The next day, His Majesty and the others bombarded me with questions about the materials for the bedding. But when they eventually told me that they had overslept because the bed was too comfortable, I laughed.

Initially, they had planned to stay for only three days. But it seemed that not only His Majesty, but many others had fallen in love with the Onsen District. As a result, the stay was extended to a week without any prior notice.

Some people had to return due to work, but they were eager to come back. And many approached me, asking if they could purchase teleportation tools. Each time, Dietrich-sama intervened, so nothing came of it. But I couldn’t help but feel it would be troublesome when we all returned together.

…….Well, when that time comes, I can just send them off and quickly return, right?

So, it seemed that His Majesty and the others had enjoyed their time in the Onsen District for the first three days. But that wasn’t the only purpose of their visit.

“Your Majesty, Dietrich-sama, Knight Commander. Thank you for waiting.”

On the third night, which was supposed to be the final day, I used Moriya’s teleportation magic to transfer to His Majesty’s room. From there, we teleported to the meeting place for a confidential discussion.

“Alright, here we go!”  

Moriya’s voice was carefree as ever. It echoed through the room. The next moment, we had teleported to a different room where Alicia and the others were waiting.

“…….My, teleportation magic really is convenient.”  

“Welcome, Your Majesty.”  

As soon as we arrived, Alicia greeted us.

“Now then, let’s begin—let’s talk about the effective use of the Forest of Demons.”

This was the second reason we brought His Majesty and the others to the Onsen District. Although we had sent numerous reports via the Mail Bird, it was faster and more informative for them to experience it firsthand.

Having seen and felt it for themselves, they should now realize that this place is crucial and will be key for future development.

I had been hoping for a discussion based on that understanding.

“…….Your Majesty? I’d appreciate it if you could put your thoughts on the drinks aside for now.  So, can we move forward with the discussion?”  

I had hoped they would wait until after the appetizers were served. But it seemed that the drinks also had the same effect.

Hmm? I couldn’t help but notice that not only Alicia, but everyone from the Granzwall group, was staring at me. What was going on?

I’m relieved it didn’t turn into a case of lèse-majesté.  

While I was thinking that, Alicia had already started her explanation. She spread out a large map and began explaining the progress of the Forest of Demons development. She mentioned the post town and the Onsen District where soldiers and adventurers were stationed.

Dietrich-sama and the Knight Commander had visited the post town during the war. But His Majesty had used teleportation magic to come directly from the castle to the Onsen District. Therefore, he had not seen it. However, after receiving reports and actually visiting the Onsen District, it seemed that His Majesty did not doubt Alicia’s words when she said people could live in the Forest of Demons.

“However, at present, to reach the Onsen District, one must either use the teleportation circle in the post town or venture through the harsh lightning storm area. We need to either eliminate the lightning storm area or find another safe route to reach the Onsen District.”

“That is true. Well, if it were me, I’d pay to use the teleportation circle for a safe trip.”

“Your Majesty, I couldn’t possibly accept payment.”
