- Episode 50 - I can't stand the level-up mania
Shinjuku Dungeon 4th floor, open the door to the monster room and enter.
He threw the backpack he was carrying against the wall in a room as large as a school gymnasium and pulled out the long sword hanging from his waist.
The moment 16 goblins appeared from the summoning circle in the center of the room, I activated my “Fighting Spirit” and “Sword Spirit” and kicked the ground.
Furthermore, the effect of Goblin Slayer has already been activated automatically.
This is the current enhanced status.
————————————————–
Strength 118 (+62)
Sturdy 95 (+50)
Intelligence 7 (+1)
《Mind》20 (+2)
《Agility》107 (+56)
Dexterity 56 (+5)
————————————————–
His attack power is already excessive, so there’s no need for 《Madness》. Hinata isn’t here today, so there’s no need for 《Provoke》.
“–First one!!”
As I approached, I swung my sword and sent a flying blade of 《Sword Spirit》 flying.
The attack was aimed at the Goblin Mage, but the Goblin Thief quickly used himself as a shield and prevented it. However, the thief was defeated, and my goal was to raise the goblins’ vigilance by attacking them, forcing the warrior to prepare a shield, so this was fine.
“Owwwww!!”
With an agility value of over 100, he charges into the group of goblins with incredible speed.
The Goblin Warrior at the front of the group anticipated my attack and put up his shield on the spot.
I kicked off the floor and jumped. I flew and kicked the warrior’s shield — or rather, I landed one foot on the shield, pushed down with my weight and momentum, and then I straightened my bent knee and kicked the shield.
 Jump high and high.
As I reached the peak of my jump, I looked down.
He swiftly swung his sword, sending a flying blade.
 There are three slashes.
I took out the Goblin Commander who was in the center of the group, as well as the Mage and Archer who were at the back and separated from the Thief, with a slash.
“What’s wrong?! Your reactions are too slow, Goblins!”
With the Commander defeated, the buff effect from Command disappeared. The shock caused them to delay their pursuit of me in the air, and the arrows and magic they used passed far above my head as I fell.
 Landing.
“Kihihi…!!”
 smile.
As expected, he seemed far more at ease than when they fought before.
This is simply because my status has increased, but it may also be because I’m getting used to fighting the goblin groups led by the Commander.
Still in high spirits, I charged into the group of goblins.
The key to efficiently soloing this monster room is to consume as little HP as possible in battle.
There are two things to be careful of. The first is the duration of the battle. The longer the battle goes on, the more HP you will consume through “Fighting Spirit.” The other is overusing the flying blade of “Sword Spirit.”
The flying blade is a very useful long-distance attack, but just maintaining Sword Spirit consumes 1 HP every 10 seconds, and each time the flying blade is fired, another 1 HP is needed.
The more you use the flying blade, the faster your HP will be consumed.
So what I should do is not to keep my distance and fight from a distance, but to charge into the group of goblins and engage in close combat and melee combat.
With mediocre abilities, I would just get surrounded and killed, but with the way I am now, I can do it.
In this case, the most troublesome enemy is the shield-wielding warrior. I have suffered against this guy many times before.
However, I have already discovered a way to utilize my excessive offensive power against goblins to neutralize them.
“Ola, go to sleep!!”
I charged towards the warrior, and the moment I got within sword range, I quickly lowered my body.
The eye level is lower than the warrior’s shield.
Naturally, this left the Warrior’s lower body defenselessly exposed in front of me.
There, I swung my sword sideways in a large sweep.
Well, this kind of thing wouldn’t be possible unless there was a big difference in agility values. Normally, it would be blocked by a shield.
But with the current status difference, this is possible. The warrior can’t keep up with my movements.
 Anyway――
“Guuuuuhhhh!?”
The warrior’s legs are severed at the thigh level, and he falls through the air.
Although bl00d was spurting from the cut surface of his thigh, he wasn’t dead yet. However, after getting this far, ignore the rest.
The only troublesome thing about warriors is that they can block attacks with their shields. If a warrior can no longer do that, they’re no longer an enemy. Or rather, if you leave them alone, they’ll bleed to death.
Then, ignoring the warrior, he jumps into the group and starts hunting down goblins at random.
The downside to this is that you’re exposed to attacks from all sides, but since the agility value is easily more than twice as much as the goblins’, it’s not difficult to dodge their attacks. Besides, I usually kill them before they attack me.
 In addition, there are benefits.
When the battle becomes melee, Archers and Mages have fewer attacks, likely due to concerns about friendly fire.
Even so, if there is even the slightest opening, they will still shoot.
These guys have more dexterity than top athletes and the skills to rival them. Even in a melee situation, when they can attack in a way that won’t hit their allies, they don’t hesitate.
However, with such a large difference in agility values, it would be easy to avoid individual attacks that didn’t even form a barrage.
To conserve HP, I killed the Commander and the other two in turn, then stopped using my 《Sword Spirit》 skill and started defeating the goblins in close combat.
The warrior sliced off the goblins’ legs and left them there, running through the group of goblins now without a shield to serve as his shield, slashing away at each one he passed.
And all the goblins were defeated within 40 to 50 seconds of the start of the battle.
The HP consumed was only 24.
My HP is now over 100, so I can go through the monster rooms four times in a row. Moreover, I brought four of the basic heal potions I had previously acquired.
In other words, with four potions, you have a stock of 120 HP.
And what’s more!! Because Hinata-san wasn’t here today, the experience points I gained weren’t divided. So the total experience points I could get from going around the monster rooms once was 4,410.
 Hmmm, amazing…!!
In terms of efficiency, it would be less efficient when Hinata was there, but by taking more time, it seemed like I could easily earn the same amount of experience points as I had the other day. 50,000 to 60,000, maybe even 70,000.
 It’s just… I just realized.
“Hey hey… Maybe if I take that skill to the max level, I won’t even need 《Fighting Spirit》…?”
I thought as I picked up the magic stones scattered around the room.
This fight was far too easy, probably because I was getting used to it. I easily won against a group of goblins.
So, if I use all the skill points I have saved up, I can bring my level 1 skill up to its maximum level. Then, maybe I can win the battle in the monster room without using my fighting spirit.
However, the experience required for level 20 onwards increases dramatically, so it’s not that easy to level up. That’s why I thought I’d save my skill points. At least, I wouldn’t use one point.
 Reason speaks.
Just bear with it for now.
Is it sane to pour precious skill points into that skill?
But what if you could defeat these goblins without using Fighting Spirit?
Although 《Sword Spirit》 may use up some HP a few times, it is only a small amount. There is no need to take a break, and it will only recover naturally over time as you go around.
 yes.
If you don’t use up much HP in battle, you can quickly go around the monster room without taking a break as long as your stamina lasts.
By now, I’m used to fighting her, and I’m sure I can maintain concentration for longer periods of time.
When that happens, how much experience will you be able to gain?
“Haa, haa… No, it’s no good! I, hold on, I…!!”
 Use your skill points wisely.
