I Reincarnated as Just a Mob in an Eroge World, but the Heroines Are Swarming Me - Episode 49
Episode 49
Despite the pain coursing through me, I clench my molars tightly and swing around, driving my fist into the face of the Kyōjū.
But the moment I deliver the blow, my knees buckle beneath me.
I try to clench my fists and rise again, but my body refuses to obey. The Kyōjūs begin to encircle me once more, inching closer and closer.
Though my legs won’t move as I want them to, I force them to drag my body along. I activated ice magic to glide across the ground.
Mana is precious, but I need to catch my breath. Keeping some distance, I unleash lightning and ice magic. I crush the Kyoeis one by one.
A Kyōjū that dodged my magic grins menacingly as it closes in on me.
“Hey now, you’re at your limit, aren’t you?”
…My response is a punch.
Evading its attack, I slam my fist into the Kyōjū in front of me. Its head shatters and dissipates into a black mist.
“Hah… Hah…!”
Damn… I’ve taken more damage than I expected.
But this isn’t over yet.
From deep within the Shizuho Dungeon, an overwhelming pressure emerges. It’s as if a colossal entity has awakened.
What appears isn’t Kyoeis—but a swarm of Kyōjūs.
Kyōjūs are several times stronger than Kyoeis, and now they’re grouping together. This fight will be even more brutal than before.
“It’s been a one-sided beatdown from the start, huh? And you’re telling me it’s all from just one human?”
“Seriously. I even sent those weaklings ahead so they could feast on him and grow stronger.”
Hearing the Kyōjūs’ taunts, I desperately regulate my breathing, forcing oxygen into my battered body.
The sound of their footsteps growing louder tells me I’ll get no time to rest.
Grinning as if anticipating my exhaustion, the Kyōjūs start moving.
“Well then—let’s begin.”
A cold voice echoes as they launch their attack.
I clench my fists once more and prepare to meet them head-on.
Faced with the oncoming horde of Kyōjūs, I have no choice but to move forward without retreating a single step. My body is already screaming in pain, but I can’t back down.
I target the first one.
Dodging its lunging claws, I slam my fist into its jaw.
With a dull crack, its neck bends unnaturally, and it vanishes into black mist.
But the next Kyōjū pounces at me from the side almost immediately.
“Guh…!”
I react too late. Its sharp claws sink deep into my shoulder, and bl00d begins to seep out.
The pain makes me stumble backward instinctively, but I force myself to retaliate, smashing my fist into its face.
Not yet… This isn’t enough to stop me…!
I grit my teeth and endure the pain, fighting off each Kyōjū that comes at me.
From the left, the right, and every other direction, they attack relentlessly.
It’s impossible to block them all.
Taking some damage is unavoidable. From here, it’s a matter of sheer determination.
Even if I get hit, I’ll take each one down in a single, decisive strike.
“…Ugh!”
Another set of sharp claws digs into my back, sending a searing pain through me.
Before I can counter, another Kyōjū swings a kick at me from the side.
I narrowly dodge it, but my footing falters. And I lose my balance.
These Kyōjūs are working together far better than the ones before.
They press their advantage mercilessly, closing in on me.
As the next Kyōjū lunges, I barely manage to avoid its attack and counter with a kick, sending its torso flying. It dissolves into black mist, but more emerge from the gate behind it.
They just keep coming.
The Kyōjūs won’t stop.
I’m at my limit—bl00d pours from my wounds, and my body is failing from the pain. Yet, I force myself to move.
I raise my fists again and again.
“…Not yet, not yet…!”
I strike and kick at the oncoming Kyōjūs, fighting them off one by one.
But my movements are slowing, and dodging their attacks is becoming harder.
A part of me is calm and detached. It begins to acknowledge the inevitability of death.
A sharp claw pierces my right arm, and I nearly scream. But I don’t have time. Another Kyōjū comes at me, brandishing a blade-like appendage.
“Damn it…!”
I can’t dodge in time.
The Kyōjū’s blade grazes my side, sending a sharp pain coursing through me.
I stumble, nearly collapsing to my knees. But falling here would mean the end.
Once again, I stand and drive my fist into the Kyōjū before me. It shatters under the blow, but yet another Kyoei attacks me from behind.
“Gah…!”
The Kyōjū’s blade tears into my back again.
The pain and fatigue blur my vision, but it’s not over yet.
I summon the last remnants of my strength, swinging my fist to take down the next Kyōjū.
Even if it’s just one more, I’ll keep fighting.
The Kyōjū swarm doesn’t let up, pressing closer and closer. It’s as if they’re testing the limits of my endurance. They’re methodically grinding me down.
As the number of hits I take rises, I force myself to persevere with sheer willpower.
To fulfill Kirisaki’s request—I must hold on.
If I was going to help anyway… I should have just talked about what would happen in Shizuho City from the very beginning.
No, I never intended to help. I still don’t want to get involved in the main storyline of the game.
If she hadn’t been desperately begged, in tears… things might have been different.
So, even if I die here… that’s nothing but my own mistake.
