Let's Do Some Questions - Chapter 87
Song Man had no time to think if her reaction was too enthusiastic. Like Chu Fengqiu, she had also waited for a long time.
Chu Fengqiu cupped her face, her gentle kisses raining down from her brow to her lips, utterly tender.
Song Man responded with clumsy passion, like a cat marking its territory with sniffs.
Her already reddish lips became glistening and bright.
Chu Fengqiu gazed intently into Song Man’s eyes, searching for her reflection, carefully leaving her own mark on Song Man.
The bed was also enveloped in that starlight. Song Man fell back, as if falling into clouds.
Her skin was cool and pale, and in the blue sheets and dim light, she looked like a mermaid draped in the magnificent night, even her delicate collarbone filled with flowing light that spilled onto her.
Song Man deliberately raised her fingers and played them across Chu Fengqiu’s back. She looked at Chu Fengqiu’s face, finding none of the usual calm there, and revealed a triumphant smile.
It was Chu Fengqiu losing control for her.
Despite the teasing, when she was touched, Song Man couldn’t help but pull back.
She pushed her messy hair back, feeling a little flustered.
“This feels a bit strange.”
Song Man sat up, took a deep breath, and even mentally smoked a cigarette to calm down.
Who goes straight to home base right after confirming the relationship?!
“I didn’t mean to rush this much.”
Chu Fengqiu felt a bit annoyed. Her planned first time shouldn’t have been in this foreign land, even if it was beautiful and held commemorative meaning. But the sheets tomorrow would be a problem.
“I know, I know.”
It was hard to control their emotions.
Song Man’s fingers danced on Chu Fengqiu’s body, only to be caught by Chu Fengqiu’s hand.
“Chu Fengqiu! What are you doing?!”
Song Man arched her back in surprise, staring blankly at Chu Fengqiu.
“Did I scare you?”
Chu Fengqiu looked up from the lush grass, licking the dew from the petals.
“It’s… it’s very strange.”
Song Man felt a little dizzy. Perhaps the stars were too dazzling, so much so that even after falling into a deep sleep, she remained in this starry river.
When Song Man woke up the next day, she was still in a great mood.
All the mirrors in the room had been put away and placed to the side.
The wind-up kitten was placed to one side, and the box was also there.
Song Man rolled around on the bed, got dressed, and picked up the box by the bed.
Her sun, moon, and stars were still inside. The one she had opened was on top, already folded back into a star.
Song Man opened another star, saw the words full of deep affection, and smiled, propping her face in her hand.
Chu Fengqiu stood at the door, watching the wind-up kitten stop in front of her, and reached out to pick it up.
“Breakfast is already heated. You can eat after you get up and wash up.”
Chu Fengqiu sat down beside Song Man and naturally kissed Song Man’s face. She had intended to kiss her lips, but Song Man covered her mouth beforehand.
“I’m going to wash up.”
Song Man put on her shoes from the bed and stood up somewhat hastily.
Damn it, why did she still feel so shy?!
“Okay.”
Chu Fengqiu picked up the opened note from the box and folded it back into a star.
“Wait, what if I open the same one later?”
Song Man looked at the stars that looked pretty much the same. If they got mixed up, it would be easy to open duplicates.
“For the stars that are folded back, I’ll draw a heart on them.”
“But then there will be fewer and fewer to open,” Song Man said, feeling a bit reluctant, thinking she was being silly.
“No, because I’ll put one star in every day. When this box is full, I’ll put them in a new container. There are so many stars, you can’t count them all.”
Chu Fengqiu took out a pen and drew a small heart on the little star.
Song Man inexplicably blushed and ran out with quick steps.
On the way back after washing up, she ran into Yuna.
“Song, you woke up quite late today.”
Song Man remembered last night, and a trace of unnaturalness quickly flashed across her face.
“I had a beautiful dream and didn’t want to wake up so quickly.”
Song Man blinked, her tone light.
Yuna saw that she was genuinely happy and remembered what Song Man had said yesterday.
“Did the thing you were looking forward to happen?”
“Yes, and I’m even happier than I imagined.”
Song Man said gleefully, humming a tune as she walked towards her room.
Yuna watched her retreating figure, seemingly infected by her good mood, a smile on her face.
When Song Man returned to the room, Chu Fengqiu was packing the mirrors.
“Are you… planning to pack these up?”
“Yes, take them back.”
“Huh? Take them back to China?”
“After all, they are important props that witnessed something beautiful.”
Chu Fengqiu held the mirrors, her fingers brushing over the surfaces, carefully placing them into a box.
“Speaking of which, where did you get these things? I didn’t see them at all.”
“Surprises must, of course, be hidden behind the scenes.”
Chu Fengqiu hadn’t initially planned this. In fact, for this day, she had thought of dozens of methods.
She had repeatedly considered each one and finally decided on this one. Seeing the sparkling look in Song Man’s eyes, her heart’s satisfaction reached its peak.
“You already gave me a preview though.”
Song Man poked Chu Fengqiu. This person was really too much.
“I couldn’t help it.”
“What?”
Song Man was stunned.
“I couldn’t help it. This is my first time preparing something like this, and I didn’t know if I could do it well. You mentioned the love letter, and I wanted you to know that you possess my affection.”
Chu Fengqiu touched Song Man’s hand with her finger, her movement gentle.
So it wasn’t deliberately teasing, but simply liking her too much, liking her so much she couldn’t help but say it.
“Then I’m really happy to have so, so much of your affection.”
Song Man met Chu Fengqiu’s eyes, kissed her on the lips, and when she tried to pull away, she was pulled back by Chu Fengqiu, deepening the entanglement.
Even the longest journey comes to an end. On the last day of the winter camp, the companions sang and danced, hoping to meet again if fate allowed.
Michelson walked over and stood beside Chu Fengqiu.
Song Man watched from the side with her arms crossed. This guy had shown interest in Chu Fengqiu from the beginning, but couldn’t get anywhere. Chu Fengqiu was impervious, very aloof.
Halfway through the trip, this guy had even directly confessed his feelings to Chu Fengqiu. Chu Fengqiu rejected him, saying she had someone she liked. He left with a broken teenage heart. Song Man thought he wouldn’t talk to them again until the end of the trip, but unexpectedly, he came over again.
“Chu, although I’m very regretful that you already have someone you like, you can consider me.”
“Sorry, not considering.”
Before Chu Fengqiu could speak, Song Man spoke first.
“Because she’s mine.”
Song Man put her arm around Chu Fengqiu’s shoulder, and Chu Fengqiu nodded.
His teenage heart shattered for the second time, Michelson stared at them blankly, wishing them a hundred years of happiness in a daze.
“Hahahaha, I’m telling you, his expression at the time was really too funny.”
Song Man was sitting with her legs crossed, eating snacks. She swallowed the food in her mouth, hitting the table as she told Deng Wei about Michelson’s reaction.
It was now the evening of the second day after they returned. Chu Fengqiu had some things to deal with at school. Song Man didn’t plan to go to Evening Self-Study to doze off. Just as Deng Wei wanted to ask her about some problems, they agreed to meet at Deng Wei’s house.
Halfway through explaining the problems, Shen Conglin sent Deng Wei a message, and Deng Wei’s room was immediately filled with the sour smell of romance. After emitting the sour smell, Deng Wei even showed concern for Song Man, asking how things were with her.
Song Man was originally about to die of anger from explaining problems to Deng Wei, but when Deng Wei brought this up, she became energetic.
“What, wasn’t what I said funny?”
After laughing, Song Man saw Deng Wei in a dazed state and slapped the table expressionlessly.
Was her love not sweet?!
Sour! Everyone should be sour for me!
“Man Jie… wait… let me process this. You and my Goddess were in Norway, she confessed to you, and the person you mentioned all along was my Goddess?”
From the moment Deng Wei started hearing the gossip, he felt like this wasn’t the world he knew.
“Yeah.”
Deng Wei was in a daze, picking up his practice book and looking at x, y, and z to calm down.
“No, why aren’t you happy for me?!”
As his big sister, wasn’t he going to give her a single blessing for being in love?!
“I’m a little overwhelmed with happiness.”
Deng Wei was quite surprised at first. He had known Song Man for so long and never thought she liked the same s3x. After the shock, he thought about it again and realized he hadn’t seen Song Man like boys all this time either.
If the person was Chu Fengqiu, it seemed even more reasonable.
Thinking about it this way, it seemed pretty great.
Deng Wei put down the practice book and slapped the table.
“Why are you being so jumpy???”
“Man Jie, let’s go, drink, celebrate you getting out of being single, we must drink, let’s pull in my Chu Jie, let’s go!”
“Come back.”
Song Man grabbed the back of Deng Wei’s collar and pulled him back.
“Jie, Jie, Jie, it hurts, it’s pulling my hair!”
“Finish your homework before you go out. Do you think I’d leave you out of the celebration drinks?”
Song Man held Deng Wei in place, forcing him to continue facing the math problems.
Song Man was someone who never liked to hide things. She couldn’t tell her parents and Song Qinglan, but there was nothing she dared not say in front of Deng Wei.
Song Man’s love was always open and honest, never fearing worldly judgment.
After Deng Wei finished his homework, Song Man called Chu Fengqiu to go out and eat together. She called Mao Mao, Deng Wei brought Shen Conglin, and a few close people had a happy time together.
What Song Man hadn’t expected was Ailan calling to congratulate her.
Song Man hadn’t told Ailan yet. She held her phone, looking at Deng Wei.
Deng Wei nodded, pointing to himself.
In Deng Wei’s opinion, Ailan used to be so close to Song Man. Now that Song Man was in love, Ailan should know too.
“Man Jie, congratulations.”
Ailan’s background was a bit noisy, her voice reaching Song Man’s ears.
“Thanks. How have you been lately?”
“Pretty good.”
Ailan’s background went from noisy to quiet; she must have walked to a less crowded place.
“That’s good. If you come back to Qingcheng, remember to call me.”
“Okay, I will.”
“Alright, if there’s nothing else, I’ll hang up now. Let’s keep in touch when we have time.”
Towards a former close friend, Song Man didn’t know what else to say.
“Man Jie, if back then…”
“What?”
Song Man only heard a sound like wind whistling, covering Ailan’s voice.
“Nothing. The subway is coming. I’m getting on now. Bye.”
“Okay, bye.”
Ailan hung up the phone and entered the crowded carriage.
If she had confessed back then, would things have been different?
Ailan thought, no, they wouldn’t have.
She had actually been thinking all along whether she liked Song Man herself, or the strength she brought.
Song Man pulled her out of the mud, helped her a lot, and told her that when people are alive, no one is inferior to anyone else, and no one needs to live by depending on anyone else.
She used to think her life would be terrible without Song Man, but now she realized that wasn’t necessarily true.
Losing herself was the worst thing.
