I'm Being Threatened by My Sister's Ex-girlfriend. (GL) - Chapter 30
And so, we touched each other’s bodies.
The first time we did it, we went right up until the very last minute, and as a result, I ended up performing an acrobatic escape from the second-floor window, sliding down the roof and the stone fence of the Whitehead residence. I didn’t even twist an ankle, so I might have discovered some parkour talent.
However, the journey back was nothing short of hellish. My n1pples burned, there was a dull pain between my legs, my throat was raw, I was dehydrated, and I felt completely exhausted, as if I had just recovered from an illness. The moment I got back to my apartment, I dove straight into bed and passed out instantly.
In my dreams, I saw Hakobe, and honestly, I just wanted her to leave me alone, at least for now. That bright, youthful energy scared me. It’s only a two-year difference, but still.
The end of summer arrived abruptly.
One day, the shimmering heat haze that had been rising from the asphalt vanished, and the sound of cicadas disappeared from the streets. Then, I started to hesitate before stepping out in a short-sleeved T-shirt to head to the convenience store, as the crisp, clear autumn began.
“Tsuguno-san, do you like fish?”
“The stars of aquariums aren’t really fish, are they? I think it’s dolphins or penguins.”
“Then, do you like dolphins or penguins?”
“To some extent.”
And so, our relationship became official. If you ask what changed, well… something did, but it was hard to say exactly what. Maybe I’m just getting old. In any case, I was being tossed around by that exposed, raw youth.
When we got off the bus in front of the aquarium, the early-blooming cherry blossoms had already turned their leaves red.
By spring, they’d probably bloom into beautiful pink flowers.
Hakobe skipped ahead and then spun around.
Her hair bounced lightly as she moved.
Even her inner hair color had turned with the fall leaves.
From deep indigo blue to blazing vermilion.
“Tsuguno-san, what’s the plan for today?”
“We’ll go around the aquarium, have seafood curry at the restaurant inside, look at souvenirs, and head home.”
“We’ll have extra time, won’t we?”
“Yeah…”
“Then, the hotel.”
“I don’t have the money for that.”
“You did stop streaming, didn’t you?”
Right. “Nextï¼ ” was retired. The retirement stream had gathered quite an audience, and I used the donation money to buy a new fridge and bed.
That warm, comfortable space had been nice, but now, it felt unnecessary.
Right now, my place was here.
Maybe if things get tough again, I’ll escape back to that space, but for now, I was here.
“Then, let’s go to your place, Tsuguno-san.”
“…Mm.”
It was a heated moment. Hakobe grabbed my arm, pressing her body against mine as if to evoke something. The feeling of her body pressed against my upper arm, the familiar softness, almost made me lose myself in the sensation. I shook my head. It was still daytime, and we were outdoors.
“Ah, but… Actually, should we go to karaoke instead? I want to hear you sing again, Tsuguno-san.”
“As long as you don’t attack me in the private room, I’m fine with it.”
“What do you think of me, Tsuguno-san?”
“A hormonal monster in the midst of puberty.”
“Noo, that’s not it!”
She purred in a way that made it clear she was teasing, and as she nuzzled up against me, I grabbed her head and pulled her away before she could flip that weird switch. She made a strange cry, “Fugyaa!” and hopped back a few steps, her face as clear as the autumn sky.
“I just want to hear you sing, Tsuguno-san.”
“Oh, I see.”
“Are you embarrassed?”
“I’m not embarrassed.”
I looked up at the sky. Birds flew high against the blue expanse.
Karaoke wasn’t a bad idea.
Today, I was planning to sing my favorite songs.
