“Just a little experiment. I wanted to see if I could recharge this magic crystal with magic power.” 

I was about to test the idea we had discussed during dinner. Knowing His Majesty, he was probably already making arrangements for an official experiment. But since I was the one who brought it up, I wanted to try it myself first. 

“Is that safe?”

Tora-chan pulled out a small planetarium device.

I immediately opened a side panel and inserted the magic crystal. 

“Um, Rufus-sama… What exactly is that magic tool?” 

“This is, uh… What is it, Tora-chan?”

“This is a planetarium. It can recreate a starry sky inside a dark room.” 

“That’s amazing! Let’s test it out. Is this the switch?” 

A soft light flickered from the device. 

Since the room was bright, I couldn’t see it well. But tiny lights were shimmering from the black dome on top. 

It might be easier to see if the room were darker. Sorry, Balt and Ray, but I need to dim the lights. 

“Marimo, could you turn off the lights for a bit?” 

The room darkened instantly. 

Balt and Ray let out gasps of admiration. 

When I looked up, a vast starry sky spread across the entire ceiling. 

As my eyes adjusted to the darkness, more and more stars appeared. They were twinkling beautifully.

Did Balt and Ray see this view from the start? Just what kind of eyes do they have? 

“It’s beautiful!” 

“It really is. So this is what the outside looks like at night~” 

Aqua and Tia’s excited voices reached my ears. 

Now that I think about it, I’ve never taken them outside at night. Even during our trip to the Duke of Flute’s territory, we always stayed at an inn after dark.

Balt sounded a bit excited. 

Was this really such a big deal?
