I’ve Been Reincarnated as a Tentacle Slime~ I Want to Live a Comfortable, Secure Life and Do Whatever I Want~ - Chapter 70
Half a month after impregnating Rio, the village girls, and the nursery girls――
The 24 previous slimes were already part of the fighting force, and with two rounds of childbirth, 96 and 120 new slimes were born, increasing the number by 216.
The 96 slime batch had nearly completed their training and were about to be deployed to the frontlines.
Rio gave birth to 12 in the first delivery, but since it seemed difficult due to her physical limitations, the second delivery was limited to 10. She seemed a little dissatisfied, but it was unavoidable out of concern for her health. Leonor gave birth to 6 and then 8, and Ravioli along with the 11 village girls each gave birth to 4 and 6.
–
“Mika. It’s been about half a month since the team size increased three to four times. Any problems so far?”
The 24 were split into groups of six among Michael’s teams, so the number each person manages increased from 2–3 to 8–9.
“No issues, Father. Receiving cores has improved our abilities. However, adding the sibling trainees might be too much to handle.”
The newly born slimes have all been limited to 3 cores. The surplus was given to Mika’s group, and four of them surpassed 100 cores.
“Managing 50 people alone is impossible. How about promoting Mia and the other five as leaders and form ten teams?”
There are currently 250 young slimes. Even teams of 25 each feel a bit too large…
“In that case, there’s no problem. Having a certain number of people allows for more to be done. Father, please impregnate the girls without worry.”
(I see, so there’s no problem… Well, if Mika says it’s fine, then I guess it is.)
By the way, the total cores not used for birth were 494. The nursery girls worked hard, releasing 40 eggs from one ovary in the first pregnancy, and 50 in the second. Out of the 494 cores, 360 were able to be collected from the nursery girls. Since Rio gave birth more than the number of ovulations, she produced few cores…
These cores were first used to bring Mika and the other three to 100 cores each, consuming 80 times 4 equals 320 cores, and 20 times 6 equals 120 cores were used for Mia’s group. I absorbed the leftover 54 cores.

The changes in the dungeon are not limited to the number of slimes.
The first change is that we surpassed the 25th floor of the earth zone.
Out of 34 people, 75%, about 25 to 26, now permanently serve as forces inside the dungeon, allowing us to overpower enemies with sheer numbers.
The earth zone remained a maze-type dungeon as before. If there was any change, it was that the walls had changed from dirt to stone. The hardness had reached about the same level as golems, making Monster House creation more difficult…
Let me introduce the monsters from each conquered floor. It will be a simple overview of the monsters and the materials gathered.
The monster on the 21st floor was a sand golem. It was humanoid in shape, about 3 meters tall, with a body made of flowing sand.
Due to its soft body, attacks with the [Blunt] attribute were ineffective. It was a troublesome enemy with the golem-specific resistances to slashing and piercing, making it resistant to all physical attacks. However, magic was its weakness, and it could be defeated with a few hits of wind magic.
The 21st floor was a floor where magic consumption was much higher compared to before…
What was obtained from the sand golem was whiteish sand. It would probably be used as a base for ceramic glazes or glass.
The monster on the 22nd floor was a treant covered in thick leaves, about 5 meters long.
Its attack method involved swinging tree branches like whips and throwing leaves like shuriken, covering both close and long range with no openings.
The treant’s leaf shuriken didn’t easily turn to ash against a fire magic wall and about half passed through the barrier, but with a wind magic wall, their trajectory could be easily changed. Still, I realize that wind magic’s true weakness lies in earth-element monsters.
From the treant, we obtained timber and fruits like apples and oranges that grow on trees. It felt very odd seeing persimmons growing next to apples, but since they were growing on a monster, it’s probably best not to think too much about it.
Next, the monster on the 23rd floor is a Clay Golem.
It’s basically a clay version of the Sand Golem. Like the Sand Golem, it has resistance to all physical attacks, so this floor required a large amount of magic power.
The thing obtained from this one is clay. It’s a material for making ceramics.
(Still, why are sand and clay golems placed on deeper floors when the stone Golem is on 5F?)
However the thought of physical-resistant enemies appearing on 5F sends chills down my spine… Maybe having the stone Golem on 5F is a sensible choice.
On the 24th floor, a Bronze Golem appeared. Finally, metal monsters have shown up! Mika predicted metal-type monsters in the earth region, and it was spot on.
Seeing the possibility of the fortress being built, everyone’s motivation became incredible. Wind magic and parts of the Bronze Golems flew wildly, and the Golems were beaten up as soon as they were found. The material obtained was bronze, allowing the use of bronze weapons and armor. These are harder than the wind wolf’s spear and scorpion shield, likely becoming the main force from now on.
Also, since the walls in the earth area were hard, creating Monster Houses starting from floor 20, which had been postponed, became easier and it became the top priority development area.
The 25th floor was, as usual, a floating yellow orb.
The new skill we got from it was [Vibration Detection], which allows you to know enemy positions from vibrations when walking on the ground or walls. It cannot detect airborne enemies, but it might be useful if underground enemies start appearing.
There was no item obtained from it… it’s probably a miss. Maybe it’s an enemy meant to teach [Healing Magic] and various detection skills.
We spent a week clearing the earth area, then spent the next week developing the earth area—mainly the 24th floor.
–
First, twenty slimes constructed ten Monster House rooms each day on the 24th floor.
After creating 500 rooms, we temporarily stopped and had them move to build the village’s defensive walls and the fortress where I plan to live.
The remaining members were instructed to train the young slimes and build Monster Houses in other parts of the earth zone.
This should be about all for the conquest of the earth zone.
–
Secondly, the dungeon itself has expanded due to 100 individuals from outside residing in it.
The change was that the distance from the dungeon’s white gate to the black gate lengthened.
However, it’s not that the entire maze changed, it felt like an area was appended where the black gate had been. So mapping was only necessary for the new area. I’m really glad the maze wasn’t completely renewed… or the precious map would have gone to waste.
Also, it seems the monster population in the dungeon rose. The dungeon entrance stated that the number of monsters had increased to 1.1 times the standard amount.
However, since we mainly use Monster Houses, it might not really matter much.
That’s about all regarding the dungeon’s growth. There weren’t any major changes now, but it will probably develop more as the number of occupants increases.
–
The third change was building a stone tower that fully encloses the dungeon entrance.
When returning from the village to the west, the slimes — and myself too, often lost sight of this place.
There was a risk of others discovering this place, but wouldn’t it be better to enclose the dungeon entrance indoors to keep it hidden?
Therefore, it was decided to construct a tower that’s easy to spot.
Leveraging the knowledge from the spire on the village’s fortifications, I believe it turned out well enough.
That’s probably about it for the dungeon, right?
Oh, right. It was written on the 25th floor’s sign board that the 26th floor is a water area. So maybe every 20 floors the terrain cycles from water to earth.
