I’ve Been Reincarnated as a Tentacle Slime~ I Want to Live a Comfortable, Secure Life and Do Whatever I Want~ - Chapter 67
I went to the church located southeast of the village and met with Sister Tirie. The priest lost his life during the bandit attack, so she is now the head of the church.
Tirie is a member of the Ox-people tribe, a race with two short horns on their forehead and cow ears where humans would have human ears.
Their men tend to be muscular, women tend to have very large br3asts, and Tirie, like other Ox-people, has huge br3asts around an H cup.
“I don’t know if I should confirm with Tirie, but I have something I want to ask.”
“Yes. If it’s something I can answer, I’ll answer anything.”
Tirie, dressed in a black robe, narrowed her blue eyes and smiled gently. Her droopy eyes made her look even kinder.
“I’m planning to build a new stone church on the village’s north side and want to know if permission from religious officials is required, and if I should get that permission from Tirie.”
In this area, or at least to the knowledge of the villagers, there is only one religion called the Labyrinth Faith, honoring the god who made the dungeons.
I can understand why they’re grateful for a dungeon that’s not only strangely kind but also endlessly produces materials like meat, fish, and furs.
I’ve also benefited from the dungeon, and if I hadn’t been born in the dungeon, I surely would have died miserably.
“Oh my! You’re going to build a stone church? The Lord is surely pleased with your faith Cruz-sama.”
Tirie smiled happily. She might be glad because the village will get a splendid stone church instead of the modest wooden one that was just a bit bigger than a house.
“Regarding the construction of the church, if you have permission from the priest or the village chief, there is no problem. So if Lord Cruz has decided to build it, you can. However, if you build a large cathedral, permission from the bishop or cardinal in the city is required.”
In other words, when building a huge structure like a cathedral, authority is involved so permission is necessary. But if it’s just somewhat grand, it adds prestige, so they’d probably encourage you to go ahead.
“I see, thanks. Sorry for my ignorance, but is there a religious symbol of some sort? I couldn’t find anything like that around here…”
“We use the dungeon gates as symbols. The entrance to the church is a black gate, and the exit from the church is a white gate. Our wooden church can’t create such a system, so most of the time it’s just a simple doorway.
For us, placing the correct symbol in the stone church becomes the goal for each village. Thanks to Lord Cruz this time, we seem able to fulfill our duty. Thank you very much. May God’s blessing be upon you…”
Tirie took my hand, clasped her hands over her chest, and sincerely offered a prayer.
Being thanked this much, I can’t say it was just practice for building a fort… I’ll keep it a secret forever.
–
On the north side of the village, at the planned church site, Tirie, the recovered Uriel, and the fourth and fifth sons, Dice and Kouga, who had been with me, gathered—five people in total.
“Now then, we need to consider the design… Tirie, is there any regulation for the gate’s shape?”
“The dungeon gates are rectangular and plain, but for churches, there are no specifications for shape or decoration. As long as black and white are the main colors, coloring for decoration is allowed.”
In other words, we’re free to do whatever we want…
“Uri, Dice, Kouga, do you have any ideas? Should we make it look like a normal church with a triangular roof and lots of arches?”
“I agree with your idea, Father-sama, it’s best to keep the form simple and emphasize decoration and interior design.”
“Tirie will be living here, right? I think it’s better to avoid unconventional shapes.”
“Dad! I want to make really elaborate pillars like in the Middle Ages! Can I do it!?”
Oh! You respond instantly, like striking a chord!
“Then, let’s have Kouga handle the pillars. Uri will take care of the decorative design, and Dice will handle the floor plan. Once the layout is decided, I’ll start building the foundation.”
“Okay!” “Understood!” “Alright!!”
–
After the base layout was finished, we created rough shapes like doors using golem stone, then the four of us worked out the details while going back and forth with ideas.
Since the shape could be changed as much as needed, we fixed anything that felt “off,” and the church was completed in about half a day.
“My, what a magnificent church! To think such a church would be built… Even in a city, this would stand out as a splendid church! Ah… To be able to offer prayers in such a place…”
Tirie was so overwhelmed that her eyes filled with tears.
Even I thought it looked amazing. The baby slimes’ design sense was incredible. The overall tone was gray stone, but the black pillars at the entrance and the white pillars inside looked like they belonged in a church photo, and the arches connecting the columns were in perfect harmony.
Simply raising the entrance with stairs made it seem more formal and grand than if it were built flat on the earth.
There were plant-themed reliefs and flowing patterns placed throughout, with the exterior and interior based on gray, accented with black and white, so it didn’t feel plain.
I installed a charcoal-burning fireplace in Tirie’s living space. With wooden flooring for a modern feel, I tried experimental ideas like making a sofa with wood chips due to the lack of tanned leather and cotton and laid down a fur carpet.
I tried insulating the walls by creating air layers and embedding wood between them. Since I heard double-paned windows trap air that works as insulation, it should keep the room warmer than using single-layer stone.
I’ll keep an eye on how it goes and identify areas for improvement.
“This is going to be my house…?”
Tirie was stunned by how completely different this place was from her old living space.
“No drafts come in, and the room doesn’t get cold easily. Plus, there’s a charcoal fireplace, so you should live more comfortably in winter than before.”
“To receive… this much… how could I ever repay you, Cruz-sama…”
It’s basically like being gifted a whole house. No wonder she’s flustered.
“That goes without saying. Giving birth to lots of my children, that’s more than enough.”
Though it’s impossible to match the nursery girls, being able to ovulate and get pregnant close to that level is more than enough.
“Then, isn’t that the same as now…?”
“You’ll be developed to ovulate more and to conceive more easily than you do now. I’ll make your ovaries large enough that their shape is clearly visible. You’ve seen Rio’s, haven’t you? Bigger than that.”
“Yes, those two bulges in my lower abdomen are my ovaries, right? Please, let my heart and body be dyed entirely by Cruz-sama’s will.”
“Then, it’s alright to begin development now, right?”
“Yes――――”
A few days after she gave birth to a Holstein-like body I milked her br3asts, devouring her milk will injecting mucus into every one of her female holes as the night drew on.
This time’s results:
・Constructed a church to serve as a benchmark for fort and residential construction.
・It turned out the baby slimes have incredible design sense.
