Episode 28

I glance through the rearview mirror and catch a glimpse of Martha’s overly voluptuous chest, strapped in by the seatbelt. Her devastatingly perfect proportions nearly made me swallow hard. 

“Takigawa… What are you thinking?”  “Takigawa-san? You shouldn’t be having strange thoughts.”

Feeling the piercing gazes from beside me, I instinctively looked away. It was Luminous and Seraph.  

…… I get Luminous, but even Seraph is chiming in now. Their affection levels must be pretty high…  

“N-no, it’s nothing. Just a joke.”  

“Hmm…? Well, alright. Martha-san, please don’t say anything weird.”  

“Weird? What do you mean by that?”  

“You know… things like ‘taking care of you at night’!”

“Is that strange? I only meant that if you suddenly need food or laundry done at night, I’d be the one to handle it. So don’t hesitate to ask.”  

Martha’s words made Luminous exclaim in surprise. 

“Huh!?”  

“Luminous-sama, what were *you* imagining?”  

Martha looked at us through the mirror. Her lips curled slightly into a smug grin. Luminous began to panic.  

“T-that’s because… the way Martha-san phrased it was misleading!”  

“Of course, I intentionally said it in a way that could be misunderstood.”  

“Martha-san!”  

Luminous, her face red with embarrassment, let out a frustrated growl as Martha proudly puffed out her chest. Watching this play out with interest was Seraph.  

“What’s up?”  

“I see… teasing her like that gets quite the amusing reaction.”  

“Seraph! Don’t go learning weird things!”  

Luminous shouted, her face even redder, while Martha chuckled softly.  

“Hmph… Honestly, I’m a bit disappointed it was all just a joke.”  

“…Takigawa? What strange things are you expecting? We’re here for Union business, remember?”  

“…It was a joke, seriously.”

Even though I half-meant it, Luminous narrowed her eyes at me. Seraph, too, while still smiling, seemed to exude a little more pressure.  

Judging by their reactions, their affection levels must already be quite high just from the establishment of the Union. I’ll have to consider how to handle this going forward since it didn’t even get this far in the main game.  

“Don’t worry. If you’re ever truly in need, I’ll assist you in a completely professional manner.”  

“Honestly, that sounds intriguing.”  

In fact, I might prefer it that way.  

“Takigawa! No!”  

Luminous raised her voice angrily, while Seraph tilted her head.  

“Then, will Luminous-san take care of it instead?”  

“I won’t! Do it yourself, idiot!”  

“How cold…”  

“See? You made Takigawa-san sad. It’s all your fault, Luminous-san.”  

“Ugh! Just go be sad by yourself, idiot!”

Luminous screamed in frustration as the car calmly headed toward the highway.  

“We still have some time before we arrive in Shizuho City, so please relax, everyone.”  

…Of course.  

Considering we’re coming from Tenma City, it’ll take about an hour.  

“Ugh… It’s still early in the morning, and I’m already exhausted from all the nonsense.”  

Luminous yawned lightly, rubbing her sleepy eyes.

As we chatted and drove down the highway, I suddenly felt a light weight on my right shoulder. When I looked over, I saw that Luminous had fallen completely asleep.  

…Well, it was an early morning. Maybe she was excited, but it seemed like she didn’t get much sleep last night. My shoulder was a bit heavy, but I didn’t want to wake her up by moving.  

Soon after, I felt a slight weight on my left shoulder. It was Seraph.  

I turned to see Seraph resting her body against mine, eyes closed.  

…Unlike Luminous, Seraph had nestled up against me, embracing me in her sleep. It wasn’t just her head; I could feel her soft body pressing against mine.  

Is Seraph really asleep? We were just talking a moment ago…

As I stared at her, I noticed one of her eyes open slightly.  

“Seraph, you’re awake, aren’t you?”  

“Hehe, who knows?”  

“…It’s kind of heavy having both of you leaning on me, you know.”  

“…But isn’t it unfair if it’s just Luminous-san?”

“Well, she’s completely out.”

She was drooling in her sleep, looking completely content. There’s no way I could move her like this.

“That’s why I’m going to sleep too… Is that a problem?”  

Seraph smiled innocently, with a hint of mischief.  

…This event feels familiar. There was a similar one in the main game. When you reached a certain affection level and rode the train together, she’d rest her head on your shoulder.  

The situation is a bit different, but it’s the same as in the main game.  

Seraph’s affection level is definitely high… Even though Luminous’ affection level rises faster than Seraph’s in general……why is that?

“…….Well, I don’t mind.”  

“Thank you.”

Seraph closed her eyes, looking pleased as she smiled.
