- Episode 1 - Dr. Paron's side
“Dr. Paron, please hurry to the Osbornes’ house.”
An urgent magical delivery burst into my room.
What happened?
With my assistant in tow, I hurriedly made my way to the Earl of Osborn’s residence.
When I arrived at the mansion, it was bustling inside.
“What on earth happened?”
When I hurriedly asked the butler who came out to the entrance hall, he said that the eldest daughter of the Count’s family, Lady Yuria, suddenly started screaming as if she had gone mad and was trembling, showing an unusual state.
What could this mean?
Yuria, who had just turned three, suddenly? I hurried to Yuria’s room while wondering.
When I arrived, Yuria-sama was unconscious.
“Teacher, is Yuria okay?”
The count and countess who ask out of concern.
I asked Lady Yuria’s maid about the situation. She said that she came to wake her up in the morning as usual, but after checking her body and looking in the mirror, she suddenly started screaming.
When I peered into Lady Yuria’s eyes as she slept, it seemed she had woken up.
While awake and calm, I examine my body with my hands, but there doesn’t seem to be any particular problem.
And as soon as I called out, she began to scream in terror as if she had remembered something.
At this rate, she might even lose control of her magic, so I decided to forcibly put her to sleep.
“Professor Paron, Yu, Yuria…”
“There are no abnormalities in the body. However, is there something from the past? After a momentary expression as if recalling something, they began to get agitated.”
“That’s something we don’t understand either. They suddenly started shouting.”
From the couple’s demeanor, it doesn’t seem like they are being abused.
However, it is utterly incomprehensible for a young child to cry and scream like this.
Something might be putting an enormous strain on my mind.
“Your Excellency, I will take my leave for today. I will look into whether similar symptoms have appeared in the past.”
I had no choice but to say that.
This symptom closely resembles those seen in women sheltered in the monastery, but a well-cared-for three-year-old child would never have such an experience.
The mystery only deepens.
