Even though the conversation derailed a bit because of me, things generally proceeded without major issues.

As for Gimlet’s punishment, he was dismissed from his position as a soldier and exiled from Granzawall.

It seemed like a light punishment to me. Apparently, Ryan-san was fine with that decision. Since the one who was almost killed by him was okay with it, I couldn’t really complain.

Vil-san apparently raised a lot of objections. But Ryan-san said it was only natural for Gimlet to hold a grudge, as Ryan-san had taken away his chances of advancement.

Another topic, one that was more important to me, progressed as well.

“If we can borrow Haruka-sama’s power, we will assist in setting up signs where people from another world are likely to transfer.”

“R-Really!?”

This means that while it’s not a guaranteed solution, we might be able to save our classmates or other otherworlders who might transfer here in the future.

“However, Maki-sama’s level must be raised as a priority. Either Ricott or I will help whenever we’re free.”

As for the fruit that temporarily boosts abilities, it was decided to keep it secret. So it won’t be mentioned on the signs. 

Instead, we’ll write that there is help and other otherworlders nearby. It should encourage them to fight for survival rather than giving up.

If we can notice the sounds of battle from around Granzawall, we can rush to their aid.

Of course, there’s a huge element of luck involved. And I don’t think we can save every single otherworlder who transfers here.

But for now, we can only help those we’re able to.

“If only we could clear a path through the Demon Forest to the transfer location…”

It’s an impossible idea. But if we could, magical beasts wouldn’t be rampant at the transfer sites. We could even build small settlements where we could explain the situation and protect new arrivals.

Alicia’s intense pleading left me no choice. Since I’d already brought it up, I couldn’t back down now. So, I decided to go ahead and Appraise it.
