I Turned a Competitive Variety Show into a Dating Show - Chapter 36
Though sudden, it was hardly unexpected. Shi Xu licked away the water dripping from the corner of her mouth, then casually lowered Jian Zhi’s legs, which had been supporting her. Leaning over, she pinned Jian Zhi down, circling her trembling waist and brushing her lips against Jian Zhi’s with a teasing, almost imperceptible touch.
“Sister, you’re truly… made of water.”
“Shut up!”
Jian Zhi trembled with shame, weakly pushing against Shi Xu in a futile attempt to escape. But as soon as she turned to run, Shi Xu pulled her back into her arms, pressing their bodies even closer.
“Satisfied yourself and now you want to run?”
Jian Zhi paused, then asked in a hoarse voice, “Then… what do you want to do?”
“Sister, turn your face. I want to watch you while I do it.” Shi Xu’s voice was husky, her desire no less intense than Jian Zhi’s—perhaps even more fervent and restless.
“Can’t we just… stay like this?” Jian Zhi’s drunkenness had faded slightly, but after the recent humiliation, she couldn’t bear to face Shi Xu.
This was the second time it had happened. Even if she had deliberately gotten drunk, she never intended to drench Shi Xu’s face. Yet here they were, with Jian Zhi completely unprepared for such a situation.
The alcohol made Jian Zhi even more sensitive than usual. An unexpected wave of pleasure washed over her, completely overwhelming her self-control. The more she thought about it, the more shame overwhelmed her, and she slowly curled into a tight ball.
Their body temperatures were already high. Shi Xu hadn’t noticed at first, but when Jian Zhi’s temperature surpassed her own, she realized how deeply embarrassed the other woman was.
“Sister, don’t dwell on such things. Focus on me,” Shi Xu murmured gently, cupping Jian Zhi’s chin and turning her face toward her. She bit down on those swollen, reddened lips, easily prying open her loosely clenched teeth. Her tongue slipped inside, entwining with Jian Zhi’s soft tongue in a passionate, mindless embrace. After a moment, she released her, lingering to gaze into those hazy, peach-blossom eyes, a mischievous smile playing at the corners of her lips.
“Sister, does it taste good?”
Jian Zhi looked slightly dazed, her clear, moist eyes unfocused and empty, like those of a beautiful but soulless doll.
Shi Xu’s smile widened. “My taste… it’s sweet, isn’t it?” she whispered.
Jian Zhi froze for ten seconds before comprehension dawned. She frowned, glanced at Shi Xu, then lowered her gaze, her thick, dark lashes fluttering, unable to conceal her bashful expression.
“Let go of me. I want to go inside and sleep.”
Her voice and body trembled, causing Shi Xu’s heart to flutter. Shi Xu nipped at Jian Zhi’s cheeks, which were flushed crimson, then scooped her up into her arms.
The sudden weightlessness startled Jian Zhi, and she instinctively clung to Shi Xu’s neck. “What are you going to do now?”
After everything that had happened, Jian Zhi’s trust in Shi Xu had dwindled to almost nothing. She was terrified that this seemingly obedient little devil-dog would pull some new trick to torment her.
“Does Sister want to play on my bed?” Shi Xu’s fox-like eyes narrowed, her gaze piercing and mischievous.
Jian Zhi’s lips trembled slightly, her voice barely a whisper. “Who… who wants that? Absolutely not. Don’t talk nonsense.”
“Alright then, if I want to be on the bed, Sister will just have to join me.”
By the time she finished speaking, they were already inside the room. The quilt lay neatly spread, without a single wrinkle—perfectly reflecting Jian Zhi’s meticulous nature. Shi Xu’s eyes darkened slightly at the sight. After setting Jian Zhi down, she collapsed onto her, as if utterly exhausted.
The soft mattress dipped slightly under their weight before rebounding, sending Jian Zhi tumbling into Shi Xu’s arms. Her nose brushed against Shi Xu’s lips, their breaths mingling as her heart raced.
“Sister has a mole right here,” Shi Xu murmured, her voice husky.
Before the words had fully left her lips, the impatient Shi Xu pressed a kiss to Jian Zhi’s upturned nose, lingering to suck and nibble at the tiny mole on its tip. Jian Zhi’s resolve crumbled under the onslaught of temptation. Her hand, which had been braced against Shi Xu’s shoulder in resistance, now shifted to embrace her neck in surrender.

The kisses grew increasingly fervent. Shi Xu tilted Jian Zhi’s chin, capturing her lips and grinding against their moist surfaces. When her lips flushed crimson and burned with heat, Shi Xu’s mouth slid down to Jian Zhi’s pale neck, nipping and biting at the mole on her collarbone.
“So sweet,” Shi Xu murmured, her voice thick with desire. “Sister tastes like a soft, fragrant little cake.”
These words were spoken after Shi Xu had taken Jian Zhi’s br3ast into her mouth. The two tender treasures—one held captive in her hand, the other devoured by her lips—were teased by Shi Xu’s tongue, repeatedly sucked, nibbled, and bitten until they bloomed into a vivid, ripe red, as if she could truly draw sweet nectar from them.
“Shi Xu, that’s… enough. Please, no more…”
Her scorching breath ghosted across Jian Zhi’s skin, sending tendrils of tingling numbness spreading from her chest, quickly engulfing her limbs and bones. Her flesh felt like it was being devoured by ants, desperately craving something to alleviate the torment.
Jian Zhi couldn’t bear it any longer, babbling incoherently. She knew only that she was refusing, but had no idea what she was saying.
“Enough?” Shi Xu’s eyebrow twitched, a dark glint flashing in her eyes. “This part’s done, then? Time to move on? Very well, Sister. Whatever you desire, I will give you.”
“N-no, not… ugh!”
Slender fingers glided over her snow-white, tender skin, plunging directly into her warm, moist depths. Using the existing lubrication, they stirred a tempestuous storm without resistance.
The sound of water grew increasingly pronounced. Jian Zhi dared not even breathe, overwhelmed by shame. Her toes curled, digging into the sheets like pink, glistening fruits. Her slender legs were taut, and if Shi Xu hadn’t pinned them with one of her own, Jian Zhi’s hands would have moved without hesitation.
Jian Zhi whimpered incoherently, her lips swallowing every unspoken sound until they were one: she within me, and I within her.
Jian Zhi quickly ran out of air and, dazed, gave up resisting. This emboldened Shi Xu, whose hatred and desire burned hotter and softer.
Time seemed to slow to a crawl. Jian Zhi felt her head spinning, as if she were floating on clouds toward the sky. Terrified, she crawled under the bed while Shi Xu washed her hands, her ankle shrinking from the icy touch. Shi Xu tightened her grip slightly.
“The night is still young,” Shi Xu murmured.
Jian Zhi had no idea when she fell asleep. When she woke up, her eyes were dry and her body ached as if she’d been run over by a car. She tried to speak, but her throat was so parched it felt glued shut. She sat up stiffly and noticed a bottle of water and a note on the table.
Sister, I’m leaving early. Breakfast is on the table, and you can wear my clothes. The clothes in the closet are all new—pick whatever you like. If you want, you can take everything.
The note ended with a cute little stick figure making a heart with its hands, just as adorable as Shi Xu herself.
Jian Zhi gulped down a glass of water before feeling somewhat alive again. She threw back the covers and stepped out of bed, but her legs buckled the moment her feet touched the carpet, sending her sliding smoothly to her knees.
Suddenly recalling the events of the previous night, Jian Zhi’s face flushed crimson as she muttered a curse at Shi Xu. Every time Shi Xu claimed it would be the last time, they ended up going until dawn. If today’s shoot hadn’t been scheduled for the afternoon, her work would have been severely delayed.
The lingering sensation of foreignness persisted, accompanied by a slight burning ache and a dull soreness. Jian Zhi sat on the floor for a long while, suppressing her embarrassment, before slowly pulling herself up by gripping the bed.
Opening the wardrobe, she found it filled with designer clothes, many of them limited editions—items that even money couldn’t guarantee. After much deliberation, she finally chose a low-key luxury outfit tucked away in a corner: a silver-and-black ensemble with a neutral aesthetic. Though it didn’t quite match her usual style, it didn’t look half bad when she put it on.
On the dining table, she found another small note:
If you’re not feeling well, rest. We can reschedule tomorrow’s shoot—I’ll explain to the production team.
The note ended with the same heart-shaped stick figure. Jian Zhi could almost picture Shi Xu making that gesture. After a moment’s thought, she tucked the note away.
When she returned to the dormitory, Shi Xu wasn’t there, but she did find Xue Qing looking refreshed and energized. Xue Qing immediately rushed over, teasing, “Oh, Senior Sister, trying out a new style? Is this some kind of ‘girlfriend shirt’ look?”
Jian Zhi pushed Xue Qing’s face away as she tried to get closer, retorting, “How did the battle go? You look like you’re floating on air—you must be in a great mood.”
“Great? It’s beyond great! It couldn’t be better!” Xue Qing’s cheeks flushed with excitement. “You wouldn’t believe how trashy that bastard is! Even after we broke up, he dared to bring someone to my apartment for a hookup. I stormed in and slapped them both! They didn’t dare make a peep. It was so satisfying!”
Jian Zhi couldn’t quite gauge Xue Qing’s true feelings. On the surface, she certainly seemed to be basking in satisfaction, just as she claimed.
“That Xia guy? He’s always been a scumbag. But that little influencer actually admitted she knew he had a girlfriend all along! She said she was just chasing thrills as a third party. Disgusting!”
Jian Zhi shuddered at the thought. Though she had never been in a relationship herself, she couldn’t tolerate such cold-and-hot treatment. Once someone’s heart wandered, the relationship should end.
“Hey, where’s your little shadow, Shi Xu?”
“Shi Xu! Are you trying to drive me crazy?!” Shi Mu threw the tablet down in front of her, the screen displaying a CP-themed video featuring Shi Xu and Shu Yueyao, along with screenshots of Shi Xu liking Shu Yueyao’s reposts.
The marketing account claimed the two had been together for ages, citing carefully selected clips from the show to “prove” their theory.
With the endorsement of a major influencer boasting over two million followers, the CP fandom went wild, creating dedicated fan groups and flooding social media with posts. While the numbers for each pairing weren’t massive, the sheer volume was enough to make Shi Xu deeply uncomfortable.
“Ancestor, just keep a low profile! If Big Sister finds out, your dreams of stardom will be shattered.”
Shi Mu sighed deeply and gestured for the tablet. Shi Xu quickly handed it over with both hands, whispering, “Mother and Mommy have already approved. What right does she have to interfere?”
Shi Mu stared at her. “Then go tell her yourself. I’m done dealing with this.”
“No, no, I was wrong! My beautiful, kind-hearted, generous, elegant, and noble Sister, please, you absolutely must keep Big Sister calm! I’m begging you~”
Shi Mu sighed softly, tapping her tablet. “The trending topic has been taken down. This marketing account was likely hired by the opposing company. There are still ten episodes left, so watch your words and actions. If you cause another mess like this, I won’t clean up after you again.”
Shi Xu nearly dropped to her knees, grabbing Shi Mu’s hand and showering her with praise. Shi Mu rolled her eyes. “Alright, alright, go away now. You’re having lunch with Big Sister later, and it’s almost time to leave.”
“Please put in a good word for me! Whether I can continue my career in the entertainment industry depends on you.”
Shi Mu waved her off, watching Shi Xu’s gleeful retreating figure, the corners of her lips slowly curving upward.
She really hasn’t grown up at all.
The afternoon’s recording session was the team selection for the third public performance. After the song was announced, Shi Xu had already made up her mind. She glanced at Jian Zhi, who was wearing her clothes but maintaining a detached expression, and lowered her gaze.
Jian Zhi remained the most popular contestant. After selecting two strong performers, she reserved the final spot for Shi Xu, confidently assuming Shi Xu would choose her team from the three available. To her surprise, Shi Xu didn’t even spare her a glance, instead walking straight to Shu Yueyao’s team.
