I Transmigrated into a Scummy Alpha and Stole the Heroine from Her Tragic Romance ( LILY, ABO ) - Chapter 7
The bar’s disco lights spun relentlessly, casting waves of shifting color across Qi Xiyao’s face, making her pale skin appear even more bloodless.
The Alpha who had opened the door was clearly a little drunk. His movements were slow and unsteady as he reached for her chin. Qi Xiyao turned her head away to avoid the touch. The man cursed, his words becoming even filthier.
“What’s with the fake modesty? You Omegas in the entertainment industry are just dressed-up toys. You act all pure, but in the end, you’re all for show. Come keep me company tonight. If you make me happy, you’ll have no trouble with food and clothes.”
He sneered and stepped closer, towering over her and casting a heavy shadow. His gaze locked on her, eyes filled with greed as he leaned in to breathe in her scent. That natural sweetness of an Omega’s body was intoxicating.
But his words grew sharper, crueler with each sentence.
“If I’m not in a good mood… what do you think your half-dead father and that crippled mother of yours can rely on to survive? If it weren’t for Young Master Yu helping you last time, do you really think you’d still be living so comfortably?”
He reached out, intending to grab her, but someone inside the room stood up.
Zhao Siyan, wearing knee-high boots, a red dress, and a strappy top, with heavy makeup layered across her face, paused when she recognized Qi Xiyao. Her surprise only lasted a second before she smacked the man’s hand away and stepped in front of Qi Xiyao, a mocking smile tugging at her lips.
“Isn’t this Young Master Yu’s little girlfriend? Weren’t you all high and mighty before, looking down on the rest of us? What brings you down to our level tonight?”
“I’m not Yu Shang’s girlfriend.”
To Zhao Siyan’s surprise, Qi Xiyao did not shrink away despite her fear. She held her head high, speaking calmly and firmly. Even with a group of Alphas in front of her, she didn’t flinch, choosing instead to explain with composure.
“Enough already, Bao Quan, Siyan,” called a man inside the room, his arm wrapped around a sultry Omega. “Whether or not she’s Yu Shang’s girlfriend has nothing to do with us. She’s here now, let her have a few drinks. Don’t let her leave so soon.”
“Come on now, wasn’t Yaoyao supposed to be a great drinker? Didn’t she just play some character who could drink without getting drunk?”
Zhao Siyan chuckled suggestively and reached out to push Qi Xiyao into the room. Qi Xiyao’s patience finally snapped. Her fists clenched tightly, and for a moment, she hesitated—wondering if she should punch someone.
But before Zhao Siyan’s hand could touch her, it was intercepted by another.
Qi Xiyao looked up in shock. When her gaze met Yu Peirong’s calm, piercing eyes, she felt an inexplicable sense of safety.
Yu Peirong’s fingers were long and elegant, but her grip on Zhao Siyan’s wrist was firm. Before she could say anything, Zhao Siyan had already backed off, awkwardly withdrawing her hand with a forced smile.
Even the man who had just been spewing filth now looked utterly sheepish. His grin turned into one of awkward flattery. But Yu Peirong wasn’t in the mood for pleasantries. The sound of her high heels clicking against the bar floor rang sharp and clear, like a hammer striking the hearts of everyone present.
At that moment, all anyone could think was: How exactly did Qi Xiyao manage to win over Yu Peirong?
But when they noticed Yu Peirong wasn’t even acknowledging Qi Xiyao, their nerves settled slightly.
Yu Peirong took the center seat and tapped the bell on the table, asking the server for a bottle of Ocean Star mojito.
As the fizzy, deep-blue drink was brought over, someone eagerly took it from the waiter and opened it for her, trying to please the elegantly dressed woman.
Tonight, Yu Peirong wore more makeup than usual. Bold brows and crimson lips gave her a striking, assertive look, but instead of appearing gaudy, she seemed even more refined. Her natural grace easily separated her from the noisy bar environment.
“Why are you all staring at me?” Yu Peirong quickly hid the disdain in her eyes. When she saw them watching her closely, she smiled lazily. “What are you looking at? Keep playing. Weren’t you just playing dice? Let me join.”
Yu Peirong’s status was far above theirs, and everyone in the room was eager to win her favor. The moment she spoke, they all chimed in with agreement. Even during a simple game of dice, no one dared ask her anything inappropriate. Only Zhao Siyan had the nerve to ask whether she was interested in finding a girlfriend.
After receiving a clear no, Zhao Siyan gave a subtle signal to the Omega beside her, who had been eagerly watching. Still, she couldn’t resist asking another question.
“So how did you and Qi Xiyao end up together?”
Yu Peirong glanced at Qi Xiyao, who stood quietly nearby without joining in. Her tone was casual and indifferent.
“She hasn’t been coming into the company much lately. I figured I’d try my hand at being a talent manager. There’s no one suitable to work with, so I’m using her as practice.”
Zhao Siyan silently breathed a sigh of relief, then smiled brightly.
“She’s not good enough to be brought around by you, President Yu. You’re really giving her more credit than she deserves. Come on, let’s drink. I’ll call a driver for you later, or I can arrange one myself.”
Yu Peirong’s gaze drifted toward Qi Xiyao’s face now and then, as if unintentionally. When she was certain the girl was unharmed, she continued to chat and joke with the others.
The man who had humiliated Qi Xiyao earlier spent some time on edge, waiting for Yu Peirong to retaliate. But when she said nothing after a while, he slowly relaxed. His eyes began to wander again, resting on Qi Xiyao’s body with a look that grew more daring.
He had been with many Omegas before, but to him, the real thrill was in watching someone fall from grace. A proud, elegant woman covered in mud made for the most entertaining plaything. Other Omegas would throw themselves at him. But Qi Xiyao, with her beauty and resistance, only made him want her more.
Yu Peirong had no idea what he was thinking. If she had known, she would have replied with one word.
Disgusting.
Some people are just filthy by nature.
“I’m not attracted to just any Omega,” Yu Peirong said casually. “And I don’t have plans to find a partner right now. You can all stop trying to match me up.”
As Yu Peirong spoke, her eyes drifted over the people seated at the table before finally settling on Qi Xiyao’s quietly tense face. Although the woman kept her head lowered, from Yu Peirong’s angle she could just make out the way her brows had drawn together into a tight, determined line.
It was clear that Qi Xiyao had reached the end of her patience.
Things were about to get interesting.
“But,” Yu Peirong said, deliberately stretching the word. Just as the woman next to her lifted her head, Yu Peirong suddenly raised the glass of untouched liquor in her hand and splashed it directly across the man’s face.
The glass followed immediately after, thrown with perfect aim. It struck his forehead, cutting into the skin. He let out a short, pained cry as bl00d began streaming down his face.
“Before you use that filthy mouth to insult someone who belongs to me, think carefully about the consequences. Next time, it won’t just be a drink and a glass.”
