Intoxicated by Her Pheromones - Chapter 13
Song Qing had no objections to the arrangement. After agreeing, she went upstairs to change clothes. She was quick, casually throwing something on before leaving with Ye Zi.
Inside the van,
Song Qing leaned back, flipping through the omega profiles Ye Zi had gathered for her with little interest.
Ye Zi watched from the side, brows furrowed in concern. Seeing Song Qing’s reaction, she assumed, as usual, that none had caught her eye. Anxiety crept in.
“What’s wrong? Not a single one you like? I picked all of them based on your criteria—omegas with fruity pheromones, good looks, and all newcomers who’d be easy to handle. That way, we avoid unnecessary trouble later.”
“It’s not dissatisfaction. Maybe photos just don’t capture the right vibe. Whatever, I’ll decide in person. I’m going to nap now—wake me when we get there.” Unwilling to endure Ye Zi’s nagging, Song Qing pulled up her hood, covering half her face, then slipped on her headphones, shutting out any further conversation as she feigned sleep.
Ye Zi sighed but let it go, turning her attention to her own tasks.
Her schedule was packed. She’d barely managed to carve out time to meet Song Qing today, having already delayed a mountain of work.
Yet Song Qing showed no appreciation.
Just what kind of omega will someone this picky end up choosing?
Ye Zi exhaled heavily.
Song Qing only woke when they arrived. The short nap had refreshed her, lifting her previously sluggish mood.
By the time she stepped out of the car, she was in good spirits.
But the moment she walked in and saw the omegas, her mood soured.
The spacious room was thick with a chaotic mix of omega pheromones, overwhelming like a bustling marketplace.
Song Qing pushed the door open, and the moment those scents hit her, her brows knitted tightly.
To make it worse, the omegas brightened at the sight of her, immediately swarming around. Their cloying pheromones clung to the air like sticky, revolting tentacles.
Instantly, Song Qing felt even worse. Her expression turned icy, and without thinking, she unleashed the oppressive aura of a top-tier alpha.
The omegas around her stiffened, discomfort flashing across their faces, but fear of the alpha kept them frozen in place.
Ye Zi rushed over, sensing the tension, and quickly dispersed the crowd, pulling Song Qing out.
But Song Qing’s expression remained dark.
Once back in the car, she grabbed a scent blocker and sprayed herself furiously without a word.
Only after confirming no trace of the omegas’ pheromones lingered did she finally relax, her expression softening.
Ye Zi watched her, exasperated.
She was truly at a loss.
With a helpless sigh, she said, “Song Qing, what am I supposed to do here? If it’s really impossible, maybe we should just go with a beta. Finding an omega that meets your standards is like searching for a needle in a haystack. The show’s production team needs the promotional list by tonight—how am I supposed to deliver with you like this?”
“Is it really that hard to find one?”
Song Qing didn’t seem to care.
“Of course it’s difficult. The last one took me forever to find. But Su Shu is really good. Yet you didn’t want to sign a long-term contract with her. Ugh, I really don’t understand what you’re thinking.” Ye Zi sighed deeply, slipping back into her nagging mode.
Song Qing had been listening half-heartedly, but the moment Su Shu’s name was mentioned, his eyes snapped open.
Yet when Ye Zi brought this up, his tone instantly turned cold.
“Who said I didn’t want to? It was clearly her who refused.”
“Huh? She refused?”
