Episode 1  

A quiet examination room.  

The white curtains swayed lightly in the breeze as a woman gently stroked her large, round belly. She was lying on the examination table.  

A doctor at a small local hospital placed a device softly against her abdomen, continuing with the routine checkup.  

“Amakusa-san, your baby seems healthy. Now, we’ll do the magic power measurement as the final step.”  

In the peaceful atmosphere, the doctor operated the measurement device and looked at the monitor.  

Magic power measurement. In today’s world, where dungeons were a reality and the explorer profession was mainstream, this test had become completely standard.  

But then, it happened.  

The number displayed on the machine quickly rose, reaching 100.  

“…Huh? Huh?! Wh-why is the device maxing out its reading!?”  

The experienced doctor’s voice was filled with confusion. The nurse and the woman alike widened their eyes in shock.  

As everyone froze in astonishment, the device began emitting strange noises. It trembled violently as its lights flickered on and off.  

“This is bad! The device can’t handle it—!”  

“Kyaa!”  

The moment the doctor shouted, the device sparked, releasing smoke and an ear-splitting bang.  

Acting quickly, the doctor shielded the woman with his body.  

“D-doctor, are you okay!?”  

“Y-yes…! Nurse, contact the Explorer Association immediately! Request that they send the latest measurement device!”  

Following his urgent instructions, the nurse dashed out of the room.  

Meanwhile, the woman on the examination table looked at the doctor. Her face was a mix of bewilderment and concern.  

“D-doctor… what does this mean?”  

Her question was met with a somewhat excited response from the doctor.  

“You know that explorers’ ranks are determined by their magic power levels to ensure fairness, correct?”  

“Y-yes… but I don’t know much about the specific numbers…”  

“Let me put it this way: a reading of 100… is a realm no current explorer has ever reached. It’s the highest number ever recorded in the world.”  

With a smile, the doctor told her:  

“In other words… your baby is destined to be the world’s greatest S-rank explorer!”  

Subsequent testing by representatives from the Explorer Association confirmed that the device had not malfunctioned. The news spread like wildfire, shocking the world.  

“A world-first achievement! The fastest and most powerful S-rank explorer is born!”  

“Unprecedented levels of magic power! A hero to carry Japan’s future is about to be born!”  

The woman was soon transferred to a larger hospital in the city, where her delivery was surrounded by media personnel and security guards.  

When the baby was safely delivered, executives from the Explorer Association spoke with barely contained excitement. It was as if they were heralding the dawn of a new era.  

“We, in Japan, have been blessed with an explorer who will lead us into the future. This is a symbol of new hope and a moment of global pride.”  

Government officials also reacted promptly to the news, holding a press conference.  

With solemn expressions, the ministers announced the establishment of a national support system to nurture the future hero.  

“For his safety, growth, and eventual role in protecting the peace of Japan and the world, we will provide full government support.”  

The enthusiasm across Japan was unrelenting.  

Celebrities, athletes, influencers, and other prominent figures shared their congratulations through social media.  

People from all walks of life celebrated this historic birth.  

Across Japan, and even around the world, people pinned their dreams and endless hopes on this newborn child.  

Thus, the world’s fastest S-rank explorer—Haruto Amakusa—was born.
