Two and a half years have passed since I enrolled in the vocational training school.

It’s also been two years since I started working part-time clearing dungeons.

Next month, Ichika and I will officially become high school students. In other words, we’re currently on spring break, having graduated from middle school. There was no entrance exam or choice involved; we were more or less automatically enrolled in the high school division of the vocational training school.

The high school I attended in my previous life wasn’t bad, and if dungeons didn’t exist, I probably would have gone there again. However, given the circumstances in this world, that wasn’t an option.

That said, this vocational training school isn’t so bad. I’ve even made what I can call a friend (well, one person), and I don’t dislike the exploration and clearing of new dungeons. With the constant stream of requests coming in, I can’t complain.

In just two years, my stats have grown over 100 times, even though I only leveled up once.

My magic power alone has reached 10 quintillion. With that amount, I might be able to crush not just Earth but the entire solar system with Magic Press.

…Though the solar system is vast, so maybe that’s a stretch. But if I fully utilized Magic Release and Efficiency Boost, it might just be possible.

Not that I have any intention of trying, so it’s a pointless thought.

Among my new skills, the most notable are Martial Arts and Combat.

After a year of daily grappling and sparring with my clones, I finally managed to acquire them.

Martial Arts enhances muscle efficiency, allowing me to move my body with incredible precision. On the other hand, Combat boosts the power of my strikes and reduces the damage I take when hit. Since I’ve only fought my clones so far, I haven’t really experienced the benefits of Combat yet.

Martial Arts, however, feels amazing. It lets me move so smoothly and efficiently—it’s an incredible skill. I can’t help but admire it.

Through daily sparring with my clones, I’ve not only leveled up Martial Arts and Combat but also unlocked some new skills. Among them is War God Transformation, a skill that halves my magic power to triple all other stats. Additionally, the constant coordination required to control my clones has increased the level of Parallel Thinking and led to the acquisition of Split Thinking, which creates thought processes independent of my conscious control, even at the subconscious level.

Essentially, Split Thinking makes it impossible to predict my opponent’s next move during sparring, creating an element of unpredictability and making our matches far more engaging.

Other developments include gaining Brain Expansion to manage multiple simultaneous thought processes and increasing the capacity of my Item Box through sheer frequent use.

At present, if I were to use my full magic power, I could theoretically create up to a billion clones. However, considering the limits of Parallel Thinking and my brain’s processing capacity, I can only effectively control about a thousand at once.

It’s an overwhelming amount of mental activity. Without Complete Mental Resistance, I might have become a broken shell of a person long ago. That skill is truly a lifesaver—not just essential for my survival but also for achieving my current level of strength.

Ichika has also grown remarkably stronger over the past two years.

While Ichika hasn’t gained many new skills, her stats have skyrocketed, particularly her HP, which now exceeds 621 quadrillion.

Even though her level is fixed at 999, her growth rate is extraordinary.

In fact, rather than focusing on leveling up, Ichika has been steadily training at home, acquiring and leveling enhancement skills. This strategy has made her remarkably strong. Her current defense surpasses mine by far.

She’s so durable that even a direct hit from a nuclear bomb wouldn’t leave a scratch. Knowing that reassures me greatly.

It’s now late March 2010.

If dungeon appearances are somehow triggered by earthquakes, such as the Chuetsu Earthquake, then something significant might happen exactly one year from now.

The Trial of the Gods announcement we heard two and a half years ago is still a major concern.

But with our current stats, I’m confident we can handle whatever comes our way.

And so, as Ichika and I prepare to enter high school, we look forward to facing whatever challenges lie ahead.
