In this Second Chance at Life, where I can see skills as clear as day, everything feels like a breeze. And to make it even better, I’m spending my days joyfully with my First Love. - Chapter 15
After conquering the dungeon and returning to the entrance, I noticed the sky was still dark. Clearing the dungeon hadn’t taken much time, and I felt a satisfying sense of accomplishment.
The rewards mentioned by the mechanical voice—titles and boosted base stats—lingered in my mind, making me curious.
Let’s check my current stats:

When I saw my stats, I couldn’t help but gape in disbelief.
HP: 1.5 billion!? Sure, it’s not as insane as my 6.6 billion magic power, but even so… I’ve grown so used to my ridiculous magic stats that they don’t faze me anymore.
But 1.5 billion HP? That must be because my [Boost] skills maxed out and stacked, multiplying the effect exponentially.
And wait… isn’t there an extra [Automatic Health Recovery] in my list of skills?
So, if [Automatic Health Recovery] restores 1% HP per second, and I have two of them, that means I recover 30 million HP per second. What even is this? It’s absurd beyond reason.
Even 27 million strength and 23 million agility are incredible, but they look small compared to my sky-high HP and magic stats. I think my sense of perspective is broken at this point—considering a normal human’s HP doesn’t even exceed 100.
To put it into context, my strength stat alone is 300 times higher than the Nightmare Knight’s. At this rate, I could probably blow it away with a single sneeze.
Using [Super Calculation], I reverse-engineered my unboosted base stats: HP, Strength, and Agility are all 6,550, while Magic is 13,320.
These numbers feel incomprehensible now, but 6,550 isn’t far off from my pre-dungeon stats. And now they’ve grown to 27 million? How is this even possible?
With stats this absurdly high, one potential problem came to mind—controlling all this power. However, I decided to shelve that thought for now and focus on checking my new titles using [Appraisal].
[Ravager]: A title awarded to those who have completely overwhelmed and annihilated enemies with far weaker stats.
-
- Effect: Seals all skills below level 10 of any enemy hostile to the title holder. Additionally, halves all stats of enemies with lower stats than the title holder.
What… is this? It seals skills below level 10 and further weakens enemies that are already weaker than me? This title is ridiculously specialized for bullying weaker opponents.
Still, there’s no drawback. And for someone like me, with insanely high stats, it’s a perfect fit.
That said, I couldn’t help but feel like the mechanical voice was mocking me.
The other title was:
[Brute Force of Numbers]: A title awarded to those who defeat an Extra Boss purely through overwhelming stats.
-
- Effect: Multiplies all stats of the title holder and their allies by 5.
Another absurd skill.
Not only does it multiply all my stats, but it also boosts the stats of my allies. And it has no activation conditions. It’s simple, yet incredibly powerful.
The phrase “defeated the Extra Boss purely through overwhelming stats” feels a bit pointed, but there’s no denying how effective this title is in amplifying my already outrageous stats.
Finally, I turned my attention to my new skill:
[Super Regeneration]: This skill replaced [Super Recovery] after it maxed out.
-
- Effect: Unlike [Super Recovery], which healed and strengthened the user through eating, [Super Regeneration] accomplishes the same through magic.
Apparently, this skill allows magic to penetrate and strengthen muscle fibers, making them tougher. It retains the ability to heal and grow stronger.
Although the skill is still at a low level, with my magic stats being so high, it’s bound to be incredibly useful in the future.
Honestly, what am I going to do with all this power?
Still, this is my hobby—I can’t just stop.
Next, I checked my [Experience Boost] skill. Apparently, for every level it increases, I gain 10% more experience points. With one at Lv. 17 and another at Lv. 25, the effects stack, giving me 4.25 times the normal experience gain rate.
Even so, after fighting that Lv. 75 Nightmare Knight, I’d only leveled up to 45. At 4.25 times the normal rate, leveling up feels surprisingly slow.
But then I remembered—the majority of my levels came from the reward for defeating the Extra Boss. The actual multiplier during the fights was likely closer to 1.2x.
Considering the weaker monsters on the lower floors were around Lv. 30, it made sense. I could accept the slow leveling pace.
With my curiosity about titles and skills satisfied, I turned my attention back to my ridiculously inflated stats. Compared to just a few hours ago, they’d increased nearly ten thousandfold. That’s when the harsh reality hit me.
“(I… I can’t move.)”
What lay before me was the crumbling remains of what used to be the dungeon.
Whether it was because I cleared the dungeon or because my absurd stats caused destruction just by walking, the outcome was the same. Probably both. As I made my way back, it felt like walking on wafer crackers—the ground crumbled beneath me.
Still, this overwhelming power isn’t entirely uncontrollable.
Even before entering the dungeon, my 6,500 stats were already 100 times higher than my father’s. That’s extremely high, yet I rarely broke doors or fell through floors.
The reason? I’ve always used magic to regulate my stats.
By applying pressure to my strength and adding resistance to my agility, I’ve essentially bound my power with magical restraints. In practice, I use [Magic Manipulation] to wrap my body in hardened magic, creating a semi-automatic counterforce to limit my strength and speed.
The beauty of this method is that no matter how high my stats climb, as long as I have magic, I can still adjust the resistance for effective training.
In other words, even with these ridiculous numbers, I can make something as simple as 100 push-ups feel tiring again.
Scaling up my restraints by 4,000 times was a daunting task, but… I did it!
Now I have enough magic power to knock out the entire northern hemisphere with [Magic Intimidation] if I went to the Arctic, but I compressed that excess magic using [Magic Manipulation].
Afterward, I sealed the compressed magic in my [Item Box], which had leveled up to Lv. 12.
At Lv. 12, the [Item Box] holds 1.2 times my total magic power. Although the magic itself isn’t sealed and my total capacity remains unchanged, my excess magic—which had previously spread across the entire world—is now confined to the [Item Box].
Come to think of it, I have no idea what kind of effect magic has on the human body. It’s even possible that the dungeon that appeared at the epicenter of the Chūetsu Earthquake might have been partially caused by my overflowing magic.
Regardless of the cause, it was clear that my overflowing magic needed to be dealt with.
Recognizing the usefulness of the [Item Box] skill, I felt relieved that I’d found a way to manage my overblown stats—at least to some extent.
As I pondered all this, I noticed the sky growing slightly brighter.
If I wasn’t home when everyone woke up, my parents and grandparents would definitely worry.
With a bit of belated consideration for their feelings, I—someone who secretly saved the world—started my journey back to my grandparents’ house.
