I Marked the Villain After Transmigrating into a Scumbag A - Chapter 10
Water rushed across the floor. When she was placed on the bed, her feet were still dripping wet. She quickly pulled the thin blanket over her body, her hand clutching her chest, watching the woman in the bathrobe with caution.
“I walked with my eyes closed,” Gu Zhijing said, “looking straight ahead. I didn’t look at your body.”
She was completely talking nonsense with her eyes wide open.
Ye Chimu was furious. She kicked at her. It wasn’t a playful gesture, but her strength was too little. Her foot landed on Gu Zhijing’s thigh. Gu Zhijing slightly narrowed her eyes. The pink foot, the round toes, and the Omega’s embarrassed expression made for a vivid scene. Gu Zhijing knew she shouldn’t, but faced with such a beautiful Omega, she couldn’t help herself. Gu Zhijing turned and walked to the door.
“You should get some sleep. If you need anything, just call me.”
The door closed, and silence fell inside and out. The lingering scent in the air gradually faded.
Gu Zhijing lay on the sofa, a pillow under her neck. Her mind was still that of a modern person; it was impossible to integrate into this world in just a few days. Sometimes, she would instinctively think she was still in her modern life. She pressed her tongue against her teeth.
She mentally called out, 【System?】
The System scoffed, 【What, are you scared?】
Gu Zhijing said, 【What were you doing when I was carrying Ye Chimu?】
System: 【What do you mean?】
Even speaking with her mind, Gu Zhijing’s tone was low, 【You know what I mean. Don’t play dumb.】
System: 【We systems have principles. Anything involving the host’s privacy is pixelated for us】
Gu Zhijing: 【What about the sound?】
System: 【That depends on the situation. Anything overly explicit will be censored, too!】
Gu Zhijing was satisfied and told it to go away.
The System became agitated.
【You’ve made a mess of the entire city. Do you know what you did today? You beat up Zhao Kaiyu! His family is already at your house, causing trouble!】
Gu Zhijing was not bothered. 【But you didn’t stop me when I did it. That means Zhao Kaiyu is a minor character in the book, and it doesn’t matter if he lives or dies. So why should I think about the consequences? I did it, and there’s nothing to be afraid of.】
The System shrieked, 【Butterfly effect! Butterfly effect! You’re going to mess up the plot!】
Gu Zhijing: 【I’m not trying to follow the plot. If you want me to, you can beg me, but I still won’t agree.】
System: 【…】
It was in agony. After a few minutes of silence, the System said, 【I’m warning you. You’d better not get any other ideas. Don’t think about messing with the plot, and don’t even think about helping Ye Chimu get that reality show invitation.】
Gu Zhijing didn’t answer it.
The System shouted in her head, 【Did you hear me?】
Gu Zhijing remained silent.
System: 【If she gets that invitation, the consequences will be severe. I’m warning you, it will be very severe. Don’t blame me if I turn my back on you!】
Gu Zhijing: 【You’re a little loud. Go away.】
The System’s tone turned cold, and the electronic voice repeated in her ear like a broken record, 【Gu Zhijing, if you dare to mess up this part of the plot, the consequence is a bursting brain. I will fry all your brain nerves.】
Gu Zhijing put on a piano rendition of “Canon” on her phone, closed her eyes, and went to sleep.

In the morning, sunlight streamed through the glass. The corner of a curtain gently swayed in the breeze.
Early in the morning, Qin Guanghui rang the doorbell. Qin Guanghui, who had been full of energy yesterday, was now deflated. He had come to bring Gu Zhijing clothes, and he said anxiously while holding a few bags, “What should we do? The master is furious. It seems you really went too far yesterday…”
Gu Zhijing opened the door and let Qin Guanghui in. She corrected him, “We went too far.”
Those words made Qin Guanghui’s legs feel weak, and he almost fell. He looked even more deflated. Gu Zhijing pulled him into the car. He was terrified that Gu Zhijing’s “Scumbag Alpha” tendencies would come back and he would have to take the blame.
“What do we do, Miss?”
“Don’t worry. They can’t eat me, can they?”
Gu Zhijing took the clothes to the bathroom to change, putting on a fresh suit. Her hair was neat and tidy. Qin Guanghui realized that his boss had *OCD. Ever since she’d “gone crazy,” she looked more refined, but her methods were even more scumbaggy. She had beaten up Zhao Kaiyu and then taken Ye Chimu to a hotel.
(Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) is a mental health condition characterized by intrusive, unwanted thoughts (obsessions) that lead to repetitive behaviors (compulsions.)

“Is breakfast ready?” Gu Zhijing asked.
“It’s on its way, Miss. Are you really not afraid of the master?”
“Shhh,” Gu Zhijing gestured for him to be quiet.
The bedroom door opened from the inside, and Ye Chimu walked out. Qin Guanghui respectfully said, “Good morning, Miss Ye Chimu.”
Ye Chimu paused slightly, her eyes sweeping over him. She picked up the clothes he had brought and walked to the vanity.
“She’s so beautiful,” Qin Guanghui exclaimed. Her eyes were bright and intelligent, and her skin wasn’t too pale, with a warm, rosy tint. When she looked at people, she gave them a gentle feeling.
It was no wonder Gu Zhijing had been so angry yesterday! A scumbag’s resolve is easily broken by a beautiful woman.
Gu Zhijing had chosen a white dress for Ye Chimu, along with matching earrings and a necklace, but Ye Chimu hadn’t worn them. Instead, she had put on a simple white Chanel-style dress. The knee-length dress was much more modest than yesterday’s sexy, high-slit gown.
“Looks good,” Gu Zhijing commented.
Ye Chimu walked past at a slower pace. Gu Zhijing was already seated at the dining table. It was undeniable that despite her “dirty” thoughts, Gu Zhijing had a certain charm. She held her knife and fork, slowly spreading jam on a piece of bread before bringing it to her lips. Her movements were graceful and deliberate, with an air of natural aristocracy.
Ye Chimu sat across from her and ate as she subtly observed her. Ye Chimu’s family wasn’t well-off, and she had to work her way up from the bottom. When she first attended social gatherings, she had to watch what others were doing, observing which foods were acceptable to eat.
After the meal, Gu Zhijing wiped her mouth with a napkin. “I have something to take care of. Do you want to continue staying at the hotel or go back? If you’re staying, I’ll have Qin Guanghui extend the room.”
“No need. I have to go back; I have work to do.”
As she left, Ye Chimu packed the clothes she had worn into a bag. Her agent had given them to her yesterday, and she had to return them.
Gu Zhijing drove her back to her apartment complex. She reminded her to have her inhibitors ready and to take care of herself, something she wouldn’t have said in her original world. Gu Zhijing wanted to offer to get Ye Chimu a better place to live, but she knew Ye Chimu would probably refuse, and it might be mistaken as a desire to keep her as a mistress.
“If you don’t like your agent, I can find a way to get you a new one,” Gu Zhijing said.
Ye Chimu’s agency was one of the top agencies in the country, having cultivated several stars. However, big stars now preferred to start their own studios, which meant they earned more and didn’t have to be exploited by the company. This was a huge loss for the agency, so they became especially harsh on their smaller artists. Ye Chimu’s agent was a prime example of this. Gu Shichang could probably make a deal, but it might be difficult for Gu Zhijing, the spoiled “Scumbag Alpha” heir, especially with the trouble she had just caused.
Ye Chimu returned to her apartment, a three-bedroom, one-bathroom unit she shared with two other trainees. Ye Chimu had her own room. She pushed open the door, and the other two glanced at her. They were in the living room, gossiping.
“Gu Zhijing has offended Zhao Kaiyu. Is something going to happen? The Zhao family is rich, too. Will they let Gu Zhijing get away with it?” Bao Han asked. Ye Chimu, who was at the door changing her shoes, listened to their discussion.
Shu Yan could be heard saying, “Who cares? It’s better if those two scumbags fight it out and get badly hurt. How many sisters in this industry have they ruined?” She then looked at Ye Chimu with a gossipy expression. “Chimu, you were at that party yesterday, weren’t you? Do you know what happened?”
Ye Chimu shook her head. Her relationship with the other trainees was purely superficial. As artists from the same company, they were competitors, and none of them really liked the others. Ever since Gu Zhijing had shown interest in her, they never said anything to her face, but they would always talk about her behind her back. These people couldn’t see the effort she had put in and assumed she was taking shortcuts. They were jealous of her, hated her, and hoped Gu Zhijing would use her and then abandon her.
The others continued to gossip. “The internet says the security footage shows that Zhao was last seen with Gu Zhijing. It looks like Gu Zhijing is the bigger pervert.”
Ye Chimu ignored them. She took her bag to her room. The other two watched her go, whispering, “That’s a new brand, isn’t it? A luxury one.”
The door closed, and Ye Chimu lay on her bed, scrolling through the news on her phone. She wasn’t going to let her guard down just because of yesterday. But thinking about yesterday made her feel a little flushed. That woman had seen her whole body.
At the same time, Gu Zhijing returned to the Gu family home. Her house was very lively with people from the Zhao family, their supporters, and others who had volunteered to mediate. The house was full of scumbags waiting for her, the biggest scumbag of all.
Gu Zhijing walked in and glanced around. She couldn’t put names to faces, but a slight nod served as her greeting.
“You unfilial child!” Gu Shichang said. “How do you have the face to come back?”
A member of the Zhao family immediately spoke up. “Old Gu, stop pretending. This isn’t over. Just look at her attitude. She doesn’t even greet people.”
Gu Zhijing’s attitude only worsened. She found a sofa, sat down, and crossed her legs, her cold gaze sweeping over them. She looked like a delinquent who was inviting their criticism but wouldn’t listen. Gu Shichang was completely enraged. If Gu Zhijing had shown even a little bit of remorse, he would have had a way out. But now, all paths were blocked.
“Zhijing, aren’t you going to explain yourself? Kaiyu said you were the one who drugged him, and you even went and notified the media,” a Zhao family member said. “And you still have this attitude? Kaiyu has always been good to you. Why would you harm him?”
“Oh,” Gu Zhijing’s lips moved slightly. A group of people surrounded her, but Gu Zhijing remained silent and unafraid. Her ears were ringing from them all talking at once. She was completely unresponsive, and their fingers itched to hit her. Zhao Kaiyu had not only been drugged but also beaten by Gu Zhijing. His face was so swollen when he was taken to the hospital.
“Old Gu, if you won’t do it, I’ll deal with her myself today,” Zhao’s mother said, raising her hand to slap Gu Zhijing. Gu Zhijing was quick. She grabbed her wrist, her eyes sharp as she looked at the woman in front of her.
“Old Gu! Look at her! She’s trying to fight back! She’s even trying to hit me!”
Gu Shichang couldn’t watch. This whole situation was giving him a massive headache. Just then, his phone rang. It was an unknown number, and Gu Shichang wasn’t going to answer it. But the Zhao family was being so aggressive that he took the call, needing a chance to breathe.
“Is this Mr. Gu?”
“Yes?”
The voice on the other end was soft, and the tone was a simple statement. “Gu Zhijing didn’t do it. Gu Zhijing didn’t drug Zhao Kaiyu.” The voice was so calm and pleasant that Gu Shichang was momentarily stunned, filled with doubt.
He asked, “Who is this?”
Gu Zhijing also looked over, curious as to who would dare to lie so blatantly and give her a false alibi at a time like this.
“I’m Ye Chimu.”
