Brave’s party came down the stairs. I guess they finished reporting to Logan-san.

“Yes. We’ve already finished cashing everything in. How about you guys?”

“Yeah, I’m not used to this kind of work. Took me a bit longer to finish the report.”

Brave shrugged his shoulders. Funny how he can pull it off without seeming arrogant.

“Let’s go, then. Is it alright if we go with our recommendation? It’s a place where we can relax and make some noise without worry.”

We followed Brave and his team out of the guild.

It’s a stylish place, but there are quite a few adventurers here and it’s not exactly quiet. Is this a common hangout for them?

The employees were well-groomed, and it looked like a fairly high-end place.

“Ah, it’s been a while. Also, just Brave now, okay?”

“Oh, yes! My apologies, Brave-san. We have a private room ready for you. Right this way.”

Wow, they’re taking us to a private room. Being famous really gets you special treatment.

While we were being led to our seats, I noticed a lot of adventurers greeting Brave. Actually, nearly all of them did.

The private room we were shown to had a large table for about ten people, topped with a platter of fruit.

The table and chairs weren’t flashy, but had a refined atmosphere it was clear they were good quality.

The other furnishings must have been chosen to match the table, they blended perfectly with the room.

“This place is really nice, huh…? Looks kinda expensive, though…”

“If you’re a high-ranking mid-tier adventurer, it’s not that pricey. Remember those adventurers who greeted me? They’re mid-tier too. You guys will be coming here soon enough. I figured it’s good to get the staff to remember your faces. Come on, sit down.”

He’s so thoughtful… Maybe this kind of consideration is what makes someone popular. Not that I think I could pull it off myself.

I think I just saw one of the reasons why Brave is so well-liked.

But in places like this, is there etiquette around where to sit…?

Saying that, Brave took a seat in the middle of the table’s left side.

As soon as we ordered, the waiter brought out an aperitif. This smell… could it be?

“Well then, here’s to Cruz-kun’s promotion to intermediate adventurer.”

“Huh? I’m an intermediate adventurer?”

“Didn’t you hear from the front desk when you exchanged your loot? Reaching the 11th floor qualifies you as intermediate. Your adventurer card should be bronze now, too.”

Oh, it’s true, it’s bronze now. I must’ve missed it since I skipped ahead during the exam.

“You’re right. I’m intermediate already, huh…?”

“Haha. Doesn’t feel real yet? You’ll get used to it soon.”

I saw Brave take a sip of the aperitif, so I followed suit.

In the village, people drink this more than wine, but I guess it’s rare in Spada. I still remember Alfred’s reaction, and I can tell this isn’t cheap stuff.

That’s a clever move, starting with something impactful to build anticipation for the meal. It definitely gets your hopes up for good food.

Every dish they brought out was delicious. I didn’t recognize any of them, but I assumed they’d taste great and ate everything without hesitation.

As soon as my glass was empty, they brought another. So I got to try lots of drinks, and every one of them was tasty.

I wonder if we could make this in the village… That’s it! I’ll have Alfred bring some next time.

“See? Pretty good, right?”

Brave had a fair amount to drink, his face turning red and his manner of speaking becoming noticeably more causal then when he was sober.

I was probably the same. Oh well, it’s tasty, so who cares.

“Yeah. I’d eat this every day if I could.”

“If you reach floor 30, you can eat like this every day. You can make it, right? To 30F?”

“Yeah, I don’t think getting to 30F will be a problem.”

Brave’s expression seemed to shift for a moment, but I didn’t notice it at the time.

“Oh? Have you maybe gone past floor 30 already?”

“No, that guy’s too strong. I’m stuck at the 30F.”

“You talking about the Snow Woman?”

“Exactly! Her Ice Storm spell hurts a lot! Oh, should I not have said that here?”

“Don’t worry. The servers are out of earshot. Oh, your glass is empty, huh?”

Brave poured me some alcohol and then filled his own glass with the same.

“Yay! Cheers to delicious drinks!!”

I was completely drunk and my spirits were high.

“Cheers!! I get it, the Snow Woman’s way too strong. We can’t get past her Ice Storm either. If we beat her, we’d become advanced adventurers though…”

It seems Brave is struggling against the Snow Woman too. Surely, defeating her would justify claiming a higher adventurer rank without criticism.

“If you farm on 30F, you can get earth-element magic equipment that’s useful against the Snow Woman. Earth magic stones from 21–25F are decent, but the ones from 41–45F perform better. I recommend buying those. Have you checked out the Magic Equipment Guild yet?”

I see. Magic gear really is essential… Looks like I challenged the Snow Woman completely uninformed.

“No, I haven’t gone yet… Where is it?”

“It’s in the plaza with the dungeon entrance. The guilds adventurers need are all concentrated around there.”

“I see. I’ll go check it out tomorrow.”

Apparently, surrounding the plaza are the Adventurer’s Guild, three commerce guilds, the Magic Gear Guild, and the Alchemy Guild. All of them definitely necessary.

After that, I learned that status effects don’t work at all on the Snow Woman and that it’s best to prepare a large number of healing potions.

He really is a good guy through and through.

After Brave and the others paid the bill and stepped outside,

“Alright, we’ll start from the 21st floor tomorrow. Let’s meet on the guild’s second floor.”

“Understood. Should we meet after dawn?”

“Yeah. Any earlier would be a problem for us too. See you tomorrow.”

“Yeah. Catch you tomorrow.”

Brave and his group walked off toward the area lined with luxurious-looking houses.

Me? I went to the public bathhouse, of course.
