Mo Shuyu backed up and hid behind Zhang Wen. He was, after all, her colleague in the emergency department. At this point, besides protecting herself, Mo Shuyu could only trust Zhang Wen.

Zhang Wen blocked Mo Shuyu and said in a low voice, “At a time like this, you’re still thinking about that? If we don’t figure something out, the zombies won’t kill us; we’ll starve to death here.”

“That’s right, Dr. Zhang. That’s why I suggested we have some fun before we die. Don’t think I don’t know; everyone in your department knows that you like Dr. Mo, too. However, Mo Shuyu still tried to persuade him. “Zhang Wen, don’t listen to Xu Xiongwei. It’s just our hospital that’s like this. We don’t know what it’s like outside yet. You’re a good person, so please don’t do anything foolish.”

“A good person? Heh, getting a ‘good person’ card, huh? Dr. Mo, I know at least five or six people are pursuing you. Several of them have even picked you up from work. Mo Shuyu shook her head and backed away. “Calm down. Everything can be discussed.”

“Discussed? Okay, let me have you now, and I’ll naturally protect my own Omega.” The ugliest side of human nature was magnified in the apocalypse, especially in an extremely dangerous situation. The usually quiet Zhang Wen finally spoke the most filthy and deeply buried thoughts in his heart.

“Stop, don’t come any closer,” Mo Shuyu said, her face pale as she backed away. She gritted her teeth. Because she had moved so quickly, she didn’t have anything on her to defend herself. The medical supply room was full of medicine, and there was nothing she could use for protection. If Zhang Wen got any closer, she would have to go out the door and feed herself to the monsters outside.

“Dr. Mo, don’t hide. I also want to know what it feels like to have the ice queen of our hospital,” Zhang Wen said, taking another step forward.

Xu Xiongwei and Xu Jun also crowded around. Their eyes kept scanning Mo Shuyu. As for the other Omega in the group, Zheng Huizhong, because she was plain-looking, no one was paying attention to her.

She hadn’t planned on getting involved. Her time was running out. But Lin Ran wanted to leave the office. She either had to climb back out the window or go through this medical supply room to get into the hospital. So, she decided to just kick the door open.

Lin Ran held the sword and looked at the three men. The man in the white coat with glasses had a greasy hairstyle. He looked like an educated man. The other two, wearing patient gowns, had a very short buzz cut and one had dyed red hair, looking like a hooligan.

“What the hell? You scared the sh1t out of me. Where did you come from?” the red-haired Xu Jun asked, clutching his chest.

“I came out of the office inside, you idiots. You can’t even save your own lives, but your heads are filled with perverted thoughts. I’m speechless,” Lin Ran said, walking a few steps forward and cursing.

“Who are you calling an idiot? I’m already a dead man walking. Do you want to die with me?” Xu Xiongwei cursed.

Lin Ran smirked. She wasn’t underestimating them, but she could probably take care of the three of them in under five minutes.

Her eyes scanned the man in the white coat behind the glasses and met the gaze of her neighbor. “Are you a doctor here?”

When Mo Shuyu saw Lin Ran, she instinctively ran from behind the medicine shelves toward Lin Ran. Although Lin Ran had been pestering her before, Lin Ran’s attitude had changed a lot in the past few days. More importantly, even though Lin Ran was an Alpha, she was a female Alpha. That was much better than being with male Alphas.

When Xu Xiongwei saw Mo Shuyu running toward Lin Ran, he cursed as he chased after her. “What are you standing around for? The lamb is getting away. Hurry up and chase her!”

With his reminder, Zhang Wen and Xu Jun came to their senses and started to circle around Mo Shuyu.

Lin Ran had also started to move. When Mo Shuyu was rushing toward her from the third row of shelves, Lin Ran found her precisely and pulled her into a hug, then had Mo Shuyu stand behind her.

She had originally just wanted to disrupt what the perverts were trying to do. Lin Ran didn’t plan on getting involved in what happened afterward. There were too many things like this in the apocalypse. She wasn’t a savior and could only be responsible for her own life. As for the lives of others, that had nothing to do with her. As she was thinking, the three male Alphas, whose minds were filled with perverted thoughts, walked toward Lin Ran. The men stopped about five steps away from Lin Ran. They weren’t stupid, as Lin Ran had a sword in her hand.

“What’s this? You’re trying to be a hero and save the beauty? If I were you, I’d surrender quietly. Don’t think that just because you have a broken sword, we can’t handle you. We’re three male Alphas. Dealing with you is easy. Hand over Dr. Mo now, and after we’re done with her, we might let you have a turn, too,” Xu Xiongwei said, his eyes on Mo Shuyu behind Lin Ran as he laughed maliciously.

Mo Shuyu’s heart grew colder as she listened. It was true. Lin Ran was also an Alpha, no different from these men. And she had also liked her before. Would she help her? Or would she be like the other Alphas and turn on her?
