Let me backtrack a bit. I chose to explore the 8th floor over the 4th floor because I felt like I hadn’t been growing recently.

“Please be careful.”

“Alright, I’m heading out. Since it’s already the fourth day, make sure you don’t push yourself too much.”

I gently stroked Rio’s belly, which had grown to about the size it would be at 6–8 months, before heading down to the 8th floor.

The scenery on the 8th floor was the same as the 6th and 7th. The monsters living there were octopuses swimming gracefully through the water.

A tentacle showdown… I can’t afford to lose. Fueled by rivalry, I attacked the octopus from above. The octopus retaliated with its eight tentacles from the water. The two sets of tentacles tangled, unable to land any decisive blows.

Suddenly, my tentacles started to move sluggishly. I felt a strange numbness—paralysis? If this keeps up, I won’t be able to move due to the poison.

I spread my eight tentacles wide, stretching the octopus’s limbs to their fullest. The octopus struggled to free itself, but the tentacles were too tightly intertwined for it to escape.

“I don’t just have eight tentacles.”

I created three new tentacles, shaped two of them into swords, and cut off the octopus’s legs. Then I formed one into a spear and impaled its head, killing it.

So, finally an enemy with status effects has appeared… Even though I have more diverse attacks, I can’t afford to let my guard down. While I consumed the octopus, I thought about how to approach battles on this floor.

The octopus possessed two skills: [Paralysis] and [Adhesion].

Paralysis: Inflicts paralysis on the opponent. Also grants resistance to paralysis for the user.

Adhesion: You can stick to pretty much anything.

I could disrupt the opponent’s movements by either applying paralysis slime directly or flowing it into the water. Additionally, it seems I could send it through the wounds caused by a spear or sword.

The Monster House in this area is independent from the dungeon’s waterways and resembles a large pond. The entrance is elevated, possibly to label it as ‘undefeated.’ This makes it safer to release the paralysis poison without exposing myself too much.

I thought adhesion wouldn’t be useful, but that wasn’t the case. The stability when sticking to the ceiling was far better than expected. While my footing felt unstable when swinging the golem mace, doubling the mace tentacles took care of the problem.

With my newly acquired paralysis resistance, I no longer struggled against the octopus. By the time [Paralysis] reached Level 2, the octopus was the one getting paralyzed instead.

After finding the black gate, I created a non-existent Monster House at the white gate, completing my exploration here. I placed about 20 octopus jars made from golems inside the Monster House. If they seem useful, I’ll keep them; if not, I’ll absorb them again.

Back to the present, I watch Rio as her tail is stroked and think to myself: If I manage to grow her chest, could I use [Adhesion] to make a milking machine? Of course, sucking directly from the milk sacs would be satisfying, but the visual aspect of the milking machine could be equally enjoyable.

The octopus is probably crying because of the excessive use of [Adhesion]…
