I Marked the Villain After Transmigrating into a Scumbag A - Chapter 5
On the way to the hospital, the System in Gu Zhijing’s mind kept laughing. It didn’t explicitly say why, but its amusement was obvious. It was mocking her for turning herself in, only to have the original host’s father mess everything up.
In the original novel, Gu Zhijing was a scumbag, a character destined to be cannon fodder. Her father was no better; the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree. A person could only be so audacious if their parents were no good either.
“Drive faster,” Gu Zhijing said in a low voice, her fingers clasped together.
The hospital room light was on. Outside, the door was surrounded by unfamiliar bodyguards who blocked Gu Zhijing from entering when she arrived.
The sounds from inside the room kept spilling out.
“I hope you will marry Zhijing.” The deep, masculine Alpha voice belonged to the original host’s father, Gu Shichang.
“That’s right, marrying into the Gu family is what so many people dream of. Ye Chimu, don’t be so ungrateful. Our studio is already being suppressed and can’t get any new projects because of you.” This was a woman’s voice, likely Ye Chimu’s agent, complaining. “We have so many people to support. Even if you stubbornly refuse Gu Zhijing, who will dare to hire you for a role in the future? Do you want to ruin your career?”
The pressure mounted.
Gu Shichang continued, “Zhijing going to jail would have a huge impact on our family. The most effective solution right now is for you to get engaged. I won’t mistreat you; I’ll invest in several new films for you. As a daughter-in-law of the Gu family, your status in the entertainment industry can’t be too low.”
This was a naked insult to Ye Chimu. She had been victimized by a scumbag, and instead of apologizing, the scumbag’s father was forcing her to marry Zhijing.
Her voice was low and cold. “Why should I marry her? Because she marked me? To help you whitewash her image? Is this your compensation?”
Gu Shichang’s gaze drifted upward. “You can refuse. You know better than I do how murky the waters of the entertainment industry are. If I want to, it’s a matter of minutes to blacklist you and make you disappear…”
Outside the door, Gu Zhijing said in a cold voice, “Get out of my way. I need to get in.”
The commotion was heard inside. Gu Shichang immediately gave an order, “Send Miss back. Put her on house arrest for a month. Don’t let her interfere with this anymore.”
Two bodyguards came to restrain Gu Zhijing. She took a step back. When they lunged, she swung her fists, punching each of them. As they got closer, she quickly released a high-grade Alpha pheromone to pressure them.
Ten seconds later, a loud bang echoed as the thick metal door was kicked open.
Gu Zhijing walked in from the outside, looking a little disheveled. The strands of hair on her forehead were stuck to her face. She rubbed her reddened knuckles, the veins on the back of her hand bulging. When she was done, she swept all the loose hair from her cheeks to the back of her head.
The air around her was still thick with her suppressive pheromones. The strong Alpha scent made the atmosphere in the room drop sharply. Everyone inside, unable to distinguish the smell, was immediately overwhelmed. Ye Chimu’s agent was the first to flee, and Gu Shichang frowned, cursing his unfilial daughter under his breath.
“Father.” Gu Zhijing walked over, her expression unchanged, still cold. She looked at Gu Shichang with neither arrogance nor deference. “I hope you won’t interfere in my romantic life excessively.”
Gu Shichang, of course, knew his daughter’s character. “Who’s going to clean up this massive mess you made? Who’s going to compensate the family business for its losses?” His gaze slanted downward. “You are. Or she is.”
“I will.” Gu Zhijing shifted her stance slightly, blocking his line of sight to Ye Chimu. “From now on, I will study diligently and start taking over the family business.”
“Ha,” Gu Shichang scoffed. “The family business will be ruined in your hands.”
Gu Zhijing once again released a warning pheromone, refusing to back down. “I hope you won’t force Ms. Ye Chimu or act against her will.”
Gu Shichang said, “I’m not acting against her will. The choice is hers.” Then he turned the question back on her. “You don’t want to marry her, do you?”
Gu Zhijing was speechless. She pursed her lips. If she dared to nod, Ye Chimu would disappear from the entertainment industry tomorrow. She could feel a chilling stare on her. Ye Chimu was also sizing her up.
Gu Zhijing was in a lose-lose situation. This novel truly had traps everywhere.
“I won’t force her until she wants to marry me.”
Gu Shichang said, “Regardless of what you want, you’re at an age where you should get married and have a child. Marry her, and settle down. You’ve already embarrassed me enough.”
At the doorway, he was still angry with his unfilial daughter and warned her again, “If you don’t come home tonight, I’ll freeze your cards. You’d better think it through.”
As soon as he left, Gu Zhijing closed the door. She turned and looked at Ye Chimu. “Don’t worry, I won’t force you to marry me.”
Ye Chimu had been watching her the whole time from the bed. She pushed herself up, her eyebrows slightly furrowed, her beautiful eyes fixed on Gu Zhijing with suspicion. The loose hospital gown enveloped her slender body, but the smell of antiseptic hadn’t masked her apple scent.
“Hmm?” Gu Zhijing was this close to someone for the first time. She took a step back, but Ye Chimu didn’t stop moving closer. So close that she could see Ye Chimu’s eyelashes.
“Gu Zhijing, did you get brain damage?” Ye Chimu’s eyes were on her hair.
In the original story, Gu Zhijing was hit on the head, almost permanently disfigured, and hospitalized for a week. Gu Zhijing carefully gave a questioning hum.
“So much so that you’ve become a completely different person?”
Gu Zhijing didn’t understand what she meant.
Ye Chimu said, “Your dad made me an offer I couldn’t refuse.”
“What kind of offer?”
“He said he’d make me an A-list actress, and I could even name my own terms,” Ye Chimu said, her tone flat. She could ask Gu Shichang for shares, or even to buy her management company. Then she could infiltrate the Gu family’s core, seize their assets, and leave them with nothing.
This plotline was never in the novel. It was a complete butterfly effect caused by Gu Zhijing going to the police station. This was how antagonists worked. They wouldn’t let an insult defeat them; they would find ways to use it to their advantage, weighing all their options.
Today, Ye Chimu was also thinking about a problem. She shouldn’t have let a scumbag like Gu Zhijing mark her. But somehow, they ended up in bed together. How it happened was a blur. Something was definitely wrong.
Gu Zhijing said earnestly, “I can also make you an A-list actress. You can wait and see.”
Ye Chimu stared straight at her, standing very close, her eyes on Gu Zhijing. “Why are you so nervous? It’s like you think I’m going to marry your dad or something.”
“I…” Gu Zhijing was a little flustered. Ye Chimu was too close. She was probably looking for something… and it was sending the wrong signals to her brain. If Ye Chimu were to truly “darken,” she might do exactly that—become her stepmother, and then use that role to torment her stepdaughter.
“You don’t want to marry me, do you?” Ye Chimu asked, her eyes full of expectation for her reaction. Gu Zhijing could have pretended all she wanted before, but now she was exposing her true nature, acting like a scumbag who wanted to use and discard her.
“…”
Gu Zhijing: “You’re too close. I can’t talk properly.”
Ye Chimu didn’t back away. Instead, she took another step forward, so close that if she said another word, their lips would almost touch. Ye Chimu stared at the woman in front of her. This woman’s lips were thin, making her look like a heartless person.
Whether Gu Zhijing said “marry” or “don’t marry” made no difference. Ye Chimu was full of mistrust. She was simply asking for Gu Zhijing’s opinion, giving her a choice of how to die.
Gu Zhijing leaned in and said in a low voice, “I’ll tell you a secret. Actually, I—”

“What’s wrong with you?” Ye Chimu waited for her to continue.
Knowing the censorship wasn’t a good thing, Gu Zhijing tried to speak quickly. “Actually, I’m (from another world). I came here to (try to change your ending), because I (really admire you, don’t) believe—”
Gu Zhijing stammered her words out.
Ye Chimu connected the words she heard. “Actually, you came here to ‘try,’ but you ‘can’t’? You’re impotent?”
【SYSTEM DETECTED SECONDARY PLOT SPOILER. CONTINUING CENSORSHIP.】
“You misunderstood. The thing is…”
“I’m a #@!*#@! I really am a person from another world!”
Gu Zhijing grit her teeth. The normally poised woman was on the verge of cursing. Why did the System have this function? She was so tired.
“Gu Zhijing, you…” Ye Chimu’s eyes widened in surprise, her gaze sweeping down Gu Zhijing’s body. The suit-clad body looked straight and strong.
Gu Zhijing opened her mouth, but nothing came out. She wasn’t impotent, she just couldn’t speak. She was telling the truth.
Her face turned gray, and she gave up completely. Maybe the villain would think she was a real person this way.
“Then why do you keep playing with Omegas?” Ye Chimu raised an eyebrow. She fell into thought for a moment, and then her eyebrows shot up as if she had an epiphany. “You play with Omegas because you’re impotent, and you like to be played with by Omegas?”
“…”
I’m not.
Why did the villain have such an active imagination?
Gu Zhijing suddenly felt a wave of inexplicable discomfort. She couldn’t help but say, “You should rest. I’m leaving now. I’ll come back tomorrow. I’ll talk to my father about the wedding. Don’t worry about it.”
After she said this, she turned around. Before opening the door, she mentally addressed the “worthless dog” in her head. Then she turned to Ye Chimu and said, “Please don’t misunderstand me. I’m truly very…” capable.
The more she explained, the more it sounded like a cover-up, and she felt like Ye Chimu was even more suspicious now.
Gu Zhijing said, “I truly respect you.”
The System, in a cheeky tone, came back online: 【SPOILER THREAT HAS DISAPPEARED. CENSORSHIP FUNCTION IS NOW OFFLINE.】
Gu Zhijing was too annoyed to even acknowledge it.
After leaving the hospital, Gu Zhijing took a deep breath. She felt so unfree, and the plot wasn’t so easy to change. Especially after their conversation inside, even Qin Guanghui was looking at her strangely now.
Gu Zhijing asked, “How’s our family business doing lately?”
Qin Guanghui said, “Miss, our business is thriving. We’re very rich. You could spend money for tens of thousands of years.”
Gu Zhijing’s eyes darkened, and she said seriously, “I’m going to sieze the throne.”
“?”
The company would be ruined if Gu Zhijing took over for a year.
Qin Guanghui anxiously said, “Miss, please don’t do that. You’ll be beheaded. I really think your brain is messed up, which led to your impotence. Let’s get you treated. Medical technology is so advanced now…”
“Shut up,” Gu Zhijing glared at him fiercely.
She had to solve this “marriage” issue. If a “stepmother” subplot were to arise later, it would be a huge problem.
After Gu Zhijing left, Ye Chimu walked to the floor-to-ceiling window, her gaze following the balcony down. She watched Gu Zhijing bend over and get into the car. The distance was too great to see Gu Zhijing’s expression.
Then she went back to her bed and pulled a black chip from a pillowcase. She took out the camera her agent had brought her and inserted the chip.
The footage quickly appeared. Gu Zhijing was standing by the door, looking as if she had been drinking. She was leaning against the doorframe when a hand pushed her out. Just as she was about to fall, Gu Zhijing quickly turned around and grabbed her waist.
She fell into Gu Zhijing’s arms, her hands pushing against her. Gu Zhijing was slammed against the doorframe, her back taking a hard hit. Gu Zhijing frowned but still protected her, saying softly, “Be careful, don’t hurt yourself.”
Then, Ye Chimu’s lips moved.
She said, “Save me.”
Gu Zhijing, whether she heard her or not, pulled her inside. With her foot, she hooked the door and kicked it shut, and the two of them ended up on the bed.
Gu Zhijing’s kisses were skillful. She stopped several times before her lips reached her shoulders. She also touched her waist a few times, only to stop when she felt her tremble.
Ye Chimu bit her lip.
She couldn’t help but think: Gu Zhijing held herself back and didn’t go any further.
The thought was too strange. Ye Chimu put the camera aside, her chest rising and falling with heavy breaths.
The camera had stopped on the scene where Gu Zhijing biting her neck. Gu Zhijing’s hand was holding hers above her head, her body tense, her gaze direct, with a beastly light in her eyes.
She bit the Omega’s scent gland, completely ignoring the Omega’s signs of resistance. She even said, “I’m just going to bite your neck once.”
Just a single bite.
She truly wanted her to experience what it felt like to be marked.
Her body was suddenly hot and sweaty. The small clip had triggered a reaction in her marked body. Her Omega desires needed to be released.
Ye Chimu thought:
She should keep this impotent Gu Zhijing around.
