I Reincarnated as Just a Mob in an Eroge World, but the Heroines Are Swarming Me - Episode 26
Episode 26
My plan is to level up in Shizuho City for a bit, and then escape back to Tenma City before the Void Shadow Incursion occurs.
“Yeah. It would be tough to stay too long anyway. I think that’s a good amount of time to spend in Shizuho City. After diving into the dungeon for that long, it might not be challenging enough for you anymore.”
Yeah, that’s probably true. According to the settings, the difficulty of Shizuho Dungeon before it goes berserk is E-rank. G-rank is the lowest, and it’s one of the easiest dungeons. If I stay there for just a few days, I might already find it lacking in challenge.
“Understood. Seraph, Luminous. …I’m planning to head to the dungeon in Shizuho City, is that okay?”
“Takigawa, you’re the one entering the dungeon. So do it however works best for you.”
“Yes, please proceed in whichever way is easiest for you, Takigawa-san.”
……Yeah, I figured they’d say that. Spend some time in Shizuho City, and run away before anything goes wrong. This is the optimal plan for me right now.
“So, about the guide for the day… they’re late.”
“What’s wrong?”
“I called the person I was going to ask to guide us, but they haven’t shown up yet.”
Michael pouted slightly in frustration. If an ordinary person did that, it might seem like they were trying to act cute. But when Michael does it, it’s a different story. It’s an incredibly endearing gesture, and it feels healing just to witness.
Just as Michael glanced toward the door of the staff room, it burst open with a loud bang. The nearby teachers flinched and shot a sharp glare at the door. The one who opened it so forcefully was Kirisaki.
“Kirisaki-san… um, excuse me—”
“Sankaku-sensei. Are you angry?”
“…Yes, I am angry. Please open the staff room door more slowly—”
“If that’s the case, then I want you to drill me in combat training. I’ve already booked the training ground… let’s go!”
“N-No way! Aren’t you here because Michael-sensei called for you!?”
“Oh, right. …Michael-sama. Was it about a battle?”
“No, it wasn’t.”
Kirisaki Mizuki approaches us. When she spots me, her eyes light up with excitement.
“Takigawa Yuma. Is it a duel?”
“No.”
“I’m ready to accept!”
“Listen, just listen to me.”
I did give Kirisaki the “battle junkie” trait, but has it really gotten this bad!? As her affection grows, her battle junkie tendencies also turn into lust. She becomes the kind of person who suggests, “Let’s do it now!” in all sorts of places. As a result, playing with Kirisaki often involves risky scenes in classrooms or outdoors… but let’s forget about that for now.
As she grabs my hand and tries to drag me out of the staff room, Michael catches her arm.
“Kirisaki-san, this is the staff room. Besides, we have something important to discuss. So please calm down.”
“Something important… like scheduling a battle with Takigawa Yuma?”
“No, it’s about dealing with the Kyoei in Shizuho Dungeon. We were planning to have you go there, and Takigawa-kun will be accompanying you. So, I’m counting on you to guide him.”
“…….So, does that mean I can battle as much as I want?”
“Well, you’ll have to talk that over with him.”
“…….I’m not doing it.”
Please don’t make me fight her. Kirisaki is at a much higher level than me right now…… I think I could probably manage something if I use my game knowledge. But if I win, she’ll be even more interested in me. And if I intentionally lose, she might notice that I went easy on her. So there’s no benefit to fighting Kirisaki.
“We’ll finalize the schedule later… So, will you accept the request for Shizuho Dungeon?”
“…I don’t need to think it over. I’ll take the request.”
“…Thank you. Shizuho City is my hometown. We’ve always been short on help, so this means a lot,”Â
Kirisaki smiled happily and bowed her head politely.
…Now that I think about it, Kirisaki is originally from Shizuho City. A year from now, she’ll become known as the strongest “Ice Princess” of the Michael Union, right after the Void Shadow Incursion occurs in Shizuho City.
At the moment the Void Shadow Incursion begins, Kirisaki is in the Tenma City. Because of that, she can only respond after the disaster has already started. Although she manages to stop it, most of her family and friends perish.
From that point on, her emotions become even more subdued than they are now. Kirisaki’s story revolves around her gradually opening her heart to the protagonist, slowly becoming emotionally dependent on him. Her emotional vulnerability is an essential part of her character arc.
…It’s tragic, but I don’t intend to interfere with the main storyline of the game. So I have no plans to intervene in what happens in Shizuho City.
“When are we leaving?”
“Anytime is fine. Michael Union will provide a car, so it’s just a matter of when you and the others are ready.”
“Got it. When should we leave?”
“I think as long as we pack some basic clothes, we could probably leave by tomorrow.”
“Yeah, tomorrow should be fine.”
“Alright. Is tomorrow okay with you?”Â
I asked Kirisaki, and she nodded.
“Understood. I’ll come pick you up at your apartment tomorrow.”
“You know where I live?”
“Yep. I found out this morning.”
“You didn’t stalk me, did you?”
“You could say that.”
……This girl, honestly.
