In this Second Chance at Life, where I can see skills as clear as day, everything feels like a breeze. And to make it even better, I’m spending my days joyfully with my First Love. - Chapter 53
March 11, 2011, Friday. Around 2:30 PM.
I sat quietly in Sendai, Miyagi Prefecture, masking my presence.
With my stats fully unlocked, I spread an overwhelming, dense web of magic across the entire globe, searching for any signs of impending disaster.
If it turned out to be just an ordinary earthquake, I wouldn’t intervene.
I have no understanding of the mechanisms that cause earthquakes, nor do I have any means of stopping them.
But if the disaster was caused by dungeons or monsters, then I would destroy it with all my might.
That’s the purpose of the immense power I’ve cultivated in this life.
After several minutes of probing, I felt a distortion in magical energy offshore.
A foreboding sense of an overwhelming threat crept closer.
Then, BANG!
A deafening rupture echoed—whether it was the sound of magic or space itself tearing, I didn’t know.
The ground trembled. Vertically. It was an earthquake so powerful that an average person would struggle to stay standing.
“An earthquake! This one’s big! Take cover!”
As someone shouted, the blaring emergency alerts from mobile phones rang out across the area.
People screamed and ran for shelter.
But beyond the chaos, about 100 kilometers from Sendai, I sensed a sinister magical presence.
I focused my magic, retracting it to a radius of about 300 kilometers around myself.
In less than 0.1 seconds, I arrived at the source—a seething horde of monsters numbering well over 100,000.

Level 305?!
The stats seemed low for their level, but that’s due to their lack of amplifying skills. Compared to my own stats when I was level 305, theirs were exceedingly weak, particularly in magic and agility.
Still, their Berserker Transformation skill, which had given a certain someone in my past a headache, would surely boost their stats further.
But no matter how much their stats inflated—fivefold, tenfold—they were nothing more than ants before me, with my stats measured in the quadrillions.
The real issue was their sheer numbers. This Berserk Ogre horde alone had 50,000 individuals.
…Wait. If I remember correctly, the Berserker Transformation skill renders their magic stat effectively useless.
That means even a flick imbued with magic could kill them…
Without hesitation, I compressed the magic I’d gathered and unleashed a massive press attack.
Half the horde was instantly pulverized into chunks of meat. The remaining half dropped to their knees.
Among them was another species of monster.

Another level 305 monster, but its stats were just as specialized—this time in magic.
Its magic-heavy stat distribution was the polar opposite of the physical-heavy Berserk Ogres. The two species complemented each other perfectly, compensating for each other’s weaknesses.
With my overwhelming magic output, I could likely destroy the Troll Wise if I went all out. However, the Complete Magic Resistance made magic attacks significantly less effective.
A physical juggernaut in the Berserk Ogre, paired with a magic juggernaut in the Troll Wise—together, they formed a near-perfect balance.
A symbiotic force designed to nullify any single approach.
But even this combination wouldn’t be enough to withstand what was coming next.
As I prepared to escalate, the unprecedented disaster was only just beginning.
If my stats were even slightly lacking, I might have struggled against this opponent.
With that thought in mind, I extinguished all the elemental magic hurled at me using my mana, and then proceeded to beat down every one of the fifty thousand Troll Wise creatures, one by one, with my fists.
I thought using a mana press would be more efficient, but it still took me a whole three seconds to finish the job. Maybe brute-forcing it with mana would’ve been the smarter move.
“Hmm. But the enemies are weaker than I expected. I prepared assuming we’d face a million or even two million Kanahabi-class monsters swarming in.”
“…Even so, wasn’t I considered one of the stronger ones among the lower-tier gods?”
The Kanahabi protested irritably, clearly displeased, grumbling about how absurd it was to expect millions of beings as strong as it. I placated it as I scanned the area within a 1,000-kilometer radius for any traces of monsters.
…! Ah, I see. So that’s the pattern.
From Fukushima, Aomori, Iwate, Akita, Yamagata—all across Tohoku and down to southern Hokkaido—there are over a hundred hotspots!?
I can feel mana signatures comparable to the group I just fought in each of these locations.
And on top of that, there’s an enormous mana signature off the coast of Miyagi Prefecture, speeding toward us at an incredible rate. Judging by my instincts, this opponent is far stronger than the Kanahabi.
This is going to be a problem—a massive swarm of monsters, all level 305 and above.
Individually, these creatures are laughably weak to me. But even a single one, if left unchecked, could annihilate an entire town—or even an entire nation.
I can’t afford to let even one slip through. There’s no room for even a moment’s delay.
If even one location collapses, or if I make even one wrong move, tens or hundreds of thousands of lives could be lost in an instant.
This is one of the worst-case scenarios I’d anticipated—the kind of catastrophe I find most troublesome.
In fiction, they often call this a stampede. Whether it originates from a dungeon, a rift in dimensions, or another world, the premise is the same—a massive surge of monsters.
It’s an overwhelming wave of creatures that descends upon cities and nations, often accompanied by a particularly powerful boss.
For me, dealing with level triple-digit monsters, even in the tens of thousands, is no big deal. Thanks to my auto-healing and ultra-regeneration skills, I can confidently keep damage at zero.
But that’s not the case for everyone else.
Normal humans, with stats below 100 across the board, are fragile enough to die from a stray attack or even the shockwave from a sword clash. Protecting such people while fighting drastically raises the difficulty.
If the monsters were spread out, I could use my clones. But my clones are already deployed across the world, each engaged in their own battles. None of them can be recalled.
If I were to take down each threat individually and then rush to the next, it would waste too much time. Protecting this country—or even this world—from that massive monster, the one that could kill tens of thousands with just one second of neglect, would be nearly impossible.
This is, without a doubt, a hopeless situation.
If I were alone.
But I’m not.
I have someone amazing by my side—my adorable, reliable, and trustworthy girlfriend, Ichika-chan.
And together, Ichika-chan and I created an unbeatable team: the “Yasushi and Ichika’s Slaughter Automaton Army, Level 999.”
Specifically, in this Tohoku region, which I suspected would draw the most troublesome enemies, I made sure to come here in person, not as a clone. And, I brought 100 of our slaughter automatons with me.
A hundred locations? If anything, that feels too few.
The slaughter automatons are already spread across the points of attack, each engaging in combat with the monsters.
Meanwhile, I’ve arrived at the source of the massive mana distortion off the coast of Miyagi Prefecture.
Before me stands a creature with the lower body of a blue whale, even larger than the real thing, and the upper body of a muscular merman—a stunning display of athleticism.
“Hmph, I see. So, you’re the insolent one disrupting the trials of the gods.”

Title: Upper-Class God
I couldn’t fully analyze its stats, but they were so absurdly high that I could tell one thing—it had breached into the four-digit level range, somewhere in the 4000s.
This thing was insane. Without a doubt, it wasn’t just on a different level from me—it was from an entirely different dimension.
Not just a monster, but a god.
And now, I’ll fight that god.
