“Captain and Ricott haven’t come back!”

However, something was off. Their indicators were moving slightly but not significantly. If they were heading back to Granzawall, there should be much more movement.

“…Could they be injured and unable to move?”

“W-We need to send a rescue team immediately—”

“Calm down, Glenn. It’s already nighttime, and visibility is poor. Sending a rescue team now will only lead to more casualties. The chances of saving them are too low,” 

Alicia said, silencing Glenn, who ground his teeth in frustration.

“Alicia, do you know when the monster attack is expected?”

“The report came this morning. So if things go as usual, probably by tomorrow evening.”

“Then we should prepare to dispatch the rescue team by tomorrow morning. We’ll also request help from the adventurers, right?”

“Well, he’s not among the soldiers.”
