Kicked Back to a Rich Family by the Real Eldest Daughter - Chapter 12
Chapter 12
Physically and mentally exhausted, Tang Jinzhi quickly fell into a deep sleep. The already quiet room descended into an even deeper silence.
Tang Jinzhi slept soundly, with no dreams.
The nerves that had not been fully relaxed for many days finally found relief in this sleep.
When Tang Jinzhi woke up, it was still night outside. She felt weak, and her soft limbs moved unconsciously under the blanket.
She was hungry. Her consciousness hadn’t fully returned, but Tang Jinzhi felt that she had been awakened by hunger.
She lay in bed for a few minutes before opening her eyes. Her muddled brain finally cleared up a lot.
She didn’t know where she had thrown her phone. Tang Jinzhi propped herself up and sat on the bed. The room was dark. She rubbed her messy hair and sat there for a while before turning on the light.
She stumbled out of the room and into the bathroom, only to realize that she hadn’t prepared any toiletries yet.
Tang Jinzhi combed her hair, went back to her room, and found her phone in the gap by the headboard.
It was 1 a.m.
She switched her WeChat back to her work account. There were several unread messages.
They were from Xie Xiangyi and Zhang Yueqi.
She clicked on Xie Xiangyi’s chat first.
Xie Xiangyi: “Not long after I blocked her, my aunt came to ask me about it. I tried to communicate with my aunt, but it didn’t work. When I get home, I’ll show you what they look like, so you can stay away from them in the future.”
Xie Xiangyi: “Remember to eat dinner. I can’t cook, so there’s no food at home. I’ll send you the address. You can order takeout if you’re hungry.”
There were only these two messages, and no more after that. Xie Xiangyi didn’t seem to care if she replied or not.
Tang Jinzhi read the messages and smiled, her expression relaxed, feeling completely at ease.
Xie Xiangyi was very clear-headed and wouldn’t question her because of a few words from them.
And she told her everything she heard about her, not hiding a single thing.
Tang Jinzhi loved Xie Xiangyi’s honesty and trust in her.
Xie Xiangyi even disliked her own aunt.
Tang Jinzhi felt after reading this that Xie Xiangyi was on her side.
Tang Jinzhi replied with a smile: “Okay, Dr. Xie. We’ll stay away from them.”
Tang Jinzhi: “I just woke up from hunger. Are there new toiletries at home?”
Tang Jinzhi: “Are you busy? Are you still busy at this hour?”
Tang Jinzhi: “When are you coming back?”
Xie Xiangyi was startled back to attention by the constant vibrations of her phone. She moved her gaze from the computer screen to her phone, which was charging on the side.
Sending her messages at this hour. Although Xie Xiangyi was a little confused, she could probably guess who it was.
Sure enough, it was Tang Jinzhi.
She had wondered earlier in the evening why Tang Jinzhi hadn’t replied to her messages, and now she was here.
Even when she didn’t send Tang Jinzhi a message, the other person would still send a couple of lines from time to time, which gave Xie Xiangyi a strange feeling she couldn’t quite put her finger on.
It was like Tang Jinzhi was forcing her to show up and confirm that she was still there.
Xie Xiangyi: “There’s a new toothbrush and towel under the sink. You can use my toiletries. If you don’t like the brand, just buy new ones.”
Xie Xiangyi: “I’ll be back at 8 a.m., unless something unexpected happens.”
Xie Xiangyi: “You’ve been sleeping until now?”
Tang Jinzhi held her phone and walked to the bathroom, following Xie Xiangyi’s instructions to find the toothbrush and towel, and then replied.
“I couldn’t sleep well at the hospital. I fell asleep after taking a bath when I got back and just woke up. I found the toothbrush.”
After replying, Tang Jinzhi started brushing her teeth.
While brushing, she picked up the toiletries on the counter and looked at them. Tang Jinzhi knew her stuff, and she was sure she wouldn’t dislike them.
She then clicked on the messages from Zhang Yueqi.
Zhang Yueqi: “Are you free tomorrow? I’ll come over to hang out!”
Zhang Yueqi: “Just in time to celebrate your discharge. My treat for dinner.”

Zhang Yueqi: “No way, you went to bed so early?”
Tang Jinzhi wondered how to reply while brushing her teeth.
Zhang Yueqi was so lively. She must have a lot of good friends, right?
Why did it seem like she was closer to her?
After washing up beautifully, Tang Jinzhi replied to her.
Tang Jinzhi: “I’m free tomorrow, but I don’t want to go out.”
Tang Jinzhi: “Xie Xiangyi has to rest during the day, so she won’t have time to go out either.”
Tang Jinzhi: “And unless something unexpected happens, I’ll be sleeping in the morning too. How about you come over in the afternoon?”
Zhang Yueqi replied instantly: “Ah, I was planning to go in the afternoon anyway. It’s perfect that you’re not going out. I can just buy all the good food I like and bring it over!”
“Hehe, I’m not just coming to hang out. I have something to tell you!”
Tang Jinzhi was surprised that she replied so quickly at this hour. So everyone was a night owl.
Tang Jinzhi: “What is it?”
Zhang Yueqi: “I’ll tell you tomorrow. I’m going to sleep now. My mom is back.”
Tang Jinzhi: “…”
Zhang Yueqi always gave her the impression that she was chatting with an immature high school classmate.
There was a reason she got along so well with the little girl in the next room at the hospital.
The maturity and stability of Dr. Qiu and Zhang Yueqi’s…
How did these two get together?
Tang Jinzhi pinched the bridge of her nose. Forget it, she didn’t want to think about it.
She couldn’t ship it. There was no chemistry.
She copied the address Xie Xiangyi gave her and ordered takeout from the delivery app.
She usually took a long time to choose her takeout, but this time she was fast, because there wasn’t much to eat at midnight. The most common thing was barbecue, with an occasional fried chicken shop here and there.
Tang Jinzhi didn’t want to eat barbecue right after waking up, so she ordered a portion of fried chicken.
Just as she was about to continue complaining to Xie Xiangyi, she found that a new group had appeared in her chat list.
It was created by Zhang Yueqi, who had said she was going to sleep.
Group Chat (3)
Zhang Yueqi: “Can you two date in here?”
Zhang Yueqi: obedient cat head.jpg
Xie Xiangyi: “?”
Tang Jinzhi’s eyes twitched.
Tang Jinzhi: “Does anyone have her mom’s contact info? Send it to me.”
Tang Jinzhi: “@I’m Married”
Xie Xiangyi: “?”
Xie Xiangyi: “Contact Card”
Zhang Yueqi: “….”
…
Tang Jinzhi almost choked. She unbelievably clicked into Xie Xiangyi’s information page and saw the four conspicuous words “I’m Married.” She took a few deep breaths.
Everything was so absurd. Were there no normal people in this world?!
She ignored the group chat and quickly clicked on Xie Xiangyi’s chat page.
She typed a few times and deleted it a few times in the input box.
Tang Jinzhi didn’t know how to talk to her.
After a long time of thinking, she just asked directly: “Why would you have that username?”
Xie Xiangyi’s reply was very straightforward: “What’s wrong with it? Isn’t it great? This way everyone knows I’m married.”
Tang Jinzhi’s mind finally caught up. It was because of the hospital gossip.
Xie Xiangyi wasn’t being absurd. She really thought this way. It was convenient, so she changed it.
But, those four glaring words…
Tang Jinzhi patted her blushing face, let out a light breath, and replied: [Why didn’t you just take a picture of our marriage certificate and post it on your Moments? Wouldn’t that be more convenient?]
Everyone had nicknames now. Who would bother looking at her username?
Tang Jinzhi didn’t know that after Xie Xiangyi changed her username, she deliberately asked a few people to tag her in the hospital group chat.
It was very eye-catching.
Because of this, she even got a laugh from Dr. Qiu.
Xie Xiangyi: “…I forgot about the marriage certificate.”
Xie Xiangyi tried to save face, “I changed it before we got the certificate.”
The thought that she had a part in that username made Tang Jinzhi shiver. She immediately advised: “Change it back quickly.”
Xie Xiangyi: “No. They’ve all seen it.”
Xie Xiangyi: “And I’ve had a lot more peace and quiet since I used this username.”
So she was using it to ward off admirers.
Tang Jinzhi was speechless. She just felt choked up.
Tang Jinzhi: Image
Tang Jinzhi: “I took a picture of the marriage certificate for you. Post it on your Moments. You’ll have even more peace and quiet after you post it.”
Xie Xiangyi: “Okay.”
Xie Xiangyi did whatever Tang Jinzhi said. In less than half a minute, Xie Xiangyi’s Moments had a new post.
It was just a picture, with no text.
But that was enough.
Tang Jinzhi was too embarrassed to look at the announcement for a long time.
She thought to herself, all of Xie Xiangyi’s shame was probably being dumped on her.
Didn’t Xie Xiangyi feel embarrassed with that username?
Tang Jinzhi: “Okay, okay, go change your username.”
Xie Xiangyi: “Okay, can’t I just not change it?”
Tang Jinzhi felt that the other person was a little unwilling, but Tang Jinzhi’s face would turn red every time she saw those four words.
Tang Jinzhi: “You can even use a couple’s username with me, just not those four words!”
People who didn’t know would think Xie Xiangyi was showing off.
Xie Xiangyi: “Okay, I’ll change it. Don’t get so worked up.”
Tang Jinzhi: “I’m not worked up. I don’t feel anything at all.”
Xie Xiangyi: “Is that so? Then I’m not changing it.”
Tang Jinzhi: “…Change it quickly. You’re my wife now. You’re embarrassing me. My skin is thin. I’m embarrassed. I’m begging you.”
Xie Xiangyi: “Haha.”
Xie Xiangyi: “Actually, I already changed it before I posted on my Moments.”
Tang Jinzhi: “…”
Tang Jinzhi knew everything now. She was deliberately teasing her.
And Xie Xiangyi was laughing?
She must be so happy right now…
After knowing her for about half a month, this was the first time Tang Jinzhi saw her show her emotions during a chat.
After a few seconds of being stunned, she decided to attack back: “Dr. Xie, you seem very free right now. Have you finished your paper?”
Xie Xiangyi: …
Can we not have a good chat now?
