- Episode 52 - Level-Up Maniac Gets a Skill Orb
I went around in circles.
I circled with all my might.
Run around the monster room.
Today, I arrived at the monster room on the fourth floor at around 11 am.
After that, I raised the skill levels twice and tried out and considered the effects of the leveled-up skills, so I was only able to go around eight times in the first hour.
However, in the next hour, it completes 12 laps as calculated.
Then, from 1 pm, we took a one-hour break for lunch in the monster room where we had wiped out all the goblins.
The circuit resumes at 2 pm.
For the next two hours, I was able to complete another 12 laps. I think I had enough energy.
However, once it was past 4 pm, it felt like all the fatigue he had been building up until then had suddenly set in. He made more mistakes in battle, and there were more dangerous situations, so he had no choice but to activate his 《Fighting Spirit》 several times.
Still, as I continued to circle, I got hit by an enemy attack for the first time today.
The Archer’s arrow pierced his shoulder and thigh, slowing his movements with pain, and he was hit by the Thief’s blow.
My HP, which had already decreased somewhat, suddenly dropped to less than 20%, and I was overcome with a rather serious sense of crisis, thinking, “Oh no? Am I going to die like this?”
However, thanks to the activation of “Bl00d Vengeance” and a 20% increase in all of his ability values, he somehow managed to escape the danger.
After wiping out the goblins, I took a 30-minute break. In the end, I ended up using two of the four potions I brought with me to heal my damage and wounds.
Thankfully, thanks to the HP barrier, the wound wasn’t too deep.
At 5:00pm, we resumed the laps. Perhaps because we had a break at the end, we were able to complete 12 laps in the one hour that followed, up until 6:00pm.
I felt like fatigue had built up to the core of my body, so I decided to call it a day.
Below are today’s results.
Number of laps around the Monster Room: 62.
The total number of goblins defeated was 992.
Number of beginner-level heal potions dropped: 18.
Total experience points earned: 273,420.
At the end of the loop, this was my status.

Yes, your level has increased.
Who would have thought that they would be able to level up in just one day without any irregularities like Kanzaki and the others…!!
At level 20, you start with 300,000 experience points, and the experience points required increase by 15,000 for each level, so I didn’t think leveling up would be easy, and that’s what the strategy wiki said as well.
But the result is as you can see.
Who would have thought I could level up just by defeating 992 goblins on the 4th floor (although in reality, I leveled up after defeating even fewer)!
I’ve already gained 270,000 experience points just today, and as I level up and gain more stamina, my efficiency will surely improve.
Maybe it’s possible to level up to level 29 at a rate of roughly one level per day.
And then — have you noticed?
Yes, you’ve learned a couple of new skills.
Yes. Here are the details of the new skills:
————————————————–
【skill】
《Daily Life Magic Level 1》――By consuming 5 MP once, the user can use the magic of [Ignition], [Heating], [Drinking Water], [Air Conditioning], [Gentle Breeze], [Sound Amplification], [Dig Hole], and [Earth Bank].
《Magic Sword Lv.1》―Can use magic swords according to acquired magic attributes. Can envelop swords in a magical aura, increasing damage by 1.2 times. Can also send out a magic aura as a slash, but the damage is 1.0 times. Consumes 1 MP every 10 seconds. 1 MP is consumed when sending out a slash.
————————————————–
First, let me explain about Magic Sword; it’s the skill he used when he fought Kanzaki.
Its effect is like a magical version of 《Sword Spirit》.
However, damage calculations refer to the sum of Strength and Intelligence divided by 2, and the attack attribute changes from physical to magical. In other words, when you get hit by a Magic Sword, it’s Spirit rather than Toughness that is referenced for HP loss.
So, with this skill, I should be able to defeat the Goblin Knight I fought before without too much difficulty. That guy has high 《Toughness》 but low 《Spirit》.
As you progress to lower levels, you will encounter monsters that are immune to physical damage, so this 《Magic Sword》 skill is an essential skill for a warrior-type explorer like me.
Next, let’s talk about 《Life Magic》.
A total of over 200 Goblin Mages had been defeated so far, and finally, a Skill Orb had dropped!
It is a fantasy item that looks like a fist-sized crystal sphere with a faint light flickering from within. When used, it turns into countless particles of light that are absorbed by the user, allowing the user to learn the targeted skill at level 1 without consuming points.
If anyone is thinking, “It only takes 200 to drop? That’s easy,” then I’ll be sure to tell you that they’re gaming.
Certainly, a drop rate of 0.5% is not a big deal in today’s games, but defeating over 200 target monsters in a real dungeon is quite difficult.
After all, the target monsters don’t always appear. Even in this monster room, only three mages appear at a time. Defeating more than 200 of them is, well, difficult…? I think so.
Well, I sort of feel like I achieved it in just a few days.
I feel like I killed nearly 200 in just one day.
Anyway!
Nevertheless, explorers heading for the lower levels seek out this “Life Magic” skill orb.
The reason for this is, of course, not because magic like “drinking water” or “ignition” is convenient.
The further down you go, the more difficult it becomes to carry water, but there is a water bottle-shaped magic item that produces water using magic stones. It’s quite expensive, but an explorer can buy one.
Therefore, even if one acquires 《Life Magic》, it is a skill that is rarely used.
Ignition? I think it’s a good idea to bring a lighter or something.
So, what is so great about this skill? Firstly, it fulfills the conditions for obtaining the Magic Sword.
The conditions for acquiring the Magic Sword are to have some kind of magic skill and the Sword Spirit skill. By the way, the skill level of either skill doesn’t matter.
Well, in other words, the skill orb is the easiest magic skill to obtain in the dungeon, which is why 《Life Magic》 is so popular… but that’s not all.
Did you notice that the skill description for Magic Sword says, “You can use a magic sword according to the magic attributes you have acquired”?
If you then take a look at the magic that can be used with 《Life Magic》, you will understand just how amazing this magic is.
That’s right! By learning just one 《Life Magic》 skill, you will have acquired the four magical attributes of fire, water, wind, and earth!!
amazing!!
By the way, increasing the skill level of 《Life Magic》 reduces the MP consumption. However, the effect is uniform and is not affected by the presence or absence of 《Intelligence》 or magic support skills, making it an extremely rare skill.
To be honest, there is no one who would raise their level by using points. There are people who raise their level by using methods that don’t use points , though.
Anyway.
“Now you’re ready to proceed to the fifth floor.”
With the 《Magic Sword》 skill, you’ll be able to defeat the Goblin Knight and move to a more efficient hunting ground.
“…Well, I’m not going to the fifth floor yet.”
Of course.
With Hinata not around, the number of battles I could fight was limited in places that consumed HP and MP.
So, for now, this monster room on the fourth floor is the hunting ground where I can get the most experience points efficiently.
I’ll be leveling up here for a while.
Oh, by the way.
Today I sold only magic stones, but the total came to over 7.7 million yen. This is before taxes, though.
…What is it?
Today’s job is indeed dangerous enough that I could have died, but even so, doesn’t an explorer make too much money?
Well, I suppose it’s because the economy is booming right now… but maybe all humanity who are short on cash should just go around the Monster Room…
