“…N-No way. Akagi-san… that can’t be true.”  

Sensei muttered in disbelief, and silence lingered for a while.  

From my perspective, I had imagined a future where Akagi, once a delinquent, might kill someone.  

However, seeing her level, it was obvious she had killed a significant number of people.  

Even I hadn’t predicted she would go this far.  

I could Appraise her to find out exactly how many people she had killed, but I decided against it.  

Knowing that would only make me feel worse.  

“…Let me ask again, people from another world.”  

The king spoke in a solemn tone.  

From his demeanor, it was clear to everyone that he was speaking as the ruler of a nation.  

All eyes turned toward him, awaiting his next words.  

“The current enemy is one of your own—a compatriot. And, without a doubt, it will come to a fight to the death.”  

“—! …..!”  

Sensei seemed ready to object to the king’s words. But she must have understood the situation.  

Though her face showed anger, she kept her mouth shut.  

Noticing this, His Majesty nodded slightly and continued.  

“……If you do not wish to engage in a deadly battle with your compatriot, we can face them in your stead. We owe you that much for everything you’ve done for us.”  

“The stronger the opponent, the stronger I become! Even if the enemy is a level 75 powerhouse, I have no intention of losing!”  

“I will assist as well. A special-class combat profession like me can’t just sit back and watch.”  

The Knight Commander and Dietrich-sama declared this boldly.  

But…  

I already knew this wasn’t the kind of situation where we could simply leave it to them.  

“…No, that won’t do! I will stop Akagi-san myself!”  

“…..Haruka. You do realize that you might end up being killed, don’t you?”  

“Even so, it doesn’t matter! If my student is at risk of being killed, it’s absolutely unacceptable for me, as her teacher, to just stand by and watch!”  

Sensei had said something similar before, even when declaring war against the Shriden Kingdom.  

To her, Akagi was just another one of her students, delinquent or not.  

Still, letting Sensei face Akagi alone isn’t an option.  

“Sensei, you can’t.”  

“Why not, Mihiro-kun?”  

“Because you’re planning to die, aren’t you?”  

“If it means saving Akagi-san, I’d gladly—”  

“Do our feelings mean nothing to you?”  

“…Huh?”  

At first, Sensei was just an unfortunate teacher caught up in all this.  

Now, she’s someone who has helped us, someone we can’t afford to lose.  

More than anything, I can’t bear the thought of Sensei dying.  

And besides—  

“I feel the same, Sensei!”  

“Of course, I do too!”  

“We don’t want you to die, Sensei.”  

“If you care about your students the most, then you should understand our feelings too, right?”  

Madoka, Yuria, and Arata voiced their thoughts, and I followed up with my own.  

“Just as you want to protect Akagi, we want to protect you, Sensei. Is that a feeling you can simply ignore?”  

“Of course not! But even so, I…..”  

“Hey, Sensei. Why are you only thinking about fighting Akagi?”  

“…What?”  

The idea that one of them has to die if they clash is fundamentally wrong.  

Come to think of it, Sensei said the same thing at the start of the war, didn’t she?  

“We’re not here to kill. The goal is to neutralize Akagi, isn’t it?”  

“Do you really think that’s possible against someone at level 75?”  

“I can’t do it alone…….But that’s right, not alone.”  

After saying that, I looked at Sensei, then glanced at Madoka and the others.  

“If we all work together, we can neutralize Akagi. It won’t be easy, but we’ll do it. Now, who’s willing to help capture Akagi for Sensei’s sake?”  

“I’ll do my best!”  

“Of course!”  

“Helping a friend—that’s all there is to it, right?”  

I heard Madoka and the others’ responses.  

Now, all that’s left is Sensei’s answer.  

“What do you say, Sensei? Will you join us in giving Akagi a lesson she won’t forget?”  

“……But what if you all get hurt?”  

“That’s nothing new, is it?”  

Tears welled up in Sensei’s eyes, and one streamed down her cheek.  

“…..Thank you, Mihiro-kun. Thank you, everyone.”  

“Your Majesty, is this acceptable?”  

“Of course. Shall we send reinforcements as well?”  

“No, thank you. This is our issue. We should resolve it ourselves.”  

“I understand. But don’t push yourselves too hard.”  

“Naturally. After all, I haven’t fully enjoyed this world yet.”  

And so, we prepared to face Akagi.
