It Seems I've Been Reincarnated As A Mob Character In An Otome Game World, But The Prince Dropped Out Before It Even Started - Episode 10
Alice Crawford.
It’s the name of the heroine from the otome game “Prelude of Love: Welcome to Romancia Academy.”
My nickname in my mind is the Pink-Haired Heroine. She is a small girl with fluffy pink hair that reaches just below her shoulders and large blue eyes, making her quite adorable. In the game, she seems like an angel, but in the anime, she had a devilish personality.
The name Alice and the surname Crawford seem to be the default names in the game (the initial settings for characters whose names can be changed) — since I haven’t played the game, all of this is secondhand information.
The anime adaptation of the derivative work “Ai Roma” also had the pink-haired heroine with this default name.
So I thought I existed in this world under the name “Alice Crawford” as well, but…
Actually, in the past, I didn’t exactly use the power of the underworld, but I did look into her a bit.
Right after enrolling in Romancia Academy, I realized that this world might be from the anime “Ai Roma.”
Alice, who grew up in an orphanage, was favored by the elderly Lord and Lady Crawford and became their adopted daughter, now known as Lady Alice Crawford.
So, I checked the peerage and confirmed whether the Crawford barony exists and if there are any adopted daughters. By the way, the peerage is not something that commoners can easily access, so saying I used my power is not incorrect.
Conclusion. The Crawford baronial family existed, but there was no adopted daughter.
In the original game, her past might have been detailed, but in the anime, Alice Crawford’s past was quickly glossed over.
So, since I only know about anime, I hardly know anything about Alice.
I have checked several times since then to see if they have not yet adopted a daughter, but as of now, the Crawford’s still do not have an adopted daughter.
Here, I formulated three hypotheses.
One is if the pink-haired heroine does not have the default name “Alice Crawford.”
In this case, I can’t track their whereabouts at all. If their name has changed, I’m at a loss. As a low-ranking member, I don’t have the authority to move in the shadows.
Another scenario is when the villainess with knowledge of her past life has already taken action.
She’s the kind of woman who will definitely pull the bad end flag.
If we use the influence and wealth of the Duke of Cunningham’s family, we could easily do something about one orphan girl from the orphanage. I hope she is isolated in the countryside and living a reasonably happy life.
The last one is a case where the pink-haired heroine also has memories of her past life and is escaping to avoid a “gotcha” moment.
In that case, there’s no way they would find it.
Zama is too scary. If I were born as her, I would run away with all my might.
Hmm, I wonder if the villainess is up to something after all?
There is an example in the anime, but she is brilliantly smashing the flags. It’s amazing that she is already with her true love, the second prince, at this point.
Due to the retirement of the first prince, the anime’s story has changed even more. It’s possible that they kept the pink-haired heroine away from the main stage because she was no longer needed.
There’s no way to confirm it, though.
I’m just a mob character, so I’ve never initiated a conversation. To the villainess, I’m probably just like a stone by the roadside.
Well, since Cedi-sama won’t have anything to do with the academy anymore, I guess I don’t have to think about the pink-haired heroine anymore!
Carrying the paper bag filled with Lord Cedi’s personal belongings, I return to the boys’ dormitory room.
The first prince, who is battling an illness, was observing whether he could return to school, but ultimately, he ends up quitting.
That’s why I didn’t immediately take my belongings and waited for a certain period.
Since my surroundings have become clean, I am finally planning to move to the sanatorium in Lakewood soon. We, the attendants, have also submitted our resignation letters, so they will probably be accepted soon.
When I entered the room, only Lady Cedi was there. There wasn’t a single attendant in sight.
Indeed, it’s my private room, but it’s bad that no one is here… When I focused my attention near the ceiling, I could properly sense the presence of a senior from the dark side. Still, Lord Cedi isn’t someone who is good at being alone in public.
I wonder if it’s being cleared of people?
I’m sorry, but I can’t leave you alone from now on, so I approach Cedi-sama while holding the paper bag.
At his command, I retrieved personal belongings from the student council room. I must report this.
“I’ve just returned,” I reported while showing the paper bag, and Lady Cedi nodded graciously and accepted the bag.
It seems they are going to check the contents now, so I suggested making some tea, and it was agreed.
Hehehe, my tea-making skills are quite impressive, you know? I’ve always been in charge because I can quickly detect any poison that’s been added.
Well, my responsibilities aren’t just limited to tea; they cover all kinds of cooking too.
Alexis Irving.
I want to talk to you. Make sure to include your share and sit in front of me.
“Understood.”
I placed the cup of black tea on the table and was about to move to the wall where the servant usually stands when Lord Cedi called out to me.
Unusual. Or rather, this might be the first time I’ve been invited personally.
Lord Cedi is a solitary figure. He rarely speaks to his attendants on his own.
The only ones who can converse with those serving the First Prince are Ian, Hugh, and two other high-ranking nobles (Hugh is also connected to the count’s family, so he’s technically a high-ranking noble too! Even if he’s just a lowly one).
That attitude, which seemed to be cold towards the lower-ranking noble’s servant, was perceived by those around as the arrogance of the privileged class, but there was a reason for it.
Ian-sama taught me.
It seems that when Lord Cedi was still young, there was a series of incidents where a servant from a lower noble family who had been serving him went missing and was later found dead in the slums of the royal capital.
Yes, of course, the mastermind is the Empress. There’s no proof, though.
