I Tried to Become a Worthless Scumbag to Break Our Engagement for His Happiness, but Instead I Was Hugged, Kissed, and Sworn Eternal Love by the Ice Knight (BL) - CHAPTER 28
The girl with rainbow-colored eyes and silver hair—Cynthia Natalie.
According to Fleck’s brother, she came from a merchant family, with no noble title. At the academy, students were supposed to train together regardless of social rank. Yet here she was, barging into the student council room without even knocking, dragging unrelated people behind her, while the council members were working. And then, on top of that, she dared to call Heliosphere by a nickname, even though she wasn’t his fiancée.
No wonder even Heliosphere’s warmth had frozen over in the face of such rudeness.
Even though the chilling aura from Heliosphere was obvious, Lady Natalie, blind to the mood, finally noticed Fleck sitting in the chair that was usually empty.
“Oh my, and who might you be?”
Now recognized, Fleck didn’t know how he should deal with this so-called saint.
“Uh, I am—”
But to not introduce himself would go against his nature. Just as he opened his mouth, Heliosphere cut in sharply.
“Fleck, you don’t have to answer.”
His words were like an ice blade—an unmistakable warning. To Fleck, it was protection.
To Lady Natalie, it was cold rejection. But perhaps her sense of awareness was broken.
“Come on! It’s fine, isn’t it? Tell me your name!”
Relentlessly leaning closer, she pressed him. Unable to withstand her force, Fleck ended up speaking.
“M-my name is Fleck Torino.”
“Fleck Torino!? Why are you here!?”
“You’re just his ex-fiancé, Heliosphere’s stain!”
“…Shameless. Truly shameless.”
“Buta-kku, you’re actually kind of cute now that you’ve slimmed down.”
Even when insulted by some random boy from the general department, Fleck didn’t mind—it was true, after all. But what caught his attention was Lady Natalie’s use of the name “Buta-kku.” That had been his nickname in the dream, back when he was fat. But now, Fleck no longer had the body of a pig.
So why did she call him that? Would he get an answer if he asked her? Doubtful, but still, Fleck opened his mouth to try.
“You all, leave. You’re in the way.”
But then Heliosphere unleashed his icy blade. The three boys sucked in sharp breaths. And yet, surely something in her was broken—because Lady Natalie didn’t care in the least. Instead, she grabbed Fleck’s arm.
“Come on, Buta-kku-chan. Let’s have a chat.”
Strangely, Fleck felt some sort of magical presence.
“Uh, huh?”
Before he could even think about what it was, she pulled hard on his arm. Forced to stand, Fleck staggered, his footing poor as always. Dragged forward, he ended up bumping straight into her.
“Kya! What are you doing!?”
Softness. Then, a merciless shove.
Unable to catch himself anywhere, Fleck squeezed his eyes shut and braced to be slammed against the floor.
“Ughh!”
“Fleck!”
At the voice and the feeling that caught him, Fleck let out a breath of relief. But strangely, unlike usual, his lips burned hot and painful.
