I Was a Royal Palace Knight, But I Turned Out to Be an Omega, So I Had to Resign (BL) - Chapter 20
“──Cyril!”
I hear a voice.
“Cyril! Where are you!?”
Someone’s shouting from a distance, but my mind feels like it’s drowning in mud. My senses are blurred, like a fevered dream where reality and fantasy mix.
“Cyril! Answer me!”
The voice grows a little closer.
“Cyril!”
Suddenly, someone appears in front of me. My vision is hazy, and I can’t make out the details clearly. But I can see their golden hair and deep blue eyes as clearly as day.
“Leon… Your Highness…?”
I murmur weakly. It’s definitely Prince Leon standing there. But he’s not the usual calm, composed prince I know. His expression is filled with a raw urgency I’ve never seen before.
“Cyril! Are you okay!?”
Prince Leon grabs my shoulders and shakes me. His hands are trembling—a rare sight.
“Your Highness… the warehouse… I was looking for…”
I force the words out of my mouth.
“You idiot! Now’s not the time to talk about that!”
Leon’s voice booms above me, unusually rattled. I squint weakly at him.
He can get this upset…?
I think to myself as I try to lift my body.
“Why… are you here…?”
My question makes Leon continue.
“When I woke up and noticed you were gone, I caught a scent in your room. I suspected you’d gone into heat. Outside, I saw Valen Kirshtein frantically searching for someone. I guessed it was you.”
“Valen… What happened to him…?”
I ask hesitantly, and Leon answers with a cold tone.
“I made sure he won’t bother us, at least not fatally.”
He… does things like that…?
I’m surprised. This side of him, so different from his composed demeanor, throws me off.
Leon goes on.
“I followed your scent here. The door was locked from the inside, so I broke it down with an axe.”
An axe…?
I almost laugh at the image. The ever-perfect prince, wielding an axe to break a door, seems absurd.
But as the laugh rises in my throat, a sharp, intense pain surges through me. My heat flares up again, flooding me with unbearable sensations.
“Ah…!”
The overwhelming desire rips through my body, making me tremble and gasp. I can’t even manage a laugh—just desperate, strangled sounds.
“Haa… damn it…”
Leon’s presence becomes excruciatingly vivid. His scent, his warmth—everything about him stokes the fire inside me.
If this goes on, I’ll…
My mind races. My growing, uncontrollable need for him is terrifying.
I’ll end up attacking him…
I try to crawl away from him, dragging myself backward.
“Why are you running?”
Leon looks puzzled, stepping closer.
“Please, Your Highness, stay away from me… I can’t…”
The words barely escape my dry throat. I shake my head, trying to cling to sanity.
“I’m in heat. I can’t think straight. All I want is you… so please… don’t come any closer!”
Leon’s face shows a flicker of surprise. Then, he steps forward.
“Stop it! Don’t come any closer!”
I grab a bottle of chemicals nearby and throw it at him. My weakened body can’t muster much strength, and it flies harmlessly past him.
“Stay away!”
I throw whatever I can find—bags of supplies, random objects from the shelves—but nothing hits him.
“Stop, Cyril.”
His voice is calm but firm, and he keeps coming closer.
“Please… don’t…”
I back up until I hit the wall. I have nowhere left to run. Leon stands in front of me and grabs my wrists, pinning them against the wall.
“Let go… Your Highness…”
My voice cracks with desperation.
“Please… spare me…”
Heat surges through me, and just his touch sends shockwaves through my body. Every part of me burns, desire intensifying with every second.
“I want you to want me, Your Highness—not out of duty or obligation, but because I’m someone you care about…”
My words trail off.
Leon silences me with his lips.
“…!”
I stare at him, wide-eyed, as his kiss deepens. It’s overwhelming, filled with an intensity that shakes me to my core.
“Mmph…!”
I instinctively try to pull away, but he pins my wrists above my head and presses me against the wall with his body. He kisses me again, even more passionately.
“Haa… ah…”
His tongue explores my mouth, relentless and hungry. I’m breathless, my resistance melting away as I find myself responding.
“Ah… mmh…”
Each kiss leaves me trembling, and when he finally pulls back, I gasp for air.
Then, he looks into my eyes and says softly but with unshakable conviction:
“You’re the one I care about most.”
His voice is low, but the weight of his words is undeniable.
“You’re the only one I want.”
His confession ignites something deep inside me, making my heart race uncontrollably.
“Your Highness…”
“Just Leon.”
He corrects me and presses me against the wall again. The usual calm in his eyes is replaced by a burning desire.
“Leon…”
It feels strange but intimate to call him by name. It makes my head spin more than the heat itself.
“I… I want you, Leon… so much it’s driving me crazy…”
Tears stream down my face as I admit it, my remaining reason unraveling.
Leon wipes my tears with his fingers and holds me gently. Somehow, his touch soothes me, even as my body burns hotter.
“Leon… help me…”
I reach out to him, my voice breaking. I can’t take it anymore.
“I will.”
His words are a promise. He leans down, capturing my lips again, and gently lowers me onto the warehouse floor.
