I Received an NTR V*deo - Episode 12
It was break time at school.
With nothing to do, I absentmindedly scrolled through my phone.
It was raining outside, so I couldn’t go out anyway.
Well, not like I’d go out even if it were sunny.
I was sitting alone in the classroom when I noticed a guy nearby grinning at me.
It was Yamamoto, one of my classmates.
His dyed hair and casual attitude gave off anything but a serious vibe.
What’s so funny?
I muttered to myself, echoing the tone of that Kansai-region comedy duo I’d watched recently.
“Hey, what’re you up to?”
“Oh, look at that one.”
Just then, a friend of his showed up in the hallway, and the two of them started whispering and snickering while looking at me.
Again, what are they laughing at?
Seriously, these guys…
Did I do something?
Trying not to dwell on it, I lowered my gaze back to my phone.
It’s best to ignore people like them.
“Hey, you’re Enjo, right?”
“…Yeah, I am.”
Before I knew it, Yamamoto and his friend had moved in front of my desk.
He looked down at me, sneering.
“You know what a root bird is?”
“I’ve heard the name.”
“Right? You do know!”
“So, what if I do?”
“Nothing, just wondering.”
Then don’t ask. What a waste of time.
Still, I was bored enough to entertain the nonsense.
“Huh, now that I think about it, Megumi isn’t here. Isn’t she in this class?”
“Why would I know?”
“If you’ve got nothing useful to say, why not leave? I’m busy playing games.”
“Games during break? Are you some kind of introvert?”
“What’s wrong with that? Try explaining in two words.”
“You can’t explain that in two words. There’s nothing good about being an introvert.”
He seemed offended, but honestly, I should be the one upset.
Why bother talking to me if you’re just here to insult me?
And again—what’s wrong with being an introvert?
“You know who I am, right?”
“Sure. Yamamoto.”
“I’m kind of famous.”
He said it with a weird sense of pride.
I don’t really see it.
“So why are you defying someone famous like me? Want to get bullied?”
“You’re making me want to bully you, actually.”
Yamamoto and his buddy twisted their mouths into nasty smirks.
What a couple of degenerates.
Even so, I decided to deal with them.
“Say what you want, but take a look around. Everyone’s watching.”
“Picture?”
“Look, everyone! These guys are trying to bully me! Somebody help!”
I said it flatly, almost lazily.
Yamamoto and his friend immediately panicked.
And when they realized everyone really was watching, they turned and bolted from the room.
“You’ll regret this!”
“Why waste your short-term memory on something that trivial?”
And with that, they were gone.
Bullying isn’t something that should be tolerated.
People need to speak out to keep it from spreading.
I’m firmly against it.
And when you confront it head-on, it’s surprisingly effective.
I just hope this doesn’t blow up into something weird.
The bell rang, but Yamamoto never came back. The lesson carried on without him.
I didn’t care whether he repeated a year or not—I laid my head down and drifted off.

“Yujiro Enjo. Hey, Yujiro Enjo.”
“…Hmm?”
I woke up to the sound of a girl’s voice.
It was Megumi.
She gave me a warm, gentle smile.
“What’s up?”
“Class ended ages ago.”
“…Oh. I guess I really passed out.”
I stretched, glancing around. No one was left.
Megumi sat in the seat in front of me, giggling softly.
“How long was I out?”
“Through the entire eleventh period. Actually, it’s already four.”
“Seriously? I overslept.”
“What are you doing now?”
“Nothing much. Just heading home—I’ve got lessons later.”
“Want to walk to the station together?”
I yawned and glanced at Megumi.
“Is it okay? Don’t want anyone seeing us together?”
“That’s true, but… sometimes I want to walk home with you.”
She hasn’t told many people we’re dating, so walking together feels a little awkward.
“It’s fine. No one will know. It’ll just look like we’re walking home as classmates.”
“Doesn’t bother me. Let’s go.”
It felt like it had been a while since we did anything couple-like.
Even though we haven’t been dating that long.
We walked in sync down the hallway, toward the school gate.

“Oh, right.”
“What is it?”
Megumi smiled. The air between us was peaceful.
“That friend of yours… Emiri Shoji, was it?”
“Yeah. What about Emiri?”
“I probably shouldn’t say this, but… you should stop hanging out with her.”
“…Huh?”
Megumi stopped in her tracks.
I could feel the tension radiating from her, and when I looked, there was clear anger in her eyes.
“What do you mean?”
“I just think she’s a bad influence. Being around someone like that… it reflects poorly on you.”
“You’re only seeing one side of her. She’s actually a good person.”
“Even so, sometimes one bad impression tells you everything you need to know.”
“Tch.”
Did she just click her tongue?
She glared at me—definitely clicked her tongue.
Megumi isn’t the kind of girl who’d do something like that… maybe she is being negatively influenced.
“Yujiro, you’re not exactly in a position to judge others.”
“Fair point.”
“Then don’t defame my friends! What do you even know about Emiri?”
“Not much, honestly.”
“Then stay out of it. It’s not like I’m causing you any trouble, Yujiro!”
Her voice echoed down the hallway.
Then, silence—only the sound of rain.
“…Guess I’m going home alone. Bye.”
Megumi turned and ran off.
Maybe I should chase after her… or maybe she needs space to cool down.
“Man, relationships are hard.”
I sighed and made my way toward the school gate.
Only the students in clubs were still around—the halls were mostly empty.
As I neared the corridor with a view of the school gate, I spotted a familiar face.

“Hoshina. Heading out?”
“Yujiro? What were you doing?”
“Sleeping. Then I got into a fight.”
Hoshina stood alone in the hallway.
She looked surprised.
“You fought? What happened?”
“Just gave some advice she didn’t like.”
“Was she in a bad mood?”
“Maybe. I hope that’s all it was.”
I looked up at the rain with another sigh.
Hoshina watched my face intently.
“You seem kind of down.”
“Not really… maybe a little.”
“You regret it?”
“Yeah. Probably would’ve been better if I hadn’t said anything.”
“Sometimes we regret saying things… but sometimes, it is the right thing.”
She smiled, her voice soft.
So different from Megumi’s purity—yet there was real kindness in Hoshina.
“What about you? Why are you still here?”
“I forgot my umbrella.”
“Want to share mine?”
“Are you sure?”
I popped it open and glanced at her.
“I’ll try not to bump into you. But if I do… sorry in advance.”
I knew she was a bit of a germaphobe.
“I’ll manage. I just have to endure it.”
“Well then, allow me to dazzle you with my elite umbrella handling. You won’t even notice.”
“Elite umbrella handling?”
Hoshina chuckled.
Her laughter was like a balm.
So gentle, so comforting.
