I Would Like To Live A Different Life If I Could Go Back In Time - Episode 10
“Miss Yuria, are you alright?”
As I got into the carriage, I trembled uncontrollably, as if the thread of my tension had snapped.
“It’s okay, it’s okay, Eme. I’m fine now.”
The lid on my memories was slightly opening, but I conveyed that to Eme while reassuring myself. I was tightly held by Eme, but after a while, the trembling stopped, and I returned to my original self.
“Sorry for making you worry. I’m fine now, okay? It’s all in the past, and I won’t cry and scream like I did when I was little.”
Eme held my hand in worry until we arrived at the mansion.
“Father, Mother, I will be going now. Thank you for arranging a tutor for me.”
“Ah. He was praising Yuria. Do your best at the academy too.”
“Yuria, make sure to study hard so you don’t bring shame to the Count’s family.”
“Yes, Mother. I will take my leave now.”
I returned to the Count’s residence six months before the academy started and continued my studies, but unfortunately, I couldn’t bridge the gap with my family very much.
I think we got along fairly well last time.
When I was put in prison, they abandoned me without a second thought.
I realized that I was the only one who thought our family was close.
I feel a bit sad thinking that I’ve been abandoned again this time because of my illness, but this is reality, isn’t it?
In the end, they only thought about themselves, and I was considered just one of their tools.
It seems that the academy dormitory prepared by my father will be a single room without a maid.
Since I had been spending time in the territory, I could manage on my own to some extent, so it was fine. I boarded the carriage with my not-so-heavy luggage.
“Eme, today is the last day, right?”
“Yes, that’s right. But please don’t be sad. There is Dr. Paron’s clinic near the academy. Our inn with Graham is just three houses down, so you can come right away.”
“Really? I want to go right away. I might end up helping out every week.”
“Hehe. So, there’s no need to be sad. We’re always here for you. Now, we’ve arrived at the dormitory. Let’s unload your luggage.”
And then, together with Eme, I carried the luggage into the room and unpacked it. But there wasn’t even enough to really call it unpacking.
It seems that the room is equipped with a bedroom, a room with a desk, a toilet, and a shower.
It might be hard to say that this is a room exclusively for nobles.
Nobles commute from their townhouses, so they don’t stay in the dorms. I found out later, but the dorm rooms have different grades, and mine apparently has the highest grade.
My father probably did it with consideration for appearances.
Even commoners without money are placed in four-person rooms. They apparently have three meals a day in the cafeteria. Of course, there are also people who shop in the city and eat in their rooms.
In the room, all the textbooks and other materials for the academy were placed on the desk. It seems there’s no need to buy anything additional.
Eme said, “I’m going home,” and left without hesitation.
It felt a bit lonely because it was too simple and straightforward.
I started to feel okay thinking that I could go see you on the weekend.
