I Woke Up And Found Myself Married - Chapter 57
“I really like you.”
Ji Fuyi said it word by word, every syllable crystal clear.
Yu Wei froze after hearing her say that. She just stared at her blankly for a long while, unable to respond.
Ji Fuyi began to feel puzzled. Hadn’t Yu Wei always been waiting for her confession? Now that she had spoken her heart clearly, why was Yu Wei reacting like this?
Outside the window, the sea breeze howled more fiercely, battering the glass with wave after wave. The ocean roared, crashing onto the shore, sweeping up countless grains of sand and dragging seashells deep into the bottomless sea.
The storm poured down on the ocean’s surface, and the raindrops quickly disappeared, merging into the vast, boundless waters.
On the ceiling, a multi-branch chandelier with a tropical island flair swayed gently, casting warm yellow light and dim shadows that danced over the light green floral wallpaper.
Staring at the shadows on the wall, Yu Wei finally came to her senses. Her heart skipped a beat.
It was as if something inside her had awakened. In that moment, all other sounds in the world faded away, leaving only Ji Fuyi’s “I really like you,” glowing like golden sunlight and illuminating her entire world.
She used to think those kinds of feelings were just metaphors—romantic ideals imagined by poets and dreamers.
But right now, she truly felt as if flowers were blooming in her heart, as if she were floating among the clouds.
“You really like me?”
She repeated softly, her voice tinged with uncertainty, as she looked at Ji Fuyi.
Yu Wei both hoped Ji Fuyi would say it again so she could hear it one more time—and also hoped Ji Fuyi would lightly tap her like always and tease her for being silly.
“I really like you.”
Ji Fuyi gently stroked her back, her fingers tracing along her spine, joint by joint, then back up again—gentle as a still lake.
With a steady voice, she repeated what Yu Wei had just said. As if reading Yu Wei’s thoughts, she tapped Yu Wei’s hand lightly and said:
“I like you.”
“The kind of like that you like me.”
“No more asking.”
Yu Wei nodded dumbly. This was indeed Ji Fuyi—her most beloved wifey.
The one who smiled at her with warmth, lay obediently in her arms, lifted her chin with a teasing gaze, spoke words that made her blush, and even trapped her in an embrace, leaving invisible marks on her neck.
She no longer had any doubts.
Ji Fuyi’s feelings were exactly as she had hoped, exactly as she had imagined, and just what she had longed for. Ji Fuyi returned her love with the same intensity.
Yu Wei sat beside Ji Fuyi, leaning with her against the soft sofa and said, “I get it now.”
With a bright smile and an excited tone, she said, “We’re dating now!”
“Yes.”
Ji Fuyi looked at her, amused and utterly fond.
She nodded and said:
“We’re dating now.”
“So now, you’ll do all the things couples do with me?”
Yu Wei looked at her with anticipation, her mind flashing through countless scenes from the idol dramas she had watched in her teenage years.
Ferris wheels, arcades, claw machines… They flickered through her mind as she imagined what Ji Fuyi would look like in those moments.
“I don’t really know what we should do, but whatever you want to do, I’ll go with you.”
Ji Fuyi smiled and nodded, then asked:
“What do you want to do?”
“That’s a secret for now,” Yu Wei replied mysteriously, pointing at the Summer Island Travel Guide. “But the things I want to do on this island—you have to do them with me.”
“Okay,” Ji Fuyi replied with a helpless smile, “No problem.”
Back then, what was Yu Wei really thinking?
She looked at Ji Fuyi every day, harboring feelings of affection and desire, yet not daring to say or do anything—what kind of emotional state must that have been?
Was that why she now seemed so excited?
Ji Fuyi sighed quietly in her heart. “What are we doing tomorrow?”
“Tomorrow~”
Yu Wei’s tone was sing-songy, clearly in a great mood.
“We’re going to the Summer Island Aquarium. I heard half of it is above the sea and the other half is underwater. It’s super rare!”
“Alright.”
Ji Fuyi naturally agreed. She had never been the type to plan outings. As a child, she had been busy with school and part-time jobs; after debuting, it was nonstop filming. Her way of relaxing was just checking into resort hotels, closing the curtains, and watching movies in bed.
“Do you like aquariums, Weiwei?”
“I do! I’ve been to quite a few before. Aquariums feel more peaceful than other places.”
Yu Wei opened the travel guide and pointed to the aquarium page, showing Ji Fuyi the illustrations.
“You can see a lot of fish, and jellyfish, and even sea lions. They’re actually really cute.”
“The way you describe it makes me look forward to it.”
Ji Fuyi smiled and nodded, truly feeling a bit excited.
She had never been to an aquarium—only seen commercials on TV. In her mind, aquariums were tall glass walls with deep blue water and swarms of fish behind them, like silver stars swimming in space.
“I’ve never been to an aquarium before.”
“Perfect!” Yu Wei made a victory sign and got even happier. “Your first aquarium trip is with me!”
Then she continued flipping through the guide, chattering about other attractions. She wanted to see Summer Island’s volcano, go pick up volcanic stones, visit the infinity pool and take pictures together.
Ji Fuyi agreed to everything. In Yu Wei’s vivid narration, it was like a painting slowly unfolding before her. Her once dull, colorless life was being painted in vibrant hues by Yu Wei’s words.
Seeing Ji Fuyi nod to every suggestion, Yu Wei couldn’t help but ask:
“Fuyi, is there anywhere you want to go? Are you really okay with all these places?”
“Of course I’m okay.”
Ji Fuyi looked at her expression—Yu Wei’s smile held a hint of unease, as if afraid she might be unhappy.
She reached out and pinched Yu Wei’s cheek playfully, trying to drive away that anxiety, and said with a laugh:
“The places you mentioned all sound fun.”
“Then it’s settled, I’ll take you to play!”
Yu Wei’s cheek was still tingling from the pinch. She realized she’d been a little nervous just now, but Ji Fuyi’s playful gesture helped her relax. She hugged Ji Fuyi’s arm and smiled:
“Why’d you pinch my face, huh?”
“Not allowed?”
Ji Fuyi raised an eyebrow and pinched her again.
The touch was soft and warm, her delicate skin gently brushing Ji Fuyi’s fingertips with a pleasant warmth.
Yu Wei puffed out her cheeks and looked at her—she was sure Ji Fuyi had done it on purpose.
“You did that on purpose, didn’t you?” she asked in a small, unsure voice.
“Yup.”
Ji Fuyi replied with no attempt to hide it—calm and straightforward:
“I did it on purpose.”
She smiled with a bit of smugness, as if daring Yu Wei to react.
Yu Wei had been about to grumble, but the moment she saw Ji Fuyi’s smile, all her irritation melted away.
“Well, if you want to pinch, go ahead and pinch.”
She leaned her face toward Ji Fuyi and said, pretending to be pitiful but with a grin:
“My face is right here—go on, pinch it.”
“Now I’m a little scared…”
Ji Fuyi leaned back a bit, playfully pretending to tremble.
“What’s there to be afraid of!”
Yu Wei puffed up her cheeks, moving in closer.
“It’s not like I’ll eat you!”
Ji Fuyi chuckled and quickly leaned in to kiss her cheek.
“Did you like that?”
Yu Wei froze, blushing as she slowly processed what happened. Ji Fuyi watched her face flush deeper and deeper, until she finally mumbled:
“You already kissed me… why are you asking if I liked it…”
Ji Fuyi laughed again, clearly in a very good mood.
Yu Wei gave her a light slap on the hand, signaling her dissatisfaction.
Ji Fuyi asked mischievously: “You didn’t like it?”
“I did!” Yu Wei retorted quickly, then kissed her cheek too. “Who said I didn’t like it?”
After a pause, she asked:
“This means we’re dating now, right?”
Ji Fuyi nodded. “Of course.”
“Awesome!”
Yu Wei excitedly pulled out her phone, opened her calendar, and carefully marked the date with a red heart. It stood out against the blank calendar.
“You’re my girlfriend now!”
“Girlfriend?”
Ji Fuyi smiled. “Not wife?”
Yu Wei froze. Did she hear that right?
But from Ji Fuyi’s teasing expression, she clearly hadn’t misheard.
That bold label made her already blushing cheeks turn even redder.
Ji Fuyi was secretly amused as she looked at the beautiful, delicate, quietly strong girl in front of her. She suddenly wanted to hold her hand.
So she did.
She took Yu Wei’s hand in hers, wrapping her fingers gently around it, lightly brushing over the soft skin. A small voice rose in her heart: This person belongs to me.
This lovely, radiant girl—she’s mine.
There was no evidence needed, no logic—just their hearts.
For the first time, she truly realized how deeply she liked Yu Wei—and that Yu Wei loved her just as much.
Their matching feelings were like a chain binding them together.
Her heartbeat was calm and steady, but the mark on the back of her neck began to burn, and her breathing grew faster. Images flashed through her mind—
Yu Wei drinking milk. Yu Wei wanting to collect seashells with her. Yu Wei’s skin under her fingers while applying sunscreen. Her butterfly-shaped shoulder blades. Fine white sand. Rolling waves. Kissing her. That burning blue sky. A fiery sunset.
These memories, vivid and alive, played in her mind.
A thought she was never supposed to have as an Omega repeated again and again:
Mark her.
Mark Yu Wei.
Ji Fuyi tried to slow her breath, to push away the absurd thought—but the mark Yu Wei had left on her neck burned hotter, almost painful.
That cold, sweet scent filled the air, wrapping around Yu Wei like a vast, tempting net.
“Fuyi…”
Yu Wei called her name softly. Ji Fuyi’s scent was too intoxicating—she couldn’t handle it.
Her fingers pressed against Ji Fuyi’s neck, right on that kiss mark. Beneath the thin skin, she could feel the Omega gland throbbing—it was the source of that sweet, cold scent that made her dizzy.
Ji Fuyi didn’t answer.
Instead, she lowered her head, kissing Yu Wei’s neck. Then, colder than her scent, her teeth grazed the skin—bringing a sharp sting, and a secret, subtle pleasure.
Her breath trailed along Yu Wei’s ear, and Ji Fuyi whispered in a sultry voice, laced with dominance:
“You promised. Now lie down and act like an O.”
