Little Blind Girl - Chapter 10
“Hey, you! What’s wrong with you!” The shopkeeper was anxious, “How can you take advantage of her like that!”
“How can this be called taking advantage? I’m doing a good deed anonymously!” Ke Congying walked over to Su Ruan’s side, nudged her arm, and said, “Right, Miss? You should thank me.”
Su Ruan replied, “…Thank you.”
Shopkeeper: “…”
It was only when it came time to pay at the counter that the shopkeeper found out that Su Ruan knew Ke Congying. He was furious and wanted nothing more than to beat the kid up. “Let me tell you, you little punk, there is not an ounce of truth in you! I almost treated you like a hooligan just now!”
Ke Congying was eating a pack of chili strips that Su Ruan had bought, and it was so spicy that he was wheezing. He quickly asked Su Ruan to unscrew the cap of the cola bottle for him. The shopkeeper really couldn’t watch on. “She can’t see, yet you’re still ordering her around!”
Su Ruan twisted the cap a few times, but found that it couldn’t be unscrewed, and her little face flushed.
The shopkeeper wanted to help, but Ke Congying took the bottle and said, “Listen up.”
He put the bottle next to Su Ruan’s ear, and then twisted it hard. There was a hissing sound.
“What was that sound just now?” Ke Congying asked.
Su Ruan replied with a hiss.
“No.” Ke Congying placed the icy cola to her face. Only when she recoiled from the cold did he say, “It said, kiss me!”
Su Ruan: “…”
The shopkeeper asked Su Ruan in slight disbelief, “Is he really your classmate?”
Su Ruan’s ears burned as she walked towards the door.
Ke Congying picked up the other things and followed her out. At the entrance of the supermarket, there were small stools to enjoy the cool air. Ke Congying took one and gave Su Ruan another one. She touched the stool and sat down.
Ke Zongying ate the spicy strips and drank the cola in turn. He was wheezing as if he was eating something delicious. Su Ruan beside him wasn’t hungry at all, but she couldn’t help swallowing while listening to him.
“You want some?” He stretched out his hand and handed over a half bitten spicy strip.
Su Ruan shook her head and asked in a low voice, “Are you injured?”
Over the past two years, Ke Congying had fought countless times and suffered countless injuries. The fight in the morning was the most unpleasant, because the other party had no power to fight back, so he was only kicked in the back twice.
But when Su Ruan asked, he let out a cry of pain. “Yes, my eyes, my head, ah, my mouth as well. There are several places, ouch, it hurts like hell.”
The shopkeeper sitting in the shop rolled his eyes while eating melon seeds.
When Su Ruan came down, she had put some band-aids in her pocket. Hearing what he said, she immediately took them out and handed them to him, “…Here.”
“I can’t see where to put them.”
“…I can’t see either.” Su Ruan whispered.
“Then I’ll guide you.”
Shopkeeper: “…”
The shopkeeper couldn’t watch on any longer. He was about to turn around and come out when he saw Su Ruan approaching Ke Congying with a band-aid.
The warm yellow glow of the sun fell on the two young faces at the door. The soft cloth strips behind Su Ruan’s head were gently blown up by the wind. It gently brushed her cheeks along with her hair. Turning her head slightly, she used her ears to sense Ke Congying’s direction and stretched her fingers out.
She had only just stretched out her fingertips when she was grabbed by the boy’s fingers.
Dry and hot to the touch, yet strong. A hand that belonged to a man. The joints were well defined and full of strength.
Su Ruan wanted to pull back but was held by that hand and brought into contact with his face.
Ke Congying put her hand on his eyebrow and looked up at her, speaking in a low voice, “Can you feel it?”
