Well then, time to get to work energetically at the Summoning Guild today—or so I thought, until Barl stopped me. 

“Rufus-sama, have you forgotten something?” 

“Forgotten what?” 

“About having the royal family taste the cream puffs and mitarashi dango.” 

“Oh, right, I totally forgot.” 

Nice one, Balt. You get a point for that. Since no one mentioned it at breakfast, it completely slipped my mind. 

Did everyone else forget too? No, at least not Brother Gilliam. There’s no way he’d forget. 

I’d better get this done before Brother Gilliam storms the Summoning Guild. Otherwise, he’d go on another rampage and start practicing his swings in the dining room again. 

By now, the kitchen staff should be done cleaning up from breakfast. They might be having a late breakfast themselves, but that shouldn’t be a big issue. 

“Balt, Ray, let’s head to the kitchen. Selvus, Lala, I’ll be back soon.” 

“Take care.” 

“Ah…” 

Huh? What’s wrong, Lala? Why the troubled sigh? Could it be that she wanted to try the cream puffs and mitarashi dango? Well, I guess I have no choice. 

“Change of plans. In the name of Rufus Eladoria, I command you—manifest, Tetsujin Chef!” 

“Ma!” 

“Can you make cream puffs and mitarashi dango? Could you list the ingredients for me?” 

“Ma.” 

Tetsujin started scribbling on a piece of paper. Seeing this, Lala looked apologetic. 

I can’t just leave it like this. A capable guy casually supports a girl in need. 

“Before asking the kitchen staff to make them, let’s do a taste test here first. It’d be a problem if they didn’t taste good. Sorry, but you all will be my test subjects.” 

“Oh dear, please be gentle with us.” 

“I-I’ll do my best!” 

Selvus seemed to have figured everything out and joked along. Balt and Ray didn’t seem to mind either and were smiling pleasantly. 

Alright, now Lala’s hunger suspicion should be completely cleared up. 

“Ray, could you get these ingredients from the kitchen?” 

“Understood.” 

With a bow, Ray dashed off like the wind. It looks like Ray’s speed is better than Balt’s. On the other hand, Balt’s solid build seems reliable for defense. 

While waiting for Ray to return, I took out the cooking utensils from Tora-chan. I also summoned everyone. I wanted them to try the cream puffs and mitarashi dango too. 

Seeing me summon my creatures, Selvus and Lala began summoning theirs. Their movements were still a bit awkward. But once they get used to it, they’ll probably start summoning them just to cuddle without even thinking about it. 

“Um, Master, you called for us with a purpose, right?” 

“That’s right. I summoned you so I could cuddle, Lagios.” 

“Then… what about Beartolt?” 

“I summoned Beartolt to snuggle.” 

Oh, Lagios is looking off into the distance with a faraway look. The others followed suit and looked up at the ceiling. They were tilting their heads curiously. 

Maybe I’m the first to summon magical creatures without any reason at all. Perhaps the Creator God foresaw this and reincarnated me into this world for the evolution of magical creatures. 

“I’ll let you all try something delicious too.” 

“It’s different from the pudding we had yesterday, right? I’m excited to see what kind of sweets they are.” 

“They’re sweet, right? Sweet treats make me feel happy.” 

It seems like Tia and Aqua especially liked sweet treats. Looking around at the others, they all seemed a bit fidgety. They weren’t saying anything, but they were clearly curious. 

Hmm, Selvus is petting the Marmot he summoned. The Marmot tilted its head slightly as it was being petted. 

Nice, this is good. This proves that the Marmot is responding of its own free will. Selvus seemed to notice it too, as he started petting it even more enthusiastically. He looked like he was having fun. 

Lala was letting the Bardon she summoned walk from finger to finger. Meanwhile, the Marmot on the ground was looking up, observing the scene. 

Could it be that, little by little, they’re starting to control multiple magical creatures at once? 

I didn’t expect to see results this quickly. At this rate, they might be able to control multiple magical creatures simultaneously without taking too much time. 

While I was playing around with everyone, Ray returned—with the head chef in tow. 

“Rufus-sama, the head chef would like to watch the cooking process, if possible.” 

“I apologize for the sudden visit, Your Highness the Third Prince. I heard you’re about to make cream puffs and mitarashi dango. Would you allow me to observe how they’re made?” 

The head chef bowed at a perfect right angle. Looks like he won’t lift his head until I give permission. I could practically feel his determination radiating from his perfectly straight posture. Oh well, I was planning to have them made in the kitchen afterward anyway. I’ll just think of this as a golden opportunity. 

“Raise your head, Head Chef. Of course, I don’t mind. After the taste test, I was planning to go to the kitchen to teach everyone how to make them.” 

“I am truly grateful! …By the way, what is that metal box over there?” 

After raising his head, the chef immediately noticed the heating appliance next to Tetsujin. Oh, wait… is this going to be a problem?
