I Received an NTR V*deo - Episode 16
“Hmm… it’s heavy.”
When I woke up that morning, my little sister was curled up in my futon, fast asleep.
Her breathing was soft and calm—almost angelic.
We don’t usually sleep together, but ever since our older brother got suspended from school, she’s been staying in my room to avoid him.
My brother absolutely adores Sayuri—so much that it borders on obsession. On his days off, he would cling to her until late at night. Eventually, she had enough and came to hide out in my room.
“Good morning, Brother Yu,” Sayuri said with a small yawn, eyes fluttering open.
“Morning. I figured our brother would come by last night, but he didn’t.”
“I told him that if he did, we’d stop talking.”
“…Then you didn’t really need to sleep in here.”
“I just wanted to,” she replied, snuggling up to me.
I couldn’t help but chuckle. To think we were the ones being manipulated all along…
“If you sleep next to him, he’ll probably do anything for you. You’re good at that kind of thing.”
“He spoils me even if I don’t. He buys me whatever I want anyway.”
As always, that older brother of ours is completely wrapped around her finger.
Amused by their strange sibling dynamic, I got out of bed, ate breakfast, and headed to school. On the way, I found myself thinking about what Hoshina had told me—the connection between Megumi and Netori.
I don’t care who Megumi chooses to date. But if it really is Netori, I need to stop it before she gets hurt.
I sat in class, staring up at the cloudy sky, waiting for a chance to talk to her.
We don’t usually interact at school, so I wasn’t sure how to approach her.
Lunchtime came. Megumi sat with her friends, chatting and laughing. I quietly ate my bento while watching her from across the room.
Then, something caught my eye.
“Hey, come with me for a sec,” Yamamoto said to a quiet boy in our class.
It was Sugiura—the guy with black hair and glasses. He looked timid and out of place beside Yamamoto.
They didn’t look like friends at all.
…Are they bullying him?
Just as I stood up to intervene, Megumi got up too.
“I’m going to the bathroom,” she said, smiling as she walked out.
Who should I follow—Megumi or Sugiura?
My body froze with indecision.
But Sugiura might be in real danger. I can always talk to Megumi later—or even call her tonight.
I made my decision and followed Yamamoto and Sugiura.
“Hey,” I called out as I stepped into the hallway.
“What do you want? I’m busy,” Yamamoto grumbled, frowning.
“What kind of ‘business’ are you doing with Sugiura? You two aren’t exactly close.”
“What makes you say that?”
“You’re nothing alike. Like an honor student and a monkey.”
“Who the hell are you calling a monkey?!”
Yamamoto started to grab me but hesitated—probably remembering how I made a scene last time.
“Anyway, leave Sugiura alone. Bullying people isn’t cool.”
“I’m not bullying him. Right, Sugiura?”
“Uh… yeah…”
Sugiura looked down, hiding behind his glasses. But I didn’t buy it.
“If that’s true, then I’ll tag along. That okay?”
“Why are you following me around?”
“Is it a problem?”
“Tch. Whatever, forget it,” Yamamoto spat, then walked away.
Sugiura sighed in relief, though he still looked tense.
“Hey… what’s really going on?”
“It’s nothing. Really.”
“You don’t seem fine. If you’re being bullied, you should stand up for yourself.”
“You say that like it’s easy… Not everyone’s as strong as you.”
With that, Sugiura ran back toward the classroom, tears in his eyes. But just before disappearing through the door, he turned and bowed to me.
Yeah, he’s definitely being bullied.
When I returned, Megumi was already back at her desk, chatting away like usual.
Looks like I’d have to wait until after school to talk to her.
Once class ended, I quietly approached her.
“Can I talk to you for a bit?”
“Oh, okay. Wait for me over there.”
There was a coffee shop we often used as our secret meeting place. It was tucked behind the station, far from the usual hangouts. Most students avoided it, preferring the trendier café nearby.
The place was narrow, with a long counter and only three tables. I took a seat in the far back and waited.
“Sorry to keep you waiting. One iced coffee, please,” Megumi said as she arrived and placed her order with the older man behind the counter. Then she sat across from me.
“It’s rare for you to call me out like this.”
“There’s something important I need to talk about.”
She smiled brightly, completely different from the angry Megumi I saw yesterday.
“Okay, but let me say this first—please don’t get mad.”
“…Is this about Emiri again?”
“No. It’s a different issue, but kind of similar.”
Her expression hardened.
“It’s about Netori.”
“…Netori-kun?”
The moment I said his name, she flinched.
So, it’s true. She’s involved with him. Her reaction said it all.
“What happened with him?”
“I heard from someone that you and Netori are involved.”
“…We’re friends. That’s all.”
She seemed relieved just saying that. Something about her reaction felt off.
“Oh, are you jealous or something?” she teased.
“That’s not it. It’s just—he has a lot of bad rumors around him. I think it’s best to stay away.”
“We’re just friends, okay?!”
She slammed her hand on the table.
Same reaction as when we argued about Shoji.
“Why do you care who I’m friends with? Are you accusing me of cheating?”
“I’m not.”
“Then why are you questioning me? Or is it you who’s cheating?”
“Don’t be ridiculous. I’d never do that.”
“Then don’t interfere with my friendships!”
We were talking past each other. I sighed, but kept going.
“Can’t I just be worried about you?”
“Netori-kun isn’t as bad as everyone says.”
“How would you know that unless you were really close to him?”
“I’m not that close…”
“I just don’t want you going down the wrong path.”
That struck a nerve.
“What do you mean ‘wrong path’?! You’re in no position to lecture anyone! You’ve made mistakes too!”
“You’re right. But it’s only natural to pull someone back before they fall. Especially someone I care about.”
“So why assume he’s bad?!”
“…If you won’t even hear me out as your boyfriend, then I don’t think this relationship can go on.”
Megumi froze.
That finally seemed to break through to her.
She realized she had been lashing out, denying me, prioritizing her friends without even listening to what I had to say.
Then, with a nervous look, she bowed her head deeply.
“I’m sorry… I don’t want to break up. I’ll stop seeing Netori-kun. If that’s what you want, I’ll do it.”
“Thanks. There’s no smoke without fire, right? I just want you to be safe.”
“…Yeah. I was acting strange. I’m really sorry.”
Her remorse seemed genuine. I let out a long sigh and smiled slightly.
“…?”
As she kept her head bowed, I noticed something.
When she finally looked up… her face was pale.
But that wasn’t what bothered me.
Around her neck…
I saw it.
Something that looked unmistakably like a kiss mark.
