In My Second Life, I'll Do Everything To Win You Over—My Beloved Childhood Friend Will Never Be Given To Anyone Else - Episode 18
Today, I’m going to see a movie with Nagisa. Instead of meeting in front of the movie theater or the station, we’re meeting in front of Nagisa’s house.
Because it’s closer that way.
By the way, sometimes the meeting place is in front of my house.
Nagisa said, “That would be fair!” It’s not that far, and I don’t really care.
Check the time on my phone. Two minutes until the appointment. I could ring the intercom, but it doesn’t feel necessary.
I thought about sending a LINE message saying “I arrived,” but just then, Nagisa came out.
It’s not the usual uniform, of course, it’s casual clothes.
A light pink off-shoulder dress. It has a large bow at the chest and a thin belt under the bust.
The fluffy fabric is so cute. It’s like something out of a spring fairy tale.
“Good morning, Momoka.”
Saying that, Nagisa smiled brightly. Her lips were redder than when seen at school.
My eyelashes have more volume than usual, my hair is neatly curled inward, and my bangs are set with hairspray.
It’s Nagisa on a day when she’s really fired up.
“Good morning. I don’t think I’ve seen that dress before. Is it new?”
“Yeah, the one I bought for today.”
Saying it with pride, Nagisa smiled brightly.
“Because it’s a date, I put in a lot of effort.”
“Is this a date?”
When I asked, “Huh?” Nagisa tilted her head. Then she took out her smartphone and searched for “date definition.”
“Um, what is it?”
Curious, I also peek into Nagisa’s smartphone.
A date is when two people who are either lovers or have romantic feelings for each other decide on a date and place to meet.
The site Nagisa researched had that information.
“Wow. Momoka, did you know? If you don’t think you like both, it’s not a date.”
“I haven’t really thought about it much, but now that you mention it, it does seem true.”
I’ve gone out with Nagisa countless times.
I’ve always liked Nagisa, but I’m sure Nagisa feels differently.
So, Nagisa and I have never been on a date together.
“Well, for now, let’s go.”
Even though she was the one who started the conversation, Nagisa said that and walked away.

“Hey, I think if we’re going to match based on our hair length, it should be something like headbands or hairpins. What do you think?”
While looking at the hair accessories lined up on the shelf, Momoka asks.
Nodding, she picked up the white headband that was nearby.
“I think so too. A barrette would be fine, but… a headband might be the one that doesn’t come off easily. But there’s also a hachimaki, so it might be in the way.”
The length of my hair is quite different from Nagisa’s. Since Nagisa’s hair isn’t long enough to tie up, using hair ties is difficult.
“What color should we choose? Should we go with red to match the cheerleading squad?”
Touka and I are in the red team. We also wear red headbands.
Considering the overall balance, choosing the red item would be the best option.
“That’s fine, but it seems like it might overlap with what others are doing.”
When I said that, Nagisa immediately shook her head.
“I absolutely refuse. I want something that anyone can see and know that Momoka and I are matching.”
Nagisa stares at me intently. Suppressing the urge to grin, I respond with “Yeah” and nod.
“I think that’s better for me too.”
Because I want to show everyone our relationship.
