Little Blind Girl - Chapter 12
Ke Congying owned a motorbike, which he usually parked at the door of a casserole shop across the street from the school on his way to and from school on weekdays.
He called Ge An to bring his bike over, and then stood against the wall with Su Ruan and waited.
“Have you eaten the candy?” Ke Congying asked.
Su Ruan nodded.
“Was it sweet?” he asked again.
Su Ruan nodded. “Yes.”
Ke Congying bent slightly and looked closer at her, “Are you always such a good girl?”
Su Ruan: “…”
The distance was too close, and the tip of Su Ruan’s nose was surrounded by the smell of the cola on his breath. It was refreshing with a distinct coolness. Her face flushed for no reason, and she pressed herself closer to the wall behind her. Her heart was beating rapidly in her chest.
When Ge An rode the bike over and saw this scene, he immediately let out an expletive in shock. “Brother Ying! Everyone thought you went to the Internet cafe! But you’re here picking up girls!”
Halfway through, he stared at the Band-Aid on Ke Congying’s nose and asked, “Brother Ying, did you just get into a fight? What’s wrong with your nose?”
Ke Congying walked over and scolded him in a low voice, “Piss off.”
He got on the motorcycle and rode right in front of Su Ruan, saying, “Get on.
Su Ruan couldn’t see it, so she reached out and touched the shape of the motorcycle and asked hesitantly, “Where are you taking me? I can’t go out for too long.”
Her parents would be worried if they didn’t see her when they got home.
“You’ll be back in an hour.” Ke Congying stretched out his arms, carried her to the edge of the back seat, and said to her, “Get on and hug me.
Su Ruan’s fingers trembled as she hesitated and stayed unmoving.
Seeing this, Ke Congying picked her up by the waist and put her on the back seat. He retracted her cane and placed it in her hands before riding off.
It was Su Ruan’s first time riding a motorcycle. Her palms were sweaty from nervousness, and her arms were tightly wrapped around his waist.
Ke Congying’s lips curled up slightly as he looked down at the two small white hands clasped tightly around his waist.
The trip was only about fifteen minutes long, but the rush of the wind had blurred Su Ruan’s mind. The excessive speed made her dizzy, and her heart was beating so fast that it seemed like it was going to jump out of her chest. When she got off the bike, Su Ruan’s legs were still shaking.
Ke Congying led her forward, and she obediently let him hold her hand. But he was a bit fast, and she couldn’t keep up. She staggered a little, and then he seemed to notice and slowed down.
Su Ruan was finally able to keep up with him, but the hand holding her was very hot with a hint of sweat, and the hot, damp sensation passed from his fingers. Her newly recovered heart started pounding again.
Halfway through, Ke Congying suddenly turned around and Su Ruan almost ran into his arms. He lowered his head and leaned in close to her, smiling and asking, “Why aren’t you afraid of me?
The cola on his breath smelled good. Su Ruan took a step back smoothly, and then asked in his direction, “Then why did you fight with them?”
Ke Congying replied matter-of-factly. “They cut your hair, isn’t that enough reason to beat them up?”
Su Ruan’s face was still turned up. Her eyes were covered with a strip of green cloth, making her face look small and delicate. Her bright red lips opened and closed, and her voice was a little light and soft.
“Ditto.”
“What did you say? You’re so touched that you want to repay me with your body?” Ke Congying asked deliberately.
Su Ruan: “…”
She had no idea where he had taken her. For a moment, the noise and bustle from all directions filled her ears. She was a little afraid of such a crowded place because she couldn’t tell the direction.
The force that held her hand tightened. His warm breath caressed her ear and his velvety voice sounded.
“Hold on tight.”
After speaking, he pulled her forward and into the building.
“Where is this?” she asked anxiously.
Ke Congying took her by the hand and led her to a machine. He pushed her onto a chair and said to her, “A place where you can let off steam.”
