I Received an NTR V*deo - Episode 23
“Damn it. What is with that guy…?”
Netori stood on the school rooftop, scowling beneath a gray, overcast sky.
It was the day after his encounter with Yujiro, and the rage hadn’t left him. If anything, it had festered. His mood only worsened with each unanswered message and ignored call from Hoshina.
Yamamoto approached quietly, placing a hand on Netori’s shoulder.
“Come on, don’t let it get to you. Let’s just have some fun.”
“I won’t be satisfied until I crush him,” Netori growled.
“I get it. But more importantly—what happened with Higashi?”
At that question, a flicker of irritation passed over Netori’s face.
He hated talking about failure. He wasn’t used to it. His track record had been spotless—until now. But instead of admitting defeat, he brushed it off with a vague response.
“It’s going… as expected.”
“Huh. Well, I’ve got something new for you. Interested?”
“A new lead?”
“Yeah. There’s a girl—Koda—from Yokoshima High. Just started dating some boring guy. You know her?”
“Koda? Wasn’t she that easy-looking chick?”
Netori scoffed at the name.
“Yeah, that’s her. But apparently, it’s her first relationship. The guy’s average—nothing special. Kind of cute, though. Could be a good target.”
“Let’s go for it,” Netori said with a wicked grin. “I could use the distraction.”
Shoji, who had been listening nearby, chimed in.
“Count me in. I need some extra cash anyway.”
They all grinned darkly.
Their next prey had been chosen.
◇◇◇◇◇◇◇
Netori and Shoji wasted no time. Shoji quickly made contact with Koda.
“You dropped this.”
“Oh! Thank you.”
Shoji had staged the encounter in the hallway. Koda—her brown, permed hair loose and fluffy—smiled brightly as she accepted the item.
“You’re Koda, right?”
“Yep! You know me?”
“Just a little. I’m Shoji Emiri. Nice to meet you.”
“Nice to meet you too~”
Emiri’s charisma did the rest. Before long, she had worked her way into Koda and her boyfriend’s lives. They began hanging out regularly, and soon enough, she invited her out on a weekend.
Koda showed up in a cute outfit, while Shoji had dressed in a gyaru style. The two attended an underground idol concert.
“Didn’t think you were into this kind of thing.”
“I like underground idols more than the mainstream ones. It feels more personal, You know?”
Emiri nodded, pretending to be impressed.
The venue was dim and narrow, packed with enthusiastic women. On stage, five men performed. The one in the center stood out—orange hair, sharply styled, and exuding confidence. Their group’s image was that of charming princes, and he played the part perfectly.
Amid the cheers, Shoji stared blankly.
What’s the appeal…?
She glanced at Koda, who was squealing with excitement. She sneered internally.
Seriously? Acting like that while you’ve got a boyfriend?
“Do you have any favorite idols, Emiri?” Koda asked.
“I guess so…”
“It’s the same. It’s a different kind of love from the kind you have for your boyfriend.”
Emiri blinked. Oddly convincing.
The performance ended, and it was time for the fan interaction. Idol-fan “dates,” handholding, heart poses—it was designed to feel intimate.
“Koda! Thanks for coming again,” said the orange-haired idol, Ryushin.
He greeted Koda warmly, forming a heart with his hands for the photo. Koda’s delighted smile made Shoji pause.
Maybe… this isn’t so bad?
“And who’s this princess?” Ryushin asked.
“This is Emiri, my friend.”
“Nice to meet you, Emiri.”
Emiri’s heart skipped. Ryushin didn’t look like an ordinary Japanese guy. His confidence, his style—it was overwhelming.
“For your first time, Emiri, let me treat you to something special.”
Before Emiri could react, Ryushin had scooped her up like a princess.
“Wha—?!”
He held her close. Emiri blushed, caught off guard by the sudden rush.
“That’s so cool. I’m jealous,” Koda said with a laugh.
Emiri gave a peace sign to the camera, half-embarrassed, half-thrilled.
It felt like they were at a theme park.
But then reality hit.
Right… I have a job to do.
Emiri shook her head, pushing the fluttering feelings away. She texted Netori: Going in now.
Turning to Koda, she smiled.
“That was fun.”
“Yeah! Let’s come again.”
She had no idea what was coming.
They emerged from the basement venue, the evening sky tinged crimson.
As they turned a corner, a group of Ryujin boys appeared.
“Well, well. Two beauties.”
“How about dinner, ladies?”
“No thanks,” Emiri replied coolly.
“Aw, don’t go yet. We just want to talk—for, like, eight hours.”
Koda took one look and bolted.
The boys chased after her, laughing.
But before they could reach her, Netori stepped out of the shadows and wrapped his arm around Koda.
“You’re Koda, right?”
“Netori?”
“Yeah. These guys bothering you?”
The Ryujin boys froze, recognizing Netori immediately.
“Tch. She’s already with someone? Whatever. Let’s go.”
They walked off, grumbling.
Koda stayed in Netori’s arms, wide-eyed.
◇◇◇◇◇◇◇
“So? How’d it goes?”
“She’s putty in my hands,” Netori boasted. “Koda’s ridiculously soft. One compliment and she melts.”
Laughter erupted on the rooftop—the Root Birds’ hangout.
Netori leaned against the fence, savoring the moment.
“Women can’t resist pressure,” he said. “Especially someone like her. It’s always the same. They fall for it every time.”
“I’m jealous. I’d love to try it… but I guess you need to be a Root Bird to pull it off.”
Yamamoto clapped him on the back.
“Give it a shot. I’ll introduce you to someone at Ryujin—and even hook you up with a bar.”
“Really? Then maybe I will!”
“Though I doubt you’re strong enough,” Netori teased.
“Make up your mind! Am I in or out?!”
More laughter followed.
But beneath Netori’s smirk, his heart remained hollow.
This wasn’t enough.
He still couldn’t forgive Hoshina—for having someone like Yujiro in her life.
He hated that Yujiro was close to her. He hated that someone other than him made her smile.
Yes, Netori had done some twisted things. But in his own way, his feelings for Hoshina were genuine.
The others? Just playthings.
Hoshina was the only one that mattered.
But his feelings weren’t reaching her.
And the more he was ignored, the hungrier he became.
He hadn’t spoken with Hoshina much lately. That scared him.
The thought of her being with another man—especially Yujiro—drove him crazy.
A simple punch wouldn’t cut it.
No. He needed to destroy Yujiro completely.
Take Megumi from him.
Make him suffer.
How do I erase that bastard’s “blessing”?
As laughter echoed around him, Netori stood quietly, a storm brewing behind his eyes.
