Kicked Back to a Rich Family by the Real Eldest Daughter - Chapter 11
Chapter 11
After finishing up, Tang Jinzhi planned to take a bath to relax.
She had only been able to take a quick, uncomfortable shower at the hospital, but now she could finally wash up properly and comfortably.
Xie Xiangyi said goodbye to her before she entered the bathroom.
When Xie Xiangyi mentioned she was on night duty and wouldn’t be back until tomorrow morning, Tang Jinzhi felt completely numb.
Doctors really worked too hard.
Tang Jinzhi was still counting how many hours of rest Xie Xiangyi would get tomorrow while soaking in the bathtub.
“Sigh…”
Tang Jinzhi sighed. She had been in the water for a while and was getting a little bored.
She picked up her phone to check the time. It was almost 6 PM. Xie Xiangyi hadn’t even had time to eat dinner with her.
Tang Jinzhi: “Are you guys busy at night too?”
Xie Xiangyi had just arrived at the hospital and hadn’t started working yet. She quickly replied, [My department is fine. The night shift is relatively quiet.]
Tang Jinzhi: “But it must still be tiring. You also have a paper to write, right?”
Xie Xiangyi: “It’s okay. It’s nothing.”
Just as Tang Jinzhi was about to comment on how positive Xie Xiangyi’s mindset was, she received another message from her.
Xie Xiangyi: “Just pushing through.”
Tang Jinzhi: …
Tang Jinzhi’s eyes twitched. Xie Xiangyi, please don’t say things like that. It doesn’t fit your character.
Tang Jinzhi: “Dr. Xie, you work hard. Remember to eat dinner. If you can’t handle it, remember to find me, even though I’m useless.”
After some casual chat with Xie Xiangyi, Tang Jinzhi clicked on the contact she had sent her earlier.
She looked at the nickname and profile picture, then switched accounts. Sure enough, this person was on her private account, but she hadn’t given her a nickname.
Tang Jinzhi clicked on it and casually saved “TW” so she wouldn’t forget who it was later.
After saving the contact, she clicked on the chat history and found that it was all one-sided.
It turned out that the other person’s phone number was indeed blocked, and this contact was added on the day she was hospitalized. She had accepted the request because she didn’t know who the person was.
After a quick scan of the useless messages, Tang Jinzhi was silent for a few seconds and then blocked the person.
Tang Jinzhi complained in her heart. Her biological mother had no way to get into her daughter’s engagement party, so she came knocking on her door, even getting angry. What a classless mom.
After blocking her, Tang Jinzhi didn’t leave the chat right away. She clicked on the chat page and sent a bunch of nasty messages.
Anyway, this wasn’t her mom, and it wasn’t the original owner’s mom either. We are the fake heiress, so why be polite to someone else’s mom?
“You need my help?”
“You don’t have hands, feet, or a brain? If that’s the case, you can’t rely on me. You’d better rely on God’s blessings.”
“Are you sure you gave birth to me? Why don’t I remember having you as a mom?”
“Then I must be very unfilial to not know my biological mom is still alive.”
“I burn millions of yuan for my mom every year for Qingming. If you can give it back to me, I’ll acknowledge you as my mom, and I might even respect you.”
“Otherwise, if you keep pretending to be my mom, I’ll report you for kidnapping.”
Tang Jinzhi continued her tirade on this side, while Tang Wan on the other side was furious. Every message she tried to send back showed a red exclamation mark, so all she could do was watch as the other side kept mocking her.
Unable to reply, Tang Wan was filled with rage and cursed Tang Jinzhi countless times in her mind.
Tang Jinzhi was thoughtful and quoted every one of Tang Wan’s messages in her replies, making sure not to miss a single one. Her persistent actions finally made things uneasy for Xie Xiangyi.
“Hello, Dr. Xie, why are you calling me? Can’t you handle it anymore?”
Tang Jinzhi hadn’t snapped out of her trash talk yet, and her opening line was a perfect display of that. It made Xie Xiangyi freeze for two seconds.
Xie Xiangyi’s face was full of dark lines. “Your biological mother called me. She called several times. I answered, and she was talking about you again… saying you’re uncultured… and she… finally told me to warn you to unblock her from your blacklist.”
After hearing what Xie Xiangyi said, Tang Jinzhi became furious.
“Huh? She came to you again? And she put on airs with you?” Tang Jinzhi’s brows, which she had just relaxed, furrowed again. She reopened the chat. “Wait for me. I’ll help you curse her out to let off some steam. Remember to block her.”
Xie Xiangyi held her forehead. She did feel very uncomfortable after hearing Tang Wan speak. The way she lectured her like an elder was too much. She completely trampled on Tang Jinzhi’s dignity, and it made Xie Xiangyi angry on Tang Jinzhi’s behalf.
Xie Xiangyi sighed deeply. “My aunt gave her my contact information. Since she’s your mom, out of politeness, I didn’t refuse her calls. I’m calling you to confirm your attitude. I’m going to block her now.”
Tang Jinzhi’s expression softened a little. She was really afraid that Xie Xiangyi would try to convince her not to fight with her biological mom. She really disliked listening to those lectures.
Luckily, Xie Xiangyi was a sensible person. Tang Jinzhi threw out a harsh truth as if she were just letting off steam: “She’s not my mom. I don’t have such an embarrassing mom. You’re right to block her.”
Xie Xiangyi’s lips twitched involuntarily. “I blocked her. You’ve already cursed her out, but why don’t you do it a little more to get it out of your system? Don’t get angry; it’s bad for your health.”
Tang Jinzhi’s fingers flew across the keyboard, and she didn’t forget to reply to Xie Xiangyi: “I’m cursing her out right now. And again, she’s really not my mom!”
Xie Xiangyi was helpless. “Mhm… I know.”
Tang Jinzhi’s tone was bold: “You don’t sound like you believe me. I’m telling you, I’m actually an orphan.”
Xie Xiangyi: “…Stop messing around. I’m hanging up. I have to work.”
Tang Jinzhi: “Okay, Dr. Xie. I’ll keep cursing.”
The call ended.
Tang Jinzhi stopped pressing her fingers on the screen. Her gaze was fixed on the phone, her emotions unreadable.
“Why don’t you believe me?”
She sighed softly, put her phone aside, and got out of the bathtub. The bath had been truly uncomfortable.
After drying her hair, Tang Jinzhi was too lazy to even eat dinner. She went to her room and just lay down.
Although she had been lying down at the hospital in the morning, she hadn’t slept well at all. She had woken up around 6 AM and hadn’t slept since. After being discharged, she went all the way to get a certificate. She was very tired now.
Lying in bed, Tang Jinzhi reviewed her current situation one last time before sleeping.
Mhm… no changes.
She thought about Tang Wan, whom she had just cursed out.
The woman couldn’t even get into her own supposed daughter’s engagement party. Anyone with a brain would know that someone was against her, and Tang Wan herself didn’t have the power to get into this engagement party.
Tang Jinzhi decided she would never contact this person again. What a pain.
As for the engagement party, she wished Tang Wan good luck.
Tang Jinzhi knew her place. She didn’t have the right to care about anything else. It was enough for her to feel good after cursing her out. What she should be most worried about now was her fake heiress identity being exposed.
But she wasn’t that worried.
Tang Jinzhi didn’t really care what she would face when that day came. She was only worried about facing it before she had a firm footing in her own field.
She hadn’t started making money yet, and she had to seize this great opportunity.
The only way to solve her worries was to get rich!
Tang Jinzhi secretly cheered herself on, then rolled over in bed, and decided to take a nap first.
