I Transmigrated into a Scummy Alpha and Stole the Heroine from Her Tragic Romance ( LILY, ABO ) - Chapter 3
Her body was growing unbearably hot. The intense stimulation was making Qi Xiyao lose control over her rationality. What began as a conscious effort to resist had now turned into complete exhaustion. She could only rely on the woman beside her to keep herself from collapsing.
But then, Yu Peirong said something unexpected that made Qi Xiyao’s expression suddenly shift.
Of course, Qi Xiyao had no way of knowing that someone else now occupied Yu Peirong’s body. She simply assumed that Yu Peirong was up to her usual tricks and was planning a new way to humiliate her.
She remembered how, the last time she had almost been marked by Yu Shang, Yu Peirong had called her the very next day. After a few fake words of concern, her tone quickly changed.
“You’re so wild in bed. Of course I’m worried my brother won’t be enough for you.” Yu Peirong had laughed shamelessly through the phone. Qi Xiyao had felt the heat rush to her face, not out of embarrassment but pure anger.
Not long after, Yu Peirong hung up and reassigned a highly valuable opportunity Qi Xiyao had fought hard for to a newly debuted entertainer. Rumor had it that the newcomer was one of the many Omegas Yu Peirong kept around her in private.
As Qi Xiyao returned to the present, she thought Yu Peirong was playing another twisted game to tease her. But she truly could not hold out any longer. Her glands felt like they were being scorched by burning coals. Qi Xiyao clenched her eyes shut. When she heard the sound of the door opening, a wave of despair slowly rose in her chest.
Yu Shang had rushed over as soon as he heard.
He found out through a friend that someone had taken Qi Xiyao to a hotel. Not just any hotel, but Qiyue Hotel, one of the properties he had invested in. In recent years, after joining the family business, Yu Shang had put all of his assets into various ventures. Alongside his involvement in the entertainment industry, he also dabbled in real estate. This made him exceptionally well informed.
He had been with many Omegas before, but never seriously. Those relationships had always been physical, nothing more.
Qi Xiyao was different. She was the one he liked the most, and even though he had not marked her yet, she held an irreplaceable place in his heart. As soon as he heard what happened, he rushed to the hotel. When he saw his sister’s car in the dim light outside, he immediately sensed trouble.
Yu Peirong was not Yu Shang’s biological sister.
They were half-siblings, sharing the same father but born to different mothers. Yu Peirong was the daughter of the father’s original Beta wife. Yu Shang was born to the Omega who later became the official wife.
In their ABO society, there was no preference for sons over daughters, but Alphas were clearly more valued. Their father had initially favored Yu Shang. However, when Yu Peirong later differentiated as an Alpha, she quickly rose to an equal position. Due to her outstanding performance, she even gained a slight edge.
Yu Shang had always resented his sister, and perhaps even feared her a little.
Now, standing outside the hotel room, he hesitated. But the citrusy sweetness of Omega pheromones was too much. He gave in, unlocked the door with his key, and stepped inside. The room was dim, but he immediately saw Qi Xiyao on the floor. Her clothes were disheveled, and the rich scent of her pheromones made his heart race uncontrollably. The excuse he had prepared slipped out almost automatically.
“Yaoyao, I’ll take you to the hospital…”
Before he could finish, a sharp slap landed across his face.
The force of the slap made Yu Shang stumble backward. Despite his tall and strong build, he staggered and had to brace himself against the doorframe. He stared at Yu Peirong in disbelief, fury building in his eyes.
Yu Peirong had used her full strength. A bright red handprint appeared on his right cheek. Yu Shang felt dizzy and instinctively wanted to glare at her, but under her cold, commanding gaze, he quickly looked away.
In the original novel, Yu Peirong’s character had been described as arrogant, reckless, and vicious. She had experience playing villainous roles, so it was easy for her to project that same domineering energy now. Under Yu Shang’s furious and confused stare, her slender fingers twitched slightly, still tense from the blow she had just delivered.
When she had read this story, the character she despised most was the villainess who shared her name. She had little sympathy for the male lead either. From an outsider’s perspective, he was nothing but a selfish manipulator. Yu Peirong knew exactly how to handle men like him.
Because her attention was focused entirely on Yu Shang, the Omega pheromones in the air had much less effect on her.
If she could, she would have liked to slap him again. Maybe then she could fully shake off the effects of the pheromones, she thought to herself.
“Yu Peirong!” Yu Shang shouted, his voice thick with anger.
He had been slapped without warning, and in front of the Omega he cared about the most. But Yu Peirong’s calm and dismissive posture was like a cold splash of water. It made his fury feel ridiculous and powerless.
She was his sister in name. He could not hit her back. But swallowing his anger felt unbearable. Just as he was about to explode, Yu Peirong glanced at him with a half-smile, her face showing a trace of cold amusement. Her expression seemed to say he was nothing more than a spoiled, unreasonable child.
“A-Shang,” she said gently, using his childhood nickname. Her tone was calm and even. “Trying to forcefully mark one of your own artists in a hotel you partly own. What do you think will happen if that gets out? Your reputation as Young Master Yu would be destroyed.”
“Yaoyao is my girlfriend. How can you call that forced marking?” Yu Shang’s expression softened slightly, though he still argued. “And I wasn’t planning to mark her.”
“Any act where an Alpha takes advantage of an Omega during heat is considered forced marking. In this country, that is defined as rape and carries a minimum sentence of twenty years in prison.”
As she spoke, Yu Peirong helped Qi Xiyao off the floor. The scent of her pheromones had faded, making the air much easier to bear.
Qi Xiyao’s hand was cold. Standing barefoot beside Yu Peirong, who still wore high heels, she appeared small and fragile. Yu Peirong casually took off her jacket and placed it over Qi Xiyao’s shoulders. She did not look at her. Her eyes were fixed firmly on Yu Shang as her mind raced to recall details from the story.
“That major IP project Black Panther Media is negotiating with us is almost finalized. Our stock is rising fast. If this scandal breaks out and people find out our family raised an Alpha who can’t control himself, what do you think Father will say?”
The room went quiet. Sweat started to bead on Yu Shang’s forehead. As the pheromones in the air weakened, his agitation also faded, and he slowly began to calm down.
Finally, he took a deep breath. His eyes lingered on Qi Xiyao, who was now sitting quietly on the sofa. Only after a moment did he finally let go of his desire and take a step back.
“Yaoyao, rest well. I’ll come visit you once I finish my work in a few days…”
“Wait.”
Qi Xiyao, clutching the edge of the coat nervously, was unsure how to respond. Before she could speak, Yu Peirong interrupted with a wave of her hand as if dismissing a servant.
“Save the talking. Go buy some suppressants.” She gave him a cold glance, her voice tinged with irritation.
“Hurry up. Who knows how long delivery would take. Unless you expect me to go instead?”
Ten minutes later
Qi Xiyao sat curled up on the sofa like a frightened little hamster, nervously watching Yu Peirong prepare the suppressant injection. It seemed like CEO Yu had never done anything like this before. She had trouble finding the right spot and ended up poking the needle into Qi Xiyao’s neck several times, making her flinch in pain with each attempt.
In the end, it was Qi Xiyao who cautiously took the suppressant from Yu Peirong’s hand and injected it fully into her glands. Only when the cool liquid flowed in did the burning sensation in her body finally subside completely.
“Thank you, President Yu,” Qi Xiyao said softly.
By then, she had already tidied up her clothes, even putting her shoes back on. She deliberately used her wide skirt hem to cover her pale feet.
While she was getting dressed, Yu Peirong had turned around. Her tall and elegant figure stood gracefully in the candlelight, her calm presence completely different from the sharp and forceful aura she had shown before.
Yu Peirong had always been strikingly beautiful, by anyone’s standards. Even though Qi Xiyao was not the type to obsess over looks, she couldn’t help but admire Yu Peirong’s appearance. Her features hovered somewhere between cold restraint and forbidden allure. If it weren’t for her sharp tongue and ruthless words, Qi Xiyao might have even felt a faint fondness toward her.
But the way this woman handled things was increasingly unpredictable. After being caught off guard today and forced into an induced heat, Qi Xiyao had mentally prepared herself to be temporarily marked by Yu Peirong. She never expected that not only would Yu Peirong refrain from doing so, but she would also step in to drive away Yu Shang, who had far worse intentions.
Had Yu Peirong grown a conscience? Or did she simply see Yu Shang, her business rival, as a more fitting target than his so-called girlfriend?
Now that the threat had passed, Qi Xiyao collapsed onto the sofa, finally able to breathe a little easier. Whatever had happened earlier, she now genuinely felt grateful to Yu Peirong. Especially after seeing her treat Yu Shang like an errand boy, Qi Xiyao couldn’t deny the sense of satisfaction it gave her, no matter what the real motive was.
“Big sister,” Qi Xiyao called sweetly, her voice carrying the natural softness of an Omega, with a touch of flattery and gratitude, like someone who had just escaped danger and now clung to her benefactor. “You really saved me today. How can I ever repay you?”
“Sister?”
“Hmm?”
Yu Peirong had just been distracted and didn’t catch what she said. Her neck had been itching terribly, as if it were burning. She raised her hand but couldn’t reach the exact spot to scratch. She was completely focused on that discomfort. Her long fingers searched along the back of her neck, but the more she touched it, the worse it felt. When she finally answered, her voice was a little sharper than before.
“I didn’t save you because I wanted to. Don’t flatter yourself.”
But then she paused, and her tone suddenly shifted to something more casual and direct, just like her usual boldness.
“Still, if you really want to show your thanks,” she said, brushing her hair aside with one hand, “you can help me scratch the back of my neck.”
Qi Xiyao’s expression changed instantly, and Yu Peirong immediately realized something was off. She stood slowly and walked closer under Qi Xiyao’s nervous gaze. The faint scent of the suppressant still lingered in the air. Yu Peirong didn’t like the smell, so she held her breath as she leaned in.
With nowhere to escape, Qi Xiyao found herself trapped in the corner of the sofa by Yu Peirong’s long arms. Panicking, she raised her hands to push her away, but accidentally hooked her fingers onto the decorative button on Yu Peirong’s collar.
There was a quiet pop, and suddenly a large expanse of pale skin was exposed right in front of her. The unexpected sight sent a wave of nervous heat straight to Qi Xiyao’s face, making her ears burn. She froze, completely at a loss.
Yu Peirong, however, remained perfectly composed. She had long mastered the ability to stay calm no matter what. Even though she felt the cold air against her skin, she didn’t flinch. Her voice became firm, and each word was deliberate.
“Don’t try to use this kind of trick to seduce me or climb your way up. I’ll tell you a little secret. I’m an Omega too.”
