- Chapter 26 - There Was a Dungeon in My House
Level 105.
Its stats were far weaker than an Undead Dragoon. But even so, a monster like this—a goblin—had enough strength to potentially kill thousands of ordinary people. And one of these goblins was sitting in my room, inside the closet.
For now, I used Magic Power Suppression to make it faint. Then, to avoid dirtying the room, I encased it in a sphere of magic and crushed it. I’d think about what to do next afterward.
Now, should I call Ichika-chan or not?
The reasons for calling her are mainly twofold: sharing the experience points gained from the dungeon and splitting the rewards from conquering it. If Ichika-chan’s stats increased, it would provide peace of mind in various ways. Besides, clearing the dungeon together would be more fun.
However, there were also two reasons not to call her.
First, now that I’ve discovered this dungeon, I can’t take my eyes off it for even a second. If even one goblin escaped, it wouldn’t just destroy my house—it could literally wipe out my entire hometown.
While I could mitigate this issue by calling her on the phone, the bigger problem lay elsewhere.
“After what just happened, it’s hard to call her over!”
Saying, “A dungeon appeared, come to my house!” sounds way too suggestive. After what happened earlier, my mind is all over the place, and I honestly don’t trust myself to stay rational when facing Ichika-chan. I’d probably end up losing control.
Or maybe… Ichika-chan would even accept that? A hopeful thought, but no matter what, doing something like that at 13 is definitely not okay.
Waiting a day to call her wasn’t a great option either, as I couldn’t justify leaving the dungeon unattended for even one night.
Keeping watch the whole time would be exhausting. So, I decided to clear out the mobs up to just before the boss room. That way, I could tackle the boss with Ichika-chan tomorrow, and at least we’d be able to share the boss rewards.
With that plan in mind, I stepped into the closet.
Inside, as expected, the space opened into a massive hole—a vast cave-like space stretched out before me. Lit by something like glowing moss, the area was teeming with countless monsters.
The stench was much worse than the dungeons I’d encountered before—something like a mix of beast and decay. I immediately used magic to form a barrier around myself.
[Goblin] [Hobgoblin] [Goblin Lord] [Goblin King]
The Goblin King alone was level 170, with stats that were easily over five times those of a regular goblin. There were about 30 Goblin Kings here. Including the lesser mobs, there were easily over 10,000 goblins on this floor.
I unleashed my magic across the entire floor and applied Suppression.
Even the Goblin Kings didn’t have Complete Mental Resistance, and since goblins generally have low magic resistance, they fainted almost instantly. Afterward, I used magic to crush them.
The goblin horde dissolved into particles of light, leaving behind magic stones, swords, spears, clothing, and other equipment.
I collected all the items using magic and stored them in my inventory box.
◇
The dungeon that had appeared in my house was larger, had more floors, and stronger enemies than any dungeon that had previously emerged near the epicenter in Niigata.
I descended to the 10th and then the 20th floor. The enemy levels increased rapidly, climbing to 200, then 300.
Levels Go Beyond 99?
I thought about it with the goblins earlier, but it seems levels aren’t capped at 99 after all.
For someone from the Dragon Quest generation, it’s easy to assume 99 is the limit.
Well, once stats exceed 255, it’s not hard to imagine that such settings don’t hold up.
Before I realized it, I had already made my way down to the 30th floor.
No matter how strong the enemies are, Magic Power Suppression and Physical Strength Suppression make most of them faint. Even if they don’t, I can crush entire floors with my magic, instantly killing all enemies.
No matter how vast and deep the dungeon is, with my agility exceeding 7 billion, it doesn’t even take a second to move to the next floor.
It probably took me about 30 minutes to reach the 30th floor.
Oddly enough, collecting items seemed to take the most time.
Along the way, I encountered not only goblins, wolves, and undead but also dragon-like and demon-like creatures. Their high levels appeared to influence the quality of the loot, allowing me to acquire a variety of weapons—swords, spears, and even chain scythes—and armor, including cloaks, armor, and swimsuits.
For someone like me, with ridiculously high base stats, weapons and armor are unnecessary luxuries.
In fact, since the existence of dungeons isn’t public knowledge in this world, I can’t even sell them. They’re just taking up space in my inventory box.
And so, I arrived at the 30th floor.
In the middle of the vast, open room lay a single golden dragon, leisurely napping.
There was no door. Was it a mid-boss rather than the final boss?
However, its overwhelming presence and aura of intimidation were palpable. The tension in the air made it clear that this was no ordinary opponent.
I decided to appraise the dragon.

Title: Sub-God
An incomplete appraisal result. ??? placeholders and approximate values for the stats.
Even so, it was clear—the dragon’s stats were absurdly high.
Its numerous skills and complete resistances were overwhelming. On top of that, it could apparently use magic—wait, magic exists?
If this dragon were to get out, it would literally destroy the world.
To make things worse, its stats were higher than mine.
Naturally, suppression wouldn’t work on a stronger opponent, and even compressing all my magic to crush only the dragon didn’t work.
This was a first for me—a foe with higher stats.
A foe that couldn’t be killed with a magical press.
Even with my life in danger, my heart was trembling. I had grown too strong. Through countless hours of training and my unique skill, Repeat Trials, my growth was infinite. There was no limit to my power.
But that overwhelming strength, which no one else could match, had begun to bore me.
And yet… for the first time, I was facing an opponent stronger than me, and I couldn’t help but feel a rush of excitement.
