Irreversible Sadism (GL) - Chapter 1
When I was in elementary school, Ruri-chan’s seat was diagonally behind mine.
During class, bits of eraser that she had torn off would hit the back of my head repeatedly. Sometimes, they would land on the top of my head or get caught in my hair, and I would hear laughter, “You’ve got dandruff—gross!” When I turned around, screams would erupt.
When class ended, I was invariably taken to the bathroom. A bucket of water would be overturned on my head, soaking my uniform. When the school-issued swimsuit I wore underneath was revealed, a loud, raucous laughter echoed around me.
“See! Now you can go in the pool, right?”
I had never participated in school swimming lessons because I was naturally frail and would catch a cold if I stayed in cold water for too long. Ruri-chan, being considerate of me, would let me pretend to swim like this. The chlorine smell of the tap water in the bucket clung to my nostrils, making me feel nauseous.
“Okay, next is diving. Hold your breath!”
I plunged my head into the bucket filled to the brim with water. In the sudden rush, I exhaled, and large bubbles formed, floating away from me to the surface.
Before even ten seconds had passed, I felt myself losing consciousness, and just as my heart gave an uncomfortable thump, I was pulled back up by Ruri-chan.
“Cough! Hah, hah…!”
I coughed out a surprisingly loud sound, my body trembling as it craved oxygen. However, just as I was able to breathe, I felt my head being grabbed and was pushed back underwater again.
“How is it? Fun in the pool? You’re finally getting your wish to swim, aren’t you? Isn’t it great?”
Amidst my gasping breaths, I could hear Ruri-chan and her three followers’ voices filtering through the water. Their muffled voices sounded like the wails of ghosts from the depths of hell.
Ah, so this is hell.
And I am going to die.
There was no fear, only a thread of hope. For a brief moment, clinging to the unfounded wish that something might be there, was the only time I felt at peace.
But Ruri-chan was smart. She wouldn’t let me die because that would be a problem for her, so she pulled me up before it could happen.
I ended up vomiting water all over the place.
“Ugh! What the hell? Clean it up yourself!”
Ruri-chan and her entourage left me behind and returned to the classroom. I took a rag from the cleaning supplies and wiped the wet floor. The droplets falling from my bangs turned into dark stains, and I found it hard to return to the classroom.
Because I had been drenched, I developed a fever. I returned to school a week later.
“Hey, why are you still absent? Are you saying it’s our fault?”
“N-no, that’s not it…”
“Then come to school, even if you have to die!”
“B-but my mom told me to rest…”
“That’s what I’m saying! I’m telling you to come even if you die! If you’re not coming, then just die!”
In the usual bathroom, I was pinned down by her three followers.
Unable to move, I watched as Ruri-chan pulled out a mechanical pencil. Normally used for studying, it gleamed silver, sharp as a blade. The clicking sound as the lead extended reminded me of a utility knife.
“First, we need to teach your body a lesson. Where should we start? How about the thigh?”
Ruri-chan grabbed my skirt with force. I heard the sound of the hook tearing, and my skirt fell helplessly to the floor.
“Wait, she’s still wearing character-themed underwear! This is too much!”
The heat gathering on my face, I couldn’t tell if it was from being pinned down or from embarrassment. Before I could even say stop, the sharp lead of the pencil was thrust into my thigh.
“Ahhh! It hurts, it hurts, it hurts! No! Stop!”
“Huh? It’s your fault for being absent!”
Even when the lead broke, Ruri-chan didn’t stop stabbing. The wound oozed darkly, and the thought that the lead might be stuck inside made me so scared that tears streamed down my face.
“Okay! Time for disinfection!”
Ruri-chan pulled out a lighter and held it to my wound. The pain and heat made me scream.
“Hey! Shut your mouth!”
The hands of her followers tightened around my mouth and neck. I couldn’t make a sound or breathe. My face was soaked with tears and snot as I struggled.
In a moment of panic, I kicked Ruri-chan’s leg.
She glared at me with a furious expression.
“What the hell are you kicking me for?!”
I was going to be killed, I was going to be killed.
“No, no!”
With my arms pinned down, I thrashed my lower body. But Ruri-chan kneed me in the stomach, trying to subdue me. I bit the hand that was squeezing my neck. A scream erupted. My head was held down, my hair was pulled, and the bathroom door was kicked and banged against, creating a chaotic scene with Ruri-chan, her followers, and me all tangled together.
“This is enough already!”
Ruri-chan gripped the mechanical pencil tightly and drew it back.
“Ah!”
In that instant, Ruri-chan slipped on the wet floor.
It felt as if time had slowed down.
The tip of the pencil fell like raindrops, touching my eyeball.
From there, it was just a matter of surrendering to gravity.
That was when it happened.
A hole was opened in my life.
As the pencil pierced my eyeball, a clear sky, like a rainbow, spread across my vision.
