First, the fact that I was able to form a contract as a lower-tier human is simple. Both Seraph and Luminous have abilities that are closer to upper-tier among lower-tier beings. And on top of that, my actions stirred their emotions. It granted me temporary power that rivals an upper-tier.

And then there’s the second point. The fact that I could form contracts with both of them at the same time is completely a hidden backstory. It’s likely because I am a reincarnator and possess two souls.

…If I were to explain this to Michael and Lucifer, they would surely ask how I know such things.

“Well… I can’t really say I understand the situation myself…” 

For now, I just smiled to deflect. Lucifer had a hearty laugh like saying,”Yeah, I guess that’s true.” After that, she continued with,

“Maybe if we dissected Luminous or Takigawa, we could figure something out? What do you think, Michael?” 

What are you saying?! 

…Lucifer does have that kind of character. It’s not that she is hostile, but she can be merciless at times. In fact, she’s known for capturing and torturing hostile entities or something like that. It’s just part of the character setting that Fujii created for her. 

That guy, bringing up unnecessary things… 

I was the one who had given Fujii a thumbs up like “Sounds good!”, but I guess I’ll let him take the blame for it.

“Yeah, if we examined the three of you, we might discover something…?” 

Michael seemed to be genuinely pondering the idea. 

This person is kind to her own but extremely cold to others. She can easily dismiss people with a smile. I still clearly remember Akasaki shouting, “That gap is what makes her great!” 

At Michael and Lucifer’s words, both Seraph and Luminous trembled slightly.

“First of all, it’s not okay to just create Soul Binders on your own.” 

“That’s right. Upper-tier angels and demons shouldn’t create Soul Binders without proper applications, and we need to think about the consequences of that.”

The conversation was heading in the worst possible direction!

“But the problem is that the rules of our Union only specify upper-tier regulations.”

“Same goes for demons. Seriously, how do we deal with irregularities like this?” 

It was me who asked Seraph and Luminous to see if they could contract with me, even though I knew the odds were slim. 

What should I do? 

Michael and Lucifer were starting to discuss possible repercussions seriously. 

…I don’t care what happens to me! 

But I can’t let anything happen to Seraph and Luminous. 

If I reveal my hidden truths, their punishment might be averted. 

…Continuing to hide things in this situation might not be the best strategy.

I don’t want Seraph and Luminous to experience developments that didn’t happen in the original game. 

To avoid distorting the story… After a moment of pretending to think, I addressed the two of them.

“Um, regarding the fact that I could form contracts with both of you… actually, I might have an inkling about one reason.” 

“Huh? What is it?” 

Both of their gazes focused intensely on me. I hesitated briefly but took a deep breath and resolved to continue speaking.

“I’m… a reincarnator. I’m a person from another world. And when I realized it, I had become Takigawa Yuma.” 

After a brief silence, surprise appeared on Lucifer’s face, and Michael’s was similar. 

“Re… reincarnator…?” 

“Yes. I lived in a similar world, but I have memories of living as another person. And then I woke up in this world as Takigawa Yuma. …Maybe it’s because I have two souls that I was able to form contracts with both of you.” 

I’m not sure what will happen next… but at the very least, Seraph and Luminous shouldn’t be treated unfairly. 

What happens to me? I don’t care about that. 

Right now, as long as those two are safe, that’s all that matters. 

For that reason, I would even lick Lucifer’s feet. In fact, I would welcome that.

The moment I confessed to being a reincarnator, the atmosphere in the room changed. 

Until then, the guards who had been silently observing us without changing expressions showed signs of surprise. 

Most noticeably, it was Michael, who had been calm until then. 

Her eyebrows twitched slightly, and her gentle smile became a bit stiff. 

Lucifer’s eyes sharpened. 

“…A reincarnator, huh?” 

Lucifer murmured thoughtfully, sending a glance toward Michael. 

It seemed there was some kind of unspoken understanding between them, but I couldn’t discern what it was. All I knew was that they were carefully considering my words.
