I Woke Up And Found Myself Married - Chapter 61
Yu Wei’s voice was soft and quiet. Just as the words left her mouth, her hand moved—one finger hooked the toy bag from Ji Fuyi’s hand while she was still stunned.
As soon as Ji Fuyi felt her hand lighten, she immediately reacted and exclaimed in a hushed voice, “Hey! Why’d you take it?”
Yu Wei shot her a sidelong glance, a triumphant smile playing on her lips. “I did call you ‘jiejie!’”
“Well, true.”
Ji Fuyi gave a meaningful smile and said, “Jiejie kisses you, then.”
With that, a gentle kiss landed on her forehead.
Yu Wei only felt something soft brush against her skin—exceptionally light, with a tenderness that was hard to describe. It made her heart feel ticklish.
“Do you want jiejie to kiss you again?”
Ji Fuyi looked at her calmly, smiling with amusement.
“No need!”
Yu Wei felt her face heating up, the warmth spreading from behind her ears all the way to her cheeks. She quickly turned away, not wanting Ji Fuyi to see her blushing.
“One kiss isn’t enough?”
“You’re the one who asked me to kiss you.”
Ji Fuyi stated calmly, her tone neutral and factual, as if merely reciting a line.
“Just one kiss really enough? I remember someone once said, ‘How can one kiss ever be enough?’”
Yu Wei was just turning away, originally only trying to hide her face, but now she strode off in large steps, radiating a clear “I’m ignoring you” energy.
Ji Fuyi was unbelievable! How could she bring up the private things they’d said to each other in such a public place like a beach?!
Even as she stormed off in a huff, Yu Wei kept glancing back to make sure Ji Fuyi was still following.
Ji Fuyi strolled along casually behind her, and when Yu Wei turned back for the third time, she heard Ji Fuyi let out a soft chuckle.
“What are you laughing at!”
Yu Wei suddenly stopped in her tracks, causing Ji Fuyi to nearly bump into her.
“Why’d you suddenly stop?” Ji Fuyi asked, playing innocent.
“You tell me what’s so funny!” Yu Wei demanded.
“Me?” Ji Fuyi looked at her, the smile at the corners of her mouth deepening. “It’s just… you’re clearly worried I’ll disappear, but you still insist on walking ahead like you don’t care. It’s kinda cute.”
“I’m not cute!”
Yu Wei retorted instantly. As an Alpha, how could she constantly be called cute? If Ji Fuyi kept thinking she was cute, would their dynamic change?
“I wasn’t checking to see if you were there—I was just afraid I’d take the wrong path.”
At that, Ji Fuyi finally laughed out loud.
This resort was super modern—every path led to the beach. The store they came from was only separated by a greenbelt. Yu Wei saying she was afraid of getting lost… really wasn’t a convincing excuse.
Seeing her like that, Yu Wei simply stopped talking, grabbed Ji Fuyi by the wrist, and marched toward the beach again. Her posture looked tough, but her steps were small and careful, as if worried Ji Fuyi wouldn’t keep up.
Ji Fuyi’s face was full of smiles, a sweetness spreading through her heart.
This part of the beach was private to the hotel and not crowded.
Most people lounged under umbrellas, sunbathing. A group of lively girls were playing beach volleyball. Around the umbrellas, children were scattered in small groups playing in the sand.
Yu Wei sat down under their umbrella, asked the staff to remove the lounge chair, and happily began playing in the sand.
Ji Fuyi remained in her beach chair, sipping lemon water and watching Yu Wei skillfully dump out the toys and use a little shovel to scoop sand.
As she drank, Ji Fuyi raised her phone and snapped a photo.
A few seconds later, her WeChat Moments showed a new post:
“Little kid playing in the sand.”

Yu Wei, of course, had no idea about this.
She was happily building sand shapes with her shovel, forming various pieces with molds and placing them carefully on her castle. Within ten minutes, the castle had taken shape.
She gently set a roof piece on top and turned her face to Ji Fuyi with a smile.
“It’s already coming together.”
Ji Fuyi’s heart fluttered at her pure, innocent expression.
“Mm, it’s beautiful.”
As she spoke, she crooked her finger.
“Come here.”
“What for…”
Yu Wei reluctantly set down her toys, brushed the sand off her hands, and walked over.
“I still want to—mmph…”
Before she could finish, Ji Fuyi pressed a kiss to her lips.
Her lips met Yu Wei’s softly. Yu Wei stared wide-eyed at her, noticing a glint in Ji Fuyi’s eyes—mischievous, but also full of emotion.
Then Yu Wei suddenly remembered what Ji Fuyi once said—“You should close your eyes when kissing.”
So she did.
But just as she closed them, the feeling disappeared.
Ji Fuyi’s teasing voice came by her ear:
“What, want another kiss from jiejie?”
“Who said that!”
Yu Wei opened her eyes and, pouting, pecked Ji Fuyi’s lips in return.
“I can kiss you too, jiejie.”
With that, she turned and trotted back to her sandcastle, grabbing her shovel and gently shaping the edges.
Without looking at her, Yu Wei asked casually:
“Just now, did you feel like you really liked me?”
“Yeah.”
Ji Fuyi answered plainly, with no sugary tone, but that cool, straightforward response hit Yu Wei like a switch flipping in her heart—she felt like she liked Ji Fuyi even more in that moment.
Ji Fuyi met her gaze and smiled.
“What? I can’t?”
“You can.”
Yu Wei gave a dignified little nod, placed a decorative piece onto the castle, and checked to make sure it was in the right spot.
“I’m really happy.”
Her voice lifted on the last word, and she looked up at Ji Fuyi with a bright smile.
Ji Fuyi stared into her sparkling eyes and felt her heart race.
After finishing her drink, Ji Fuyi set the cup aside, got up, and sat across from Yu Wei to admire the castle.
“It’s really pretty.”
After watching for a moment, Ji Fuyi sincerely praised it.
“Is it?” Yu Wei said nonchalantly. “Then, it’s yours.”
“Okay—but how am I supposed to bring it back?”
Ji Fuyi sounded serious, frowning slightly at the sandcastle.
Yu Wei handed her phone to her, signaling for her to take a photo.
“You can only take it back in your heart.”
“I see…” Ji Fuyi obediently snapped a few photos, but there was still a hint of disappointment in her voice.
“It’s such a beautiful castle, but it’s made of sand. I can’t keep it.”
Not only couldn’t she keep it—in the evening, when the tide rolled in, the whole beach would be submerged. The castle would collapse under the waves, vanish without a trace.
Thinking of that made Ji Fuyi a little wistful.
Seeing her expression, Yu Wei’s thoughts grew clearer. She wanted nothing more than to act on them immediately and give Ji Fuyi whatever she wanted.
She took Ji Fuyi’s hand and placed it over her heart, saying:
“It’s in my heart too.”
Ji Fuyi froze slightly at the gesture, letting Yu Wei press her hand to her chest, feeling her heartbeat.
Yu Wei noticed a faint blush creeping up the side of Ji Fuyi’s neck and couldn’t help but ask:
“What’s wrong?”
Her thoughts were still pure—just a symbolic gesture. All Ji Fuyi saw was a fleeting sandcastle, so why was she blushing?
Yu Wei looked puzzled, only to see Ji Fuyi lower her head shyly.
Her own heart began to pound.
In all their time together, Ji Fuyi had only shown this shy expression a handful of times—each one making Yu Wei fall harder.
Ji Fuyi curled her fingers slightly, still in Yu Wei’s grasp, and after seeing Yu Wei’s confused look, finally mumbled softly:
“I just thought… it felt really soft.”
Yu Wei: “…?”
She froze.
What felt soft?
What could be so soft it made Ji Fuyi act like this? That expression was way too suspicious!
Yu Wei’s brain made a few turns—and finally landed on where she was pressing Ji Fuyi’s hand.
Uh…
Was something… not quite right here?
Yu Wei suddenly released Ji Fuyi’s hand and shouted:
“That’s not what I meant!”
“Hm?” Ji Fuyi tilted her head with a confused look.
“What did you mean?”
“I just… I didn’t…”
Yu Wei stumbled over her words. How was she supposed to say it? “I meant for you to feel my sincerity, not my… chest?”
“I just…”
She fumbled a while longer before finally leaning in close, whispering in Ji Fuyi’s ear:
“I didn’t mean for you to feel my chest…”
“Oh…”
Ji Fuyi looked like she kind of understood, her expression perfectly toeing the line between innocence and knowing.
“But it was really soft.”
Her tone was so childlike and pure, as if she were describing a stuffed toy or a pillow.
Staring into Ji Fuyi’s clear, innocent eyes, Yu Wei’s brain short-circuited. A rush of emotions overwhelmed her, and she wanted to crawl into a hole.
Ji Fuyi couldn’t help it anymore—she burst into laughter.
The moment she did, Yu Wei knew she’d been played! That whole innocent act was completely fake!
Yu Wei flared up like a ruffled little lion cub.
“You’re too good at acting! Why aren’t you winning best actress awards?!”
At that, Ji Fuyi really did pause for a second, then tilted her head and said:
“But… I am the Best Actress.”
Yu Wei: “…?”
How am I supposed to respond to that?!
“You’re such a meanie, sis.”
She muttered with half-real, half-fake frustration, then pulled Ji Fuyi into a hug and buried her face in her neck, gently nuzzling.
On the beach, both of them were dressed lightly.
The movement was subtle, but it made the kiss marks on Ji Fuyi’s neck feel like they were heating up.
Just as Ji Fuyi was about to say something, she heard Yu Wei chuckle softly and whisper:
“You’re soft too.”
