I Turned a Competitive Variety Show into a Dating Show - Chapter 26
Shi Xu: “……”
So, getting drunk really does make you pick up stray puppies.
Even this drunk, can she still recognize me?
Did she just grab the nearest person and start touching, or does she know who I am and that’s why she’s being so candid?
Her mind raced with questions as Shi Xu grasped the hand kneading her cheek. “Sister, do you know who I am?”
“My little puppy,” Jian Zhi replied, freeing her hand from Shi Xu’s grip and pressing it against her lips, rubbing them.
“……” Shi Xu opened her mouth and bit Jian Zhi’s finger, continuing, “What’s my name? Do you recognize me?”
Jian Zhi chuckled, pressing her finger down to pinch Shi Xu’s tongue.
“Shi Xu, what are you saying?”
Relief washed over Shi Xu. She wrapped her arm around Jian Zhi’s waist and began leading her out. Jian Zhi stumbled along, her steps unsteady, and started acting up before they even reached the door.
“I’m dizzy. Carry me.”
Jian Zhi glanced at Shi Xu’s drunkenly dazed face and decided to carry her on her back instead. This way, she could hide her face more easily.
“Sister, let’s play hide-and-seek, okay? If you hide and I can’t find you, I’ll give you a reward when we get back.”
Jian Zhi blinked, her voice soft and warm. “Really? Then I want to pick my own reward.”
Before Shi Xu could even nod, Jian Zhi had already climbed onto her back, wrapping her arms around her neck.
“Let’s go!”
Shi Xu hoisted her up, stiffening slightly at the heat against her neck. Though this was her intention, Jian Zhi was a little too close. Jian Zhi’s lips were right beside her neck, as if they might… touch at any moment.
They touched.
Not only did they touch, but Jian Zhi also bit down, nipping at a patch of skin and grinding her teeth with soft, sucking sounds.
“Sister, don’t…”
“Hmm?”
Jian Zhi held her bite, her lips barely moving as she replied. Her wet, slippery tongue brushed against Shi Xu’s skin, sending a tingling numbness down her back and making her legs feel weak.
Knowing Jian Zhi wouldn’t listen, Shi Xu sighed and quickened her pace.
Jian Zhi was incredibly light, her weight shockingly disproportionate to her height. Carrying her felt almost bony against Shi Xu’s back. Shi Xu silently resolved to feed her well in the coming months. With such a frail body, she’d be blown away by a strong wind, let alone resist illness.
The fifteen-minute walk here took half an hour plus a third of the way back. Jian Zhi remained latched onto Shi Xu’s neck like a vampire. Shi Xu’s only concern was whether she might smell from the sweat, but otherwise, she didn’t mind.
Just when Shi Xu thought Jian Zhi would remain quiet, she suddenly lifted her head, excitedly patted Shi Xu’s shoulder, and demanded to be put down.
To avoid drawing attention, Shi Xu reluctantly set her down. Jian Zhi’s feet barely touched the ground before she stumbled forward. Shi Xu quickly wrapped her arms around Jian Zhi’s waist, pulling her into her embrace.
“What do you want to do?” Shi Xu asked softly.
Jian Zhi’s lips curled into a mischievous grin, like a child who had just received candy. She pointed toward something and said, “I want to go pick out my prize.”
Shi Xu followed her gaze to a brightly lit storefront across the street, emblazoned with the words “Passionate Adult Goods Store.”
Adult… adult goods?!
Shi Xu froze in shock and immediately tried to pull Jian Zhi away, but Jian Zhi shook off her hand and strode toward the store.
Afraid she might fall, Shi Xu hurried after her.
“Sister, how about I get you jewelry or diamonds instead? Or if there’s a role you want, a movie you want to make, I can arrange it. This prize is a bit…”
Jian Zhi stopped and looked at her, poking her chest. “What? Are you embarrassed?”
That wasn’t it. Shi Xu had grown up abroad and was far more open-minded than her peers. But that didn’t mean she wanted to be caught browsing an adult novelty store with Jian Zhi late at night—the photos would surely set off another viral frenzy.
More importantly, who would she use these things with, and how? She dared not cross that line again; otherwise, Jian Zhi would distance herself again the moment she sobered up tomorrow.
They had finally managed to close the gap between them, and she refused to let that happen!
“That’s not it. I just…”
“Then stop wasting time and come with me.”
Jian Zhi tugged her by the collar and pulled her into the store. After looking around, she finally found what she wanted—a leather collar.
The store had only one robot attendant. Jian Zhi pointed at the collar and ordered it to retrieve it. The robot moved to comply, knocking over other toys as it reached for the collar.
Jian Zhi’s eyes flickered with a dark glint as she surveyed the scattered whips, tails, n1pple clamps, vibrating eggs, and other items on the floor. With a wave of her hand, she declared, “I’ll take them all.”
Shi Xu stared in disbelief, thinking, Who knew she had such a hidden side? Later, she would realize all those toys were meant for her.
Not satisfied with her purchases, Jian Zhi picked out several more items, including multiple types of finger sleeves. As she bought them, she held Shi Xu’s hand, making Shi Xu feel a growing sense of unease.
“Sister, it’s getting late. Let’s head back now.”
Jian Zhi didn’t object, taking Shi Xu’s hand and leading her out. Shi Xu paid first, carrying the heavy bag of toys as if it weighed a thousand pounds.
They walked hand-in-hand to the hotel. Only at the entrance did Shi Xu realize something was wrong. She glanced up at the massive “HOTEL” sign, then at Jian Zhi, who showed no sign of concern and cheerfully led her inside.
The hotel receptionist didn’t recognize Shi Xu, but the manager did. He immediately prepared the top-floor presidential suite and asked if there was anything else she needed. Shi Xu instructed him to have the kitchen prepare a hangover soup and then erase all records of their visit. The manager understood instantly, assuring her he would handle his staff and discreetly withdrew.
Jian Zhi squatted on the floor, rummaging through the toys, completely ignoring their conversation.
Shi Xu glanced at Jian Zhi and silently moved further away.
Once she drinks the hangover soup, she should sober up. At worst, the alcohol will knock her out. Either way, I’m in a win-win situation. The advantage is mine.
With this thought, Jian Zhi held up the collar, her gaze both alluring and dangerous. Shi Xu’s heart skipped a beat, and she retreated several more steps, wishing she could melt into the wall.
“Come here, little dog.”
Shi Xu pressed herself against the wall, stealing a glance at Jian Zhi. “N-no, I’ll just stay here,” she stammered. “You can tell me what you want from here. I can hear you.”
Jian Zhi stood up, collar in hand, and gracefully settled onto the sofa. “So you don’t want to play with me? Then you can leave.”
Shi Xu: ?!
“And after you leave, will you go find someone else to play with?”
Jian Zhi’s eyes darkened, her voice languid. “Maybe. After all, if my little dog won’t play with me, I’ll get lonely.”
Absolutely not! Not even in your wildest dreams!
Shi Xu obediently approached. Being tormented by Jian Zhi herself was preferable to watching her find someone else.
She had constantly warned herself to avoid any further entanglement with Jian Zhi, pushing her away. But if Jian Zhi actually found another “little dog,” Shi Xu knew she would lose her mind.
Stopping before Jian Zhi, Shi Xu lowered her gaze and caught the fleeting amusement in her peach-blossom eyes. Before she could decipher the meaning of that smile, Jian Zhi commanded:
“Kneel.”
