- Episode 17 - Yorland’s Side
My name is Yorland Guimere.
I am serving as Prince Randolph’s aide. I have been a friend and subordinate of Prince Randolph since childhood.
When we were still young, the three of us would play tag and spend the whole day having fun. We were close friends with both Mark and Randolph. When Randolph started his studies, our education as attendants also began.
Mark is training in swordsmanship and studying to become Randolph’s aide as a knight, while I am doing the same as a civil official.
And after entering the academy, the Marquis Odilon Joux and the Viscount Doni Luron were newly added as aides.
I don’t mean to brag, but I have excellent aides firmly surrounding Prince Randolph.
Gently ward off the young ladies trying to approach His Highness Randolph, and ensure that a respectful distance is maintained between them and His Highness.
In a word, Prince Randolph’s personality is gentle. When he smiles with his kind face, the young ladies become captivated by him.
It has always been like that.
When I was little, I often played with the other girls at tea parties, but one day, I suddenly stopped playing with them altogether.
The only ones always by his side are Mark and me. I found it strange, but lately, he has been spending more time in a daze. He responds when spoken to, and he isn’t slacking off in his studies either.
She shows a distant look in her eyes, as if her soul has been taken away, unable to focus on anything.
It made us very anxious.
There were times when the ups and downs of my emotions felt so faint that I thought they might just scatter away.
And when he turned seven, it was planned that he would choose a fiancée, but he still didn’t want one, so no fiancée was chosen at the tea party.
His Majesty and the Queen were very worried, but they forgave him because he is still young. The reason he is forgiven is not just because of his youth.
The reason is also that Her Highness the Queen is busy taking care of His Highness the Second Prince, whom she has just given birth to.
But, Your Highness, you are very wise.
I don’t know how to explain it, but sometimes I feel like you’re many times older than me.
Both Mark and I were desperate to chase after His Highness. Thanks to that, our reputation among those around us has greatly improved.
At one point, the queen, seemingly fed up with the prince showing not the slightest interest in the young lady, secretly chose a candidate for his fiancée.
It is the four young ladies: Vera Venegict, Clara Brensto, Colleen Rain, and Amelia Heisen.
They are young ladies who have been privately approached by the queen as potential fiancées. They themselves are desperately trying to be chosen as fiancées.
Everyone, including His Highness Randolph, has started their life in Class S.
Around them, everything seems peaceful at first glance, but the competition beneath the surface to get close to Prince Randolph is intensifying day by day.
Even Mark is at a loss with this.
It’s only natural for us to loiter in the student council room to avoid the young ladies.
Amidst all this, I suddenly felt a sense of discomfort with Prince Randolph’s gestures.
At first, I thought it was just my imagination, but it turns out that the discomfort was not just my imagination.
His Highness is clearly following a young lady with his eyes.
Yes, her name is Lady Yuria Osbourne. She is quite the mystery. If she were a noble lady, she would have attended at least one tea party by now, but I have never seen her.
The woman His Highness is concerned about.
We must conduct a thorough investigation.
I asked the intelligence department to investigate her. I was surprised by the results of the investigation.
