I Paired Up With a Woman From an Adventurer Matchmaking App, She Had Perfect Compatibility, But the Worst Personality. When Our Erotic Compatibility Exceeded 200%, She Became the Most Obedient Team Member at Night. - Chapter 2
“Shall we head to the tailor right away?”
“Okay! How about ‘The Silver and Yellow Striped Armor Shop’ where I usually go?”
“No way in hell!”
“You don’t need to get so worked up about it…”
“Listen, do you know why I told you to throw out all your clothes?! Because they’re ugly! I said to get rid of your ugly clothes, so don’t go buying more ugly clothes at the same shop!”
“So those really were that bad… I had no idea…”
Cordelia and I walked through the town together.
We were out to replace my clothes and armor, which Cordelia had deemed “ugly.”
Her blond hair, shimmering even more brightly under the sun, swayed as she walked ahead.
She wore a wine-colored jacket with mysterious white flairs at the chest.
Since this isn’t an adventure, I’m not wearing any protective gear.
Though today’s purpose is shopping, she’s wearing tight pants instead of a skirt.
She probably prefers this pant look even normally.
Cordelia seems intent on taking me to her regular tailor.
She even said, “I’d rather walk next to someone completely naked than someone dressed like this!”, but dragging me around completely naked would get the guards involved, so I asked her to put up with my original clothes until we got there.
The exaggerated distance Cordelia keeps ahead might be a desperate measure to avoid being seen as my companion.
Well, I completely ignored her meager resistance and continued talking to her normally.
“Hey Cordelia. Where’s the shop we’re looking for?”
“…………”
“Hey Cordelia. Cordelia, come on. Cor-de-lee-ia. Cor-de-lee-iaaa~”
“Quit it! People are working hard to pretend they’re someone else, so stop calling their names like you’re mocking them!”
“Where’s the shop we’re looking for? Miss Cordelia of the Salisbury family!”
“We’re already here, so stop using my family name!”
As she spoke, we noticed an exceptionally grand building towering before us.
The structure was massive, both horizontally and vertically. Its exterior walls were adorned with religious carvings, and flags emblazoned with merchant guild symbols fluttered in the breeze – all exuding an air of extravagant opulence.
However, it wasn’t too assertive, and although it did exude a sense of luxury, it didn’t feel vulgar.
Given its prime location on the city’s main street, it was clear this establishment belonged to a major merchant guild.
At the front stood a pair of enormous double doors, each twice the height of an average person. Even as we watched, several customers entered and exited through them.
The clientele here seemed different from the common folk who frequented the shops I usually visited. There were many high-level adventurers who appeared to have some financial leeway.
“Huh. So this is Cordelia’s regular tailor? What’s the name?”
“”Boufuku Suit Aoyama'”
“”Boufuku Suit Aoyama'”
It’s hard to pronounce…
“The name comes from ‘Boufuku’ meaning protective clothing and adventure gear. ‘Aoyama’ is made up of the first letters of the four founders’ names when they started the business.”
“There’s someone whose name starts with ‘Ya’!?”
“C’mon, follow me.”
Cordelia tapped her heels as she entered ‘Aoyama of Boufuku’.
Frightened by the stark contrast to the open-air shops I usually use, I followed her back and walked on the marble floor.
“Welcome! Come in!”
“Hiiiiiiiii?! Cordelia! A pretty person just started talking to me!? Are they going to kick me out because I’m a lowlife who doesn’t belong in this store?”
“No, it’s just a normal store clerk saying hello. What’s there to be scared of?”
The moment we entered, a middle-aged man dressed in an immaculate tuxedo had approached us. His romance gray hair was slicked back, and he sported an elegantly curled mustache.
He looked nothing like anyone I’d ever encounter in my daily life.
As I cowered behind Cordelia’s back, she turned to the waiter. “Perfect timing,” she said.
“Sorry, but could you please pick out a set of gear for this guy?”
She grabbed me by the scruff of my neck as she spoke, pulling me out from behind her.
Hey! Cut it out. Do I look like a kitten or something?
…Huh?
“What? You’re not going to choose for me?”
“Your whole set of gear? Me? Why? Hmph, sorry, but I’m not that interested in you.”
Cordelia sneered at me and then said arrogantly to the shop assistant, who was bowing his head.
“I’m just browsing casually. Let me know when you’ve decided.”
“Understood.”
“Also, I’d be happy if you could make it as cool as possible. Like, subtly incorporate olive green, showing that he’s in line with the latest color trends, while emphasizing his originality. I want to make use of his slightly wild side, so something like Jack Gargoyle Club pants would be good. And the boots have to be the iron model from Label Iron. I don’t mind if the armor is performance-oriented, but in terms of brand, I’d like something made of mithril or better from Volkswagen Trading Company or Villain Viron.”
“Understood. I’ll follow your instructions precisely.”
Cordelia brushed stray blonde strands from her ear as she turned to me.
“Well then, this will make you look super cool, so you just go dress up as a doll.”
“You’re way too obsessed with me.”
“What do you mean?!”
