- Episode 59 - The Level-Up Maniac Becomes a Goblin Genocider
April 7th.
I came to Shinjuku Dungeon again today.
I went down to the first floor, started jogging, and then, as usual, went to the monster room on the fourth floor. It took me 1 hour and 35 minutes.
This is still not a full sprint, but that’s probably due in large part to the increased agility value.
Anyway, as soon as I arrived at the hunting ground, I started patrolling.
I didn’t use my “fighting spirit” but only my “sword spirit” and adjusted my HP to activate it. I continued going around like yesterday. Always Bl00d
When I was collecting potions for Kawabata-san, I ran around the area without taking a break, but now, to run for long periods, I take about 30 seconds to a minute after each battle to catch my breath (the time varies depending on how tired I am).
Without this, even if I used potions to recover from fatigue, I wouldn’t have the stamina to last for hours, so this time is surprisingly important.
Still, it made about 33 revolutions per hour.
The reason I didn’t get my best record of 36 laps was probably because I wasn’t in the zone like I was then, but it’s easy to get a record anyway. All you have to do is go full speed for an hour.
However, if we did that, we wouldn’t be able to complete long laps, so this pace is probably the limit.
That day, I continued circling until about 7 pm and then headed home.
Below are today’s results.
Number of laps around the Monster Room: 244 (actual working time excluding breaks: 7 hours 25 minutes).
The total number of goblins defeated was 3,904.
Number of basic heal potions dropped: 73 (60 of which were used to recover from fatigue. After that, my heart started pounding for some reason, so I refrained from using them, but my stamina still managed to make it in time.
Number of magic stones acquired.
Number of skill orbs acquired: 3.
Total experience points earned: 1,076,040.
As you can imagine, I’ve gone up two levels and am now at level 28.
I’ll be at level 29 tomorrow.
but.
Ah, but.
That’s not a big deal. With my current roaming ability (the ability to roam the hunting grounds efficiently), this is just a foregone conclusion.
The problem occurred during a lap today.
–No, I had a hunch about it yesterday.
I could feel his movements gradually getting stronger… And today, it happened.
Those of you with good intuition may have noticed, but… that’s right, the total number of goblins I have defeated so far has finally surpassed 10,000!!
After killing 100 goblins, I was lucky enough to get the “Goblin Killer” due to a misunderstanding on the internet.
And when he had defeated 1000 goblins, his skill “Goblin Killer” had reached maximum level, and his title and skill evolved to “Goblin Slayer.”
So what if you defeated 10,000 goblins and maxed out the Goblin Slayer skill…?
Yes, this is how it happens.

–Goblin Genocider
That’s a new skill that has evolved.
And besides that, there are more titles and skills, right?
When I checked my status during my lunch break today, something had grown. I think it was probably because I was featured on Mogi-san’s “Corporate Slave Busters” channel…
Well, here are the details for each:
————————————————–
【title】
《Goblin Genocider》 – proof of one who slaughters goblins. You have been recognized as one who targets and exterminates goblins. Your relentless slaughter has reached the level of genocide. In fighting goblins, your body will become sharper, and you will gain more experience.
《Swordsman》–You are recognized by many as a swordsman. When the enemy notices the flashing white blade, you have already finished swinging your sword. That quick and powerful flash can cut through even the toughest armor. You acquire the skill 《Strong Sword》.
【skill】
《Goblin Genocider Lv.1》—Damage dealt to goblins is increased by 4.0 times. When fighting goblins, all ability values except HP and MP are increased by 60%. Also, experience points gained from goblins are increased by 1.2 times.
{Hard Sword Lv.1} – Consumes 10 HP and increases damage dealt to the enemy by 4.0 times on the next sword attack.

Yep, here comes the broken skill!
Which one?
Both!!
Goblin Genocider’s abilities were, well, as I predicted. If I could raise it to the maximum level, it would have almost the same abilities as Last Murder. However, it targets goblins instead of humans, and Last Murder’s EXP multiplier is higher.
To be honest, it’s super strong and a desired EXP-doubling skill, but the fact that it’s limited to goblins is a bit of a problem.
Even if I increase the skill level, goblins only appear up to floor 10 in the Shinjuku dungeon. Moreover, the maximum level of goblins that appear is 30, so I’m afraid that once I reach a certain level, I won’t be able to use it anymore.
To be honest, there are EXP-doubling skills that are versatile and can be used on all monsters.
Well, it seems the drawbacks are so bad that no one takes it these days.
…So, I’ll hold off on deciding whether to allocate points or not.
And the other skill, 《Strong Sword》, has some pretty crazy abilities.
It’s a skill that consumes 10 HP and quadruples damage once. It consumes a lot of HP, but it’s a powerful skill. And this is at level 1.
For the time being, the title of 《Swordsman》 is already known, and other people hold it besides me. Also, the abilities of the sword have been made public, so we know what its final abilities will be.
If I remember correctly, in the end, it will be a skill that consumes 50 HP and increases damage by 20 times just once.
The HP consumption is insane, but the damage multiplier is also insane. Moreover, since other damage multiplier enhancing skills should also be applied, even if you only have “Increased Damage When Equipped with Swords”, it’s a truly broken skill that can deal 40 times the damage.
However, it’s still overkill when fighting goblins, and it’s not a skill that should be prioritized while operating above the 10th floor. Even level 1 is a strong enough skill.
Well, that’s about it for the new skills.
You may have also noticed that my 《Life Magic》 has quietly reached its maximum level.
Of course, this wasn’t because I had allocated points. So why did the level go up? It’s because I used a skill orb.
I had been using the 《Life Magic》 skill orb I had acquired over the past few days on myself.
If you stack skill orbs of the same skill, you can increase the level of that skill.
That’s why I kept the skill orbs instead of selling them.
It’s not that there’s any need to level up 《Life Magic》, but if I can reduce the MP consumption, it might come in handy someday.
Furthermore, whether you take them or not is irrelevant. Certain skills can be acquired if you have at least one magic skill at the maximum level.
It’s not a bad idea to fulfill the conditions for this.
